A great location with good staff, your choice of brewery is debatable 😜. But there's one thing that doesn't work at all, and that's the toilets. I understand that you want to stay in style. However, hygiene is simply a point that should not be discussed.
We reserved a table by phone. But unfortunately that has been forgotten. We sat outside on the foil-covered terrace. This is also used as a storage room for various things and is therefore not inviting. Unfortunately, you are out of the sight of the service and you are sometimes forgotten.
Unfortunately, the taste of Tris di Pasta was not convincing (hardly any spices). The pizza was good but also quite expensive.
For dessert we had panna cotta and ice cream. Both were just average.
There are better Italian restaurants in Augsburg.
I have no idea about the food because the guy on the phone who waited another hour said he didn't care and canceled the order.
I've been getting the message for 20 minutes that it should be there.
Impudence cannot be surpassed.
Never there again.
If I gave 0 stars it would be 0 stars
Brilliant pizza 🍕 very nice boss - was even shown how he makes the pizza base - unfortunately we were just passing through 😕 would like to eat there more often - all the best
That was probably nothing!
I was there for dinner with my wife. Each of us ordered a pizza, each with a different topping.
My wife's pizza was served first and they said mine would come straight away.
However, it took about 10 minutes for my pizza to finally arrive - of course half was correctly topped, but the other half was incorrect.
I couldn't say anything to the service person because she immediately disappeared again.
Then I probably spoke to the shift manager, restaurant manager or manager – whatever.
Since the second faux pas had already happened, I was of course not very enthusiastic.
I was offered to bring the correct half of the pizza straight away and deliver the other half later. No sooner said than done. That worked too.
When the second half of the pizza was served, the waitress apologized: Instead of “Prosciutto e Funghi” she heard “Prosciutto crudo”.
Everything was fine, but my wife had already finished eating at this point.
When I was finally finished, I ordered the bill.
I was offered nothing but accommodation or an apology on the house...
And now comes the biggie:
When paying, I specifically requested a paper invoice.
This was then used to charge for the more expensive pizza that I didn't order!
When I asked, it was explained to me that the boss had decided that way...
I just call that cheeky!
Since I have been working in the catering industry for 40 years, I perhaps see such situations with different eyes -
but it was definitely not customer-oriented!
We were there spontaneously with 4 adults and 4 children.
The menu online is significantly more extensive than in the restaurant.
There is no longer a children's menu. When painting supplies were brought, the former children's menu was there. A bit unfortunate.
Not recommended for families.
Personally, I found the food too expensive for the performance.
This was my third time at Rheingold in Augsburg this year and it remains my favorite stop when traveling from Dortmund to Augsburg or Munich. The service is always outstanding, the staff is very friendly, attentive and makes you immediately feel at home and want to come back again and again.
The ambience is cozy and inviting, perfect for a pleasant break. I particularly appreciate the fair prices, which are simply convincing in combination with the high quality of the food and drinks. I can only warmly recommend the Rheingold and am already looking forward to my next visit!
