There is a choice between veal and turkey. The selection of sauces is also very large: herbs, garlic, cocktail, hot and I think 1-2 more. The onions are seasoned with something lemony, which I personally found delicious. Just keep in mind that card payments are not possible. Hence the star deduction.
Visited the Genießer Ecke for the first time today.
We were welcomed by a beautiful snack bar, a very friendly gentleman behind the counter and a very tasty smell of grilled meat.
Price-performance:
The prices for the kebabs are justified for the amount you get in the end.
However, it's just the quantity. Quality is a different issue.
For the kebab:
The sauces are extremely tasty and improve the meal many times over.
However, the flatbreads were cut too deeply so that everything fell out when eaten. Half of my kebab spread all over the aluminum foil within a minute.
The red cabbage was extremely sour and didn't have a pleasant effect on the last part of the meal.
Fortunately, the cheese in the kebab is not an inconspicuous component on the side. This one has a great taste of its own.
My biggest and most serious criticism is with the meat. The meat, which originally sizzled and smelled delicious, was not freshly cut from the spit, but kept warm in a catering container.
This means that so much flavor and potential is lost...
Finally:
My expectations were high for this kebab as it is said to be the best in Bayreuth. Unfortunately I was very disappointed...
There is definitely potential for improvement.
I'll avoid this kebab for now...
The bottom sticks, the Peking soup is a completely seasoned stir stick chatastrophe, for €4, I threw it away. In addition to a lot of fat, the fried noodles also contain three pieces of chicken. NEVER ever again.
Unfortunately, Italian radio is playing in the restaurant all the time. This made it really loud in the entire restaurant. Food was okay, there was a lot of garlic on every meal and the waitress always acted like she was annoyed.
- One of the best restaurants in Upper Franconia -
The food was really great: the crostini were varied and delicious (highlight: the crostini with red onions, cheese and pear) and the tagliata with garlic was incredibly tender.
All in all, a heartfelt recommendation for a visit to Bayreuth - we'll be back!
The pasta bowl with pesto dressing was to die for! Fresh, great ingredients and totally delicious. The food was delivered within 15 minutes. A clear recommendation and I will order again.
Once again a very successful evening!!!
Atmosphere absolutely unique, but super nice and cozy.
Delicious course menu with a wide variety of dishes, all dishes perfectly prepared!
Always happy, every stay is different from the next.
We have been coming to China-Haus regularly for at least 20 years now and the quality of the food and service at this family-run restaurant have always been excellent.
The other guests are always very friendly and cultured.
A very pleasant atmosphere!
If you are looking for a cozy "Italian corner" with delicious food - then you are 100% here. I was lucky enough to enjoy baked lamb fillet - it is simply an incredible delicacy, which was completed by a glass of beautiful red wine. The service is high-quality, fast, courteous.
I want more!
