RIVER Restaurant & Pizzeria in München

I have only ever ordered carry out or delivery via Lieferando, so I can’t tell you what dinning in is like, however the staff has always been very welcoming and friendly when we pick up our order. My favorite is the čevapčiči with the flatbread. It’s so good and they toast the bread on the grease of the sausages (as it’s done in the Balkans). This is my husband and my guilty pleasure meal and the price is very good compared to other places that make it subpar. The flavors are strong and savory. I’ve recommended my friends from Croatia and even Ukraine here. They’ve all loved it here. The Pizza Tonno is also very good. However, I recommend this if you can dine in or can personally pick it up and get it home fast enough, as our experience with delivery probably takes a little too long and the outcome is a very soggy pizza. Otherwise, a lovely place and any Balkan missing some awesome Čevapi, needs to give it a go.

Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The service was unfriendly and disinterested, and my concerns were barely addressed. The wait time was extremely long, even though there was hardly any activity. The value for money here is completely out of the question. I had hoped for much more and will definitely not be coming back. What a shame!

Good food but the dessert needs to be better you can't serve frozen fruit which is a shame given the price you can make it warm or serve fresh fruit

A wonderful restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and excellent food! We went there with the whole family and felt at home from the very beginning. Sunday evening – a quiet, clean and cozy place. It was my first time here with my son and my wife. My son had a pepperoni pizza which had a very special and delicious touch thanks to the wood fired oven. My wife enjoyed a salad with prawns, the vegetables were finely sliced, well seasoned and nicely presented. Unfortunately I don't know the name of my dish shown in the photo 😂, but I can say that everything was absolutely delicious! Kudos to the kitchen! The service was also impeccable - friendly and attentive from start to finish. A visit here will not disappoint you. Highly recommended!

We ordered via Lieferando. The tuna on the pizza was no longer good. Musty taste. In the restaurant I would have left it back and left. At these temperatures you have to turn up the cooling. And 2 olives on a 33cm pizza is probably a joke. Then you just have to cut them into small pieces if you don't have that many left. 2 stars because the right pizzas came on time.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at River and absolutely loved the experience. The menu offered an exquisite selection of dishes prepared with fresh and quality ingredients. My main course, Cordon Blue, was perfectly prepared and incredibly tasty. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made our visit even more pleasant. Overall, River offers world-class food and excellent service – a must-visit for foodies.

I was refused service here so I can't comment on the food and my partner had an exchange with two customers who made racist comments whilst I was clearing things up with the manager. My partner got there before me and made the manager know that we had reservations, he indicated that he was very aware if our reservation through the Groupon app and was expecting us. As soon as I arrived, the managers story changed and he said I hadn't confirmed the reservation. As I was in the restaurant, my partner who was outside already sitted heard two customers commenting about "die Kanaken" referring to me. Well needless to say I will not be returning here. Appalling treatment from the manager who suddenly couldn't remember my reservation upon seeing me.

Too few stars too good at any time and again and again

Yesterday and today I had really tasty pizza for dinner in the restaurant, but the hit is the grill plate for four people, you have to experience it, I can tell you!

Clean place, nicely presented. Toilet is clean. Service very friendly and quick. Food good, portions large, prices quite ok for Munich.

Pizza super big, plenty of toppings and crispy. Cevapcici very well seasoned and tasty. Restaurant very nicely decorated and very clean. Terrace very comfortable.

Food was ordered and delivery time was given as 45 minutes even though I live 2km away. At the end of the song there was a 1.5 hour wait! Worst delivery service ever, I can only advise against ordering there. For the prices this is an absolute disgrace.

I don't think the price-performance ratio is that great. In my opinion, a lot of finished products were sold. And quite expensive for that. The service was very friendly. But it always gives a bad impression when the staff hang around outside the restaurant.

Freshly prepared food that tastes authentic. Beautifully decorated, attention to details, looks upscale and elegant. The service from the employees is also a 10 out of 10, as they implemented individual requests very quickly. Definitely more than worth a visit!

Leider haben sich die Öffnungszeiten verkürzt 22 h Sodass man rauskomplientiert wird - SCHADE! Früher war das anders..und man durfte noch sitzen bleiben..die Pizzas haben auch sehr nachgelassen wenig Belag! Zum Glück gibt es viele andere Pizzerias im München wo man noch als Gast gerne gesehen wird!

Die besten Cevapcici in München und die Bohnensuppe, ich bin vom Geschmack begeistert. Ich hatte Angst, dass es nicht gut werden würde, weil ich noch nie von diesem Restaurant gehört hatte, aber als die Überraschung kam, war ich begeistert. Dieses Restaurant verdient von mir 5 Sterne definitiv!

Wir hatten zwar nur Pizza zum Mitnehmen, aber die war sehr gut. Wir hatten Salami- und Thunfisch-Pizza. Wir haben auch nicht lange warten müssen, sie war schnell fertig. Das Ambiente drinnen ist sehr schön - alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Es war für Mittwoch Abend, ca. 20.30 Uhr, sehr wenig los. Oder die meisten waren schon wieder weg 🤷🏼‍♀️. Für die leckere Pizza gibt's auf jeden Fall 5 🌟!

Service top - Essen köstlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und freuen uns jetzt schon auf den nächsten Besuch. Egal ob auf Terrasse oder im Restaurant, das Team sorgt mit seiner Freundlichkeit für eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Und ja - bringt Hunger mit, denn die Portionen sind nicht nur lecker, sondern auch groß, Preis-Leistung ausgezeichnet!!!

Der Scharnigarten ist richtig gemütlich, um den Tag ausklingen zu lassen. Die Pizza ist groß, zugeschnitten, ausreichend belegt, normal gewürzt wird im Ofen gebacken, (keine Steinofen Pizza!). Das Service Team ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Man fühlt sich gleich wohl. Die Wartezeiten sind kurz. Man kann bar oder mit Karte bezahlen. Die Toiletten sind sauber. Der einzige Kritikpunkt: Ich mag die italienische und die jugoslawische Küche. Aber nicht eine Vermischung beim selben Wirt.

Hervorragende Fischplatte. Personal und Ambiente waren sehr gut. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen!

Super nettes und freundliches Personal! Essen wurde immer sehr schnell und warm geliefert und schmeckt super! Immer wieder gerne!

Haben Ćevapčići zum liefern bestellt. Leider mussten wir lange warten und das Essen kam erst nachdem wir noch einmal angerufen haben nach 50 Minuten. Das Fleisch war super gewürzt, leider ohne Sauce und sonstigem in einem trockenen Brot. Ich kann nicht beurteilen wie das Essen im Restaurant auf den Tisch kommt. Bestellen würde ich nicht mehr. Zumal 13,90 € für 10 Stück ohne Beigabe im trocknen Brot schon viel ist.

Das Essen ist sehr gut. Um die Aufmerksamkeit der Bedienung muss regelrecht gekämpft werden. Sehr, sehr mühsam. Teilweise verlassen Gäste den Ort sogar, da jene schlicht nicht bedient werden....

Pizza Capricciosa mit Mozzarella, Peperoni, Knoblauch - alles inklusive 18,19 Euro. - Die Bestellung hat ein bischen gedauert, kam aber heiß - Die Pizza war größer (ca. 38 cm) als gewöhnlich - Belag ist OK - den Extra Knoblauch konnte ich leider nicht schmecken - Der Pizza Boden war oben und unten ein bischen "Dunkel" ! Preis / Leistung sind ein guter Kompromiss. Aber, es gibt noch Luft nach oben !!!

Das Essen war gut, nicht ganz günstig, aber wir sind halt in München. Freundlicher Service, wir waren 13 Leute und bekamen das Essen alle gleichzeitig. Alle waren zufrieden. Das Lokal ist sauber und gemütlich. Punktabzug dafür,dass man bei der Bestellung von Balkan Gerichten kein ajvar dazu bekommt, sondern nur auf Anfrage. Dieses kostet 1,90/Portion. Das haben wir noch nie erlebt. Das sollte das Restaurant mal überdenken.

Wir waren gestern am frühen Abend spontan hier. Haben direkt einen Tisch bekommen, da nicht viel los war & der Service hier ist wirklich sehr nett. Wir hatten beide Cevapcici, die waren okay, aber nichts besonderes. Wir hatten hier auch schon mal Pizza bestellt, da muss ich ebenfalls sagen, dass es in der Umgebung bessere gibt. Da aber das Local super schön gestaltet ist und auch der Service hier top ist gibt es trotzdem 4 Sterne, hier kann man entspannt Zeit verbringen.
