Stopped there spontaneously and had a really good meal! The service was warm and courteous. It's something you'll remember fondly! The meal was tzatziki with flatbread as a starter, then salmon from the daily menu, and finally a galaktoboureko for dessert. All three perfect!

First-class food (drinks too, of course). Excellent, very friendly and attentive service. Great ambience. Can only be recommended. Food requests are happy to be fulfilled, the starters for several people are simply delicious.

I'm disappointed, the price-performance ratio is poor for Bayreuth, the food still tastes good, but it was better. And the dollop of tzatziki is pathetic, the ingredients here really aren't that expensive. As I said, everything has slowed down a bit for me here. There are now better Greek restaurants in the area with a more pleasant atmosphere.

Sehr schöne Außenplätze im Bayreuther Zentrum. Leckeres griechisches Essen in typischer Auswahl, dazu noch einen Ouzo aufs Haus. Samstagsmittag ein Aufsteller mit preisgünstigen Mittagsgerichten; beim Bestellen aber der Hinweis, das diese nur Mo - Fr verfügbar seien. Dann doch besser den Aufsteller wegräumen. Keine Kreditkartenzahlung möglich. Das finde ich heutzutage nicht mehr zeitgemäß.

There were four of us and it was purely by chance that we were at Plaka on a Wednesday evening. The service was very nice, with a somewhat dry sense of humor... I like that 👍 And now for food! 2 x gyros with Metaxa sauce and gratinated... We've never eaten gyros like that before, but it was a dream!!! Very very tasty 😋 😋 Bifteki filled with cheese, could have been a little spicier, at least for me...but still nothing to complain about! All in all there are 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 because the whole package was a great fit.

It's always nice to spend an evening here in Alexis and his family's restaurant: + tasty food (lots of choice, fresh daily specials) + delicious wines (Greek + international) + nice service People check on you regularly and ask you if you would like anything else & the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The price/performance ratio is appropriate.

Spontaneous visit without reservation Unfortunately, service was only present to take orders and pay. No questions asked to reorder drinks if necessary. The prices are also very high. (Perhaps because there are festivals in BT?) 3 spoons of tzatziki for 5€ Payment ONLY with EC card (you hardly have it in your wallet, if at all)

The female employees who take the orders shout loudly in front of the customers, they also constantly change the staff, the food was cold, we did not like it at all, we regretted coming, the service is zero.

A wonderful restaurant. I had the grilled calamari and it was delicious. The service was prompt and friendly.The atmosphere was superb. I enjoyed sitting outside on a pleasant summer evening, enjoying the excellent meal.

Maden i restauranten er middelmådig. Ikke hjemmelavet tzatziki og meget tørt kød. Mærkeligt at man får baguettes og ikke pita til maden. Der modtages ikke udenlandske kreditkort. Det vil være rart at vide INDEN man bestilte maden. Min mand måtte gå en ti minutters gåtur for at hæve kontanter. Desuden ubehøvlet opførsel. Vi fik åbenbart en forkert regning ( for lav selvfølgelig ), og efter at have betalt, forlod vi selvfølgelig restauranten. Langt oppe ad gaden blev vi anråbt, og tjeneren kom løbende og råbende. Vi skulle betale 9 euro mere. Alt i alt en elendig oplevelse n

Wir sind ganz rein zufällig eines Abends im Plaka Restaurant gelandet, da wir Hunger auf griechisches Essen hatten. Das war ein absoluter Glücksgriff: selten in einem so guten griechischen Lokal gegessen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich - die (vermutlich) Chefin war zudem sehr zuvorkommend. Wir hatten die Vorspeise von der Tageskarte: Gegrillte Zucchini mit Schafskäse - ein absoluter Traum. Danach Bifteki mit Käsefüllung und den Plakateller - zusätzlich noch Pommes Frittes und Metaxasauce. Wir sind scheinbar keine so großen Portionen gewöhnt - die echt große Portion Pommes war eigentlich überflüssig und zu viel. Zwischendurch wurde Ouzo aufs Haus gereicht, für den, wer wollte. Alles in allem hatten wir einen tollen und leckeren Abend.

1. Reservation was made online IN THE restaurant. A man, probably the boss, very rudely said without explanation that we should sit outside with a 1.5 year old child in 32°C. The waitress gave a strange explanation - if someone sits in there, then they forget. Normally in such cases we walk away. But this time we decided to see how far the situation develops. 2. The table was wobbly, attempts were made to repair it without success -> change the table. 3. The service was disastrous. Some used tense, although I always used “you”. 4. The food was tasty. But you don't go to a restaurant just to eat. This is something complex that you won't find in this restaurant. I would definitely not recommend.

Very good food. In contrast to other Greeks in Bayreuth, the quality and presentation of the dishes are also higher. Sitting outside in the warmth on a summer evening is of course wonderful. Some waitresses are very friendly, some not particularly. This time we didn't get a salad with the main courses. The ouzo was also missing. But I think that's actually part of being Greek. We had to wait a long time and keep asking for the very high bill. When it came to tips, people didn't really say thank you, they just took it for granted. We found the total price to be far too expensive for the entire meal including the starter.

We ate at Plaka again today. The food, as always, tasted simply great. The waitresses are super nice. Would be happy to come back at any time and would be happy to recommend it to others at any time. 👍😀

The most important thing is that the food is really very good and can only be recommended. The service staff is very polite and professional most of the time. The ambience is good for my taste but nothing extraordinary that you have to see, which is why I'm definitely going down the star. Another reason for the deducted star is the prices. The Bayreuth poster is a restaurant where you definitely leave some money when you go out to eat and so the three of us used around 80 - 100 euros during our visits. Otherwise, I can only recommend it to anyone who might want to have a nice evening as a couple. Therefore a good 4 out of 5 star rating from me

A wonderful Greek restaurant in the heart of Bayreuth, where you feel very well looked after and don't get the classic Germanized Greek plates! As a vegetarian, I knew from the start that it would definitely come down to Saganaki again. But it was really delicious! I also ordered rice and was completely full and happy afterwards. Nevertheless, perhaps they could offer a few more vegetarian dishes. The desserts were incredibly delicious and the service was top notch! It really doesn't get any better for me. The prices are high, but justified in my opinion. My friends ended up with e.g. B. not the usual calamari rings on the plates but apparently really delicious baby calamari. I wish this great team all the best! Thank you for a fantastic evening!

The food is good. The ambience too. Unfortunately, we were charged for two almost full dishes, even though we had specifically asked for a two-plate portion. Then the restaurateur strikes. Very unfortunate.

Modern Greek restaurant. Portions are really filling. We had a starter plate and two main courses. Everything was fresh and delicious. Great attentive service. Boss also on site. Kind and courteous. Gladly again. Prices could be about 10-15% less, in our opinion.

Been there for the first time, very nice atmosphere, very friendly service. The prices of the dishes were slightly higher, but the quality was good and fresh. Lunch menu is offered. But now the negative, unfortunately the dishes were a bit too salty (tomato rice) and in terms of taste, we had hoped for more, based on all the reviews. Zum 2. Mal sehr unhöflich erlebt. Beim ersten Mal Chef gegenüber Mitarbeiter. Diesmal gleich bei der Begrüßung uns gegenüber. Und das war dann ein für alle Mal das Letzte Mal!

Die Auswahl von Menü ist nicht sehr groß, z.b. als ein großes Restaurant habe ich mehr Lammfleisch wie lammhaxe erwartet. Die Location ist mittel in Zentrum, deswegen keine Parkmöglichkeiten. Wenn man mit Karte zahlen möchte, NUR deutsche EC-Karte wird akzeptiert. Das Service war sehr nett. Essen war ganz gut. Ein bisschen griechische Musik wäre schöner für die Ambiente.

Wie immer hat sich das Essen hier gelohnt. Wunderbares Essen und exzellenter Service in einer familiären Atmosphäre. Das Essen war eine Gaumenfreude.

Perfekter Service, super Essen. Alles authentisch. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr aufmerksam. Nicht der übliche Griechen von nebenan, sondern ein Ausflug nach Griechenland selbst. Gegrillte Kalamari sowie das überbacken Gyros ist ein Gedicht. Hatten einen super Abend und kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder.

Wir waren vor ein paar Tagen im Plaka essen. Wir hatten einen traumhaften Abend mit sehr herzlichen Service, phantastischen Essen und einer tolle Qualität. Das Gyros war hervorragend knusprig und der Fisch butterzart. Absolute Empfehlung!

Sehr gutes Essen. Griechische Küche, gehoben angerichtet. Auswahl Standard . Service ist aufmerksam und gut organisiert. Essen kommt sehr schnell. Die Innenräume sind ganz toll renoviert.

Das Essen ist gut. Preise angemessen. Der Service sehr freundlich und unglaublich schnell. Es fehlt der gemütliche Faktor. Hier ist sehr viel los und es ist dadurch gerade im vorderen Bereich zeitweise etwas hektisch. Man sollte besser reservieren. Wir waren Samstag Abend kurz nach 18 Uhr spontan eingekehrt, und haben gerade noch so einen Platz bekommen.

Es war alles sehr gut, nur im Vergleich zu anderen griechischen Restaurants , es war kein Salat als Vorspeise.

Definitiv der beste Grieche weit und breit. Keine absurd überladenen Teller, nachhaltig, statt verschwenderisch ( zb muss ein Krautsalat extra bestellt werden). Unbedingt und immer wieder gerne.

The food is great, portions are ok and lean on the healthy side of cooking style, which is a refreshing alternative to many Greek restaurants. Sitting outside in the old town is also a plus. Die Preise sind etwas hoch und die Getränke ziemlich klein. Das Essen dafür frisch und mit Liebe angerichtet. Der Service ausgezeichnet und die Lage mitten in der Stadt wirklich super.

Essen war absolut Top! Lecker und schnell fertig. Gyros Calamari 19,80€ noch ok, dafür wars auch sehr gut. Service fand ich nicht sehr angenehm, wir waren wohl nicht so wichtig wie die Gäste am Nebentisch die sehr aufmerksam bedient wurden. Auch gab es weder ein Danke noch einen Ouzo für unser Trinkgeld das bei knapp 10% lag... Schade. Ambiente, Seitenstraße von der Fußgängerzone mit wackeligen Tisch ..... naja ok. Die ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ sind allein für den Koch der so tolles Essen kocht! Danke🍀

Cocina mediterránea, bien elaborada. En el menú apetecían muchos platos. La camarera que nos atendió, super amable, simpática, ágil y atenta: ese trato familiar y educado nos llamó la atención sobre otros estáblecimientos de Bayreuth. Nsotros no hablamos alemán y encontrar una persona q se esfuerza en comprenderte, es siempre una gran alegría.

Einwandfrei! Ohne Reservierung einen schönen Platz bekommen, von vielen freundlcihen Kellner umgarnt und unsere beiden Speisen Gyros mit Kalamari und Kalamari gegrillt waren außrordentlich gut. Feines Gyros, perfekt gewürzt, zarte Kalamari, auf den Punkt getroffen, schmackhafte Beilagen. Schön und gemütlich ist es hier, Service und Preis passen prima, sicher kommen wir wieder!
