Greek Restaurant in Bayreuth

Gourmet restaurant with a nice ambience, a bit noisy when the restaurant is busy, but this also speaks for its popularity. Nice view of Bamberg. The food is exactly what you would expect for something special. Adequate (fortunately not too generous) portions. Friendly, but busy staff. The meals were served together at the correct time for our group of 12 people. Good selection of wines and other drinks. Conclusion: A good, beautifully located place to enjoy fine food in a lively atmosphere.

Good service and excellent food at a good price.

The portions are just right. You get more for your money than with other addresses. Perfect address to “roll out”. Always there with friends and we enjoy life. The staff is always friendly. The waiter is on his toes and memorizes the entire table.

The service was quick and very nice. Unfortunately it was a bit cold inside because the door was always open. Food was delicious, especially the potato chips. But I find 5.90 for a small bowl of tzatziki without anything to be very excessive. How are you supposed to eat this without bread as a starter? You can go there, but there are better Greeks.

We came here spontaneously in September 2024 because our regular Greek restaurant in Bayreuth was closed. The restaurant is a bit out of the way and not directly in the busy pedestrian zone, but the short detour was more than worth it. The clean exterior and interior have already set the bar high. The fantastic food combined with the attentive and friendly service made the evening more than successful. Very happy again.

The food was very good! However, the tzatziki that I specially ordered was tasteless. That's why the €6 for the bowl was way too expensive!

Unfriendly! Insufficient children's chairs the waiter takes all the cards? Outrageous. You don't want any more orders from us? Please it's better that way. The so-called lemonade tastes sickening. The food was mainly finished products, whether the salad (disgusting, not edible) or the tzatziki disgusting. Also small portions that really don't taste good. We'll never go back to being a disappointment for €65. It's nothing more. Disgusting Not worth a star...

The absolute best Greek restaurant within 50 miles of Bayreuth. The food is always good, the staff friendly, and the prices reasonable. Our go to Greek restaurant.

The portions are not that big, but enough. Gyros a bit dry. But crispy. There was definitely not enough calamari on the mixed plate for the decent price. Everything tasted good, although not above average. Service OK.

As soon as you enter, you are greeted by the pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant. We were served attentively - the food was a culinary delight. An all-round successful visit. We will be back definitely.

The food didn't taste good at all, some of it was raw and the staff was quite unfriendly, the glasses were also dirty and the drinks weren't cooled. When I pointed this out, I was told to look for another restaurant next time. Never again, the worst restaurant I've ever been to

Food was good but unfortunately too expensive. Even Greek restaurants in Nuremberg, Ingolstadt and Munich are cheaper.

I have known the restaurant since it opened, back when I was a teenager with my parents. I have also visited other Greeks in the city and district, and the best for me is this house. Portions are completely sufficient even for good eaters. I haven't had anything yet that I and my companion didn't like. In my opinion the price/performance ratio is very good. The food is also very authentic to what I know from 8 visits to Greece in the Peloponnese. I just liked the ambience a little better before, when you entered the guest rooms from the front. But as we all know, that is also a matter of taste. It used to be a bit more cozy and winding, today it's a bit brighter and more open. So far I have always received attentive and friendly service. So I can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience. For me there is only one way to beat that, but to do that I would have to factor in over 2000 km of travel to Greece.

Haven't been here for a long time. Still one of the best Greeks in Bayreuth.

Very good food on a beautiful plate. Excellent starters. Not much to chose from for vegetarians. Very friendly service. Location and atmosphere is nice. The restaurant is located in the house behind the former restaurant.

Bin sowas von begeistert und stolz diese Restaurant meinen Freunden aus Berlin zu präsentieren und auch sie waren begeistert.....danke ganz großes sogar ...selbst ich mit einigen Einschränkungen Allergie bedingt hatte das beste Erlebnis und wurde nachträglich sogar auf ein Gewürz aufmerksam gemacht das in der Speise ist wow das hatte ich noch nie !!!!! Echt mit reinem Gewissen nur zu empfehlen war mega legga und Service 1 mit Stern 🌟 Freu m7ch auf den nächsten Besuch bei Ihnen DANKE 🙏🙏

Sehr lecker guter Service, gern wieder

Das Restaurant 'Zum Griechen' hat uns mit seiner authentischen griechischen Küche beeindruckt. Die Speisen waren köstlich zubereitet, frisch und voller Geschmack. Die gemütliche Atmosphäre und der freundliche Service haben unseren Abend perfekt abgerundet. Ein absolutes Muss für Liebhaber der griechischen Küche!

Das Essen war Mega ,nur das Gewitter hat uns im Garten überrascht und wir mussten rein!

Essen naja, gerade so Durchschnitt. Nicht gerade günstig. Service unterbesetzt. Ziemlich laut wenn man innen sitzt.

Der beste Grieche Bayreuths! Das Essen superlecker, Ambiente 1a und wo findet man heute noch soooo freundliches und kompetentes Personal?? Diese 5 Sterne sind absolut verdient. Ein riesen Lob an Küche, Service und Management.

Schöner Innenhof, schneller aufmerksamer Seevice und super leckeres Essen

War jetzt mehrere Male dort , immer zu zweit und jedesmal wurden wir in eine Ecke zum essen verwiesen , weil angeblich alles reserviert war... war es aber nicht, wie sich herausgestellt hat, also angelogen worden... Für mich war es das dann , es gibt andere Griechen in Bayreuth auch noch...

Update Sommer 2023: Wir waren seit langem Mal wieder dort, Essen war super. Das Fleisch war butterweich und ideal angegrillt! Wir kommen öfters wieder! Essen ist geschmacklich gerade noch in Ordnung aber das Fleisch ist auch ehr trocken und zu verbrannt. Das Preis-Leistung Verhältnis ist schlecht. Wir kommen nicht mehr! Auch ein zufrieden stellen im Restaurant ändert nichts an der Qualität ;)

Ich war schon lange nicht mehr hier und war nicht enttäuscht. Das Giros war lecker, das Fleisch zart und ohne Anteile, die man nicht essen kann. Das Ambiente passt auch. Es war ein gemütlicher Abend. Nur die Bedienung war kurz etwas genervt. Ich komme wieder.

Sehr gut organisiertes Personal. Essen sehr gut! Personal ist zuvorkommend und fix. Bitte behaltet die Portionsgrößen und die Qualität der Speisen bei. Sehr lecker.

Nachdem wir 2 Tage lang mit viel Kultur Bayreuth platt getreten haben waren wir heute dem Regenwetter geschuldet in der Lohengrin-Therme ich habe anschließend ein gutes Lokal nahe dem Hotel gefunden. Wir sind in einem guten Restaurant mit offensichtlich überwiegend lokalen Stammgästen gelandet. Essen war gut, Preise angemessen und Ambiente fast wie beim Griechen zu Hause.
