Bobs Haunstetten in Augsburg

The food was pretty good but the staff were pretty rude. When my son (12 years old) asked a question about one of the food choices, the waiter was very impatient and treated him like he was stupid. Food was good, but I wouldn't want to go again, nor is it child friendly.

The burgers, third bars, and salad were good. Afterwards, a cozy game of pool. Pub atmosphere like in the good old days...

The food and drinks were great. Everything was delivered quickly and was very tasty. The prices aren't cheap, but they're tasty. The pool tables are also great. The staff is friendly and efficient. And, of course, the atmosphere is fantastic.

Our wedding here at BOBs was AMAZING! 🤩 We didn't lack anything, all our requests were met, and the guests had SO much fun! Billiards, darts, and foosball were booked the whole time, and yet the dance floor was always busy! The food (salad and burger buffet; pizza as a late-night snack) was super delicious and everyone loved it. 🍔🍕 The combination offered at the Stadl made the wedding unique. And all at an incredibly fair price! 🥳🤩 Setup and takedown, as well as the coordination beforehand, were easy and straightforward 😁 Susi, Julia, Nina, Micha, and Apple did a fantastic job! 😊 We'd love to do it again on another occasion! ☺️

Very friendly staff. Amazing food. George Clooney pulled pork burger, spaetzle, salad 🥗, no matter what you eat, everything tastes amazing. The outdoor area is nice and cozy. The interior is as well. Nice ambiance. A place where you feel at home. I'd be happy to go there again.

If the service tries to compensate for the poor quality of the food, then I don't need to go here anymore. Hats off to the staff, who, at the run and with sweat on their brows, tried to absorb the complaints and still keep the guests happy. For me, BoBs has consistently been number 1 over the past few years for delicious, convivial food and larger groups. Apparently, they've recently started focusing on expensive, cheap food - not junk - I mean really cheap. Declaring 0.5 cm thick patties that are barely chewable in shrink-wrapped buns on burger day and the sweet potato offcuts as fries is completely unacceptable. I also feel sorry for the chef, who apparently has to serve the restaurant and delivery alone and doesn't get a minute's respite. In short, the idea of ​​​​going out for a quick bite to eat and having a nice evening was probably not the way to go today, and I hope they change course.

You can always go. FCA football games are also broadcast. Pizza or elephant ear always work.

A really cool location! Incredibly delicious burgers and pizza from the wood-fired oven 😋We celebrated my birthday yesterday and absolutely loved it. The food is truly delicious, the service is super friendly and attentive...the kids also had a blast playing foosball and darts...There's a huge party room at the back with a dance floor, stage, and another bar (suitable for large events). The area was also accessible and well-lit, so my little one danced to cool rock music and didn't want to stop 😃😍We're already looking forward to the next birthdays we'll celebrate there. Many thanks to the team 🫶

Really bad and slow service. I waited 40 minutes for my food to arrive, and my colleague has been waiting an hour for a side of fries. If you don't have enough time, DON'T COME!

Point 1: too expensive for what you get. Portions have become much smaller! Point 2: Why should you specify a special reason if there is no response? Point 3: The service was nice and friendly, but the attention left a lot to be desired.

First of all, you can eat really tasty food there, the portions are also very generous and sometimes huge. You definitely won't go hungry here! The cocktails are also very tasty and really good. I also think the prices are fair. The beer garden is large and beautiful, but unfortunately there are not always seat cushions available. The ambience in the interior seems a bit run down, but that doesn't bother me because it also has a bit of charm. Lots of different chairs and tables, unfortunately some of them are a bit wobbly and uncomfortable, especially if you want to sit for a longer period of time. Unfortunately, cleanliness is not always a priority here; cobwebs on the lamps and the toilets have seen better days. Although it used to be worse, people didn't want to sit near the toilet. The towel paper is often empty and it is changed upon request, but this takes a while. The staff, however, is really very friendly, funny (you always have something to laugh about) and also accommodating when you get a waitress to the table, as there is often a lack of staff there. There is a parking lot and also street parking. Unfortunately and reluctantly only 3 stars, but I hope it changes for the better at some point. Nevertheless, we like to go there every now and then because of the good food, or to get a pizza to take away!

A great location with good staff, your choice of brewery is debatable 😜. But there's one thing that doesn't work at all, and that's the toilets. I understand that you want to stay in style. However, hygiene is simply a point that should not be discussed.

Personally, I like Bob's. The food is good - a bit too greasy for my taste, but it was fine for my friends - and the service is also great. I don't think the prices are as bad as shown in the other reviews. I would say it's relatively inexpensive compared to other places (at least the pizzas). The only thing I like less is the ambience. I find it rather uncomfortable but I know many people who like Bob's precisely because of this ambience.

I had dinner at BOB'S with my friend on Friday and was extremely disappointed. My burger was ice cold (literally) and when it came to paying, I had to pay 93.70 euros for a burger, a pizza, three Africola and a small spritzer. Only after repeated inquiries was the sum corrected to 39.70 euros without an apology. I don't know if it was just a mistake, but with such a small order such a serious mistake shouldn't happen. BOBS gets no recommendation from me

For a burger restaurant I was a bit disappointed. The burger wasn't the biggest, with barbecue sauce and a lot of bacon advertised on the menu... it was served completely without bacon with a dash of barbecue sauce... a dry thing with fries for just under 19 euros is a joke... my son gave me a cheeseburger with a 1 euro large piece of cheese on the burger... plus the whole thing was complained about... the first waitress wasn't interested and the second couldn't speak any German... in the end the boss came because. That's really embarrassing... never again for me!

Typical BOB'S atmosphere, good food and drinks. Only this time without billiards, darts which was really annoying. We had made a reservation and unfortunately we were not informed that billiards and darts were not possible that evening because there was a big birthday taking place. An honest statement would have been better here... but they didn't want fewer guests to come (statement from an employee). What a shame!

The waitresses were always nice and the concept itself was still cool, but unfortunately after it became more and more of a chain, the meat patties became thinner and poorer in quality, which many online and friends also said, the price was extremely high, Burgertag special price has reached the normal burger price from 3 years ago and there are no more side dishes - the argument here was because some people wouldn't eat it. Then you don't just ask for an extra €4 for a side dish that would otherwise have been free for the already much more expensive burger or ask if you would like a side dish? It really has become incredibly expensive. The french fries that came with every burger free of charge with a large sour cream dip are also gone. This is really sad for such a large company. I ask for an improvement here! Unfortunately, I and many others I know don't want to come anymore, even though we were weekly regulars since it opened until 2 years ago! And inflation, etc. has long since declined and has actually been better for a few weeks than before inflation. But even inflation doesn't justify such horrendous burger prices and an extra €4 side dish for fries. Now that's a total of almost 100% increase in the current burger price + extra side dish. I also agree with another long review that the portions have become so smaller. Where there was previously a whole plate full of free side dishes, you now get a few fries. The actual great look is no longer just a look, but really very ragged at times, as shown by wobbling chairs etc. and the menus are sometimes very worn and some things are sticky. It's such a shame, the atmosphere seems like "everything is cool and relaxed" but the facts are worse, smaller, more expensive when it comes to the food and that for a company of your size. Small restaurants can do it differently. If there is an improvement, I will of course change this rating. Portion sizes pictures and menu pictures from 4.5 years ago and from today I will insert the coming days that I have made over time so that everyone can decide for themselves and can also see transparently. I'm really asking for intensive improvement here, I mean I hope you understand that several people will notice the whole thing, as you can already read from the reviews. Now it's up to you whether you want to maintain the reputation and value the feedback and make changes accordingly or don't value it! In response, you will show in the future what value you place on it and which restaurant you want to be! I very much hope that this is taken as constructive criticism, as it is intended, and that it is discussed intensively internally. That's why I took the trouble to write the whole thing here for a long time, because I really miss the former Bob's.

Price performance is okay so far. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The facility leaves many wishes unfulfilled. Something else could be done.

After a few years I was back at Bobs in Haunstetten. I still like the ambience, but it's very much a matter of taste. The service was quick and nice. Unfortunately, “shrinkflation” has also reached Bobs. The “giant” elephant ear schnitzel is now medium-sized at best.

Interior concept ok, although a bit daring with the obtrusive grandma wallpaper. It was a bit messed up, my wooden chair was broken on the backrest. Pizza is solid, but the frozen spinach on it doesn't taste like anything; you could pimp it with salt and garlic. Good coffee.

I can only agree with some of the comments here. Bob's used to be really good with large portions and good prices. Over the years, portions have shrunk and prices have risen. Calling the elephant ear a giant schnitzel is laughable, as it is now smaller than normal schnitzels in other establishments. There used to be chips with the burger, but now there are only side dishes for an additional charge. Otherwise the burgers are no longer big. We really enjoyed going to Bob's often, even with friends, but not anymore. Really a shame.

I've known Bob's for several years and think it has lost its identity. For me, Bobs just stands for “shrinkflation”. I realize that the prices will increase over time, but the portions have become so smaller that I'm really disappointed. The atmosphere and the staff are all about “punk rock” and “pub”. However, the portions and prices do not correspond at all. The taste of the food is okay. In a pub, the dishes should be of a certain size and, above all, fill you up. Here at Bobs you can spend a lot of money and then go home half full. That wouldn't bother me in a home-style restaurant, but there's supposed to be an artificial pub atmosphere here. You used to get a really big schnitzel that lived up to the name “elephant ear.” Now it's a completely normal Viennese style schnitzel. Yes, the pizza is bigger than the plate, but just because I put an object on a plate that's too small doesn't mean it's automatically big. The side salad is by far the smallest I have ordered anywhere so far. The fries aren't even included with the burger. The burger was smaller than my hand (the photo shows the large extra portion of fries - not the 6 side fries). The food came very quickly. I wonder whether all of this can be prepared fresh in this time. What also bothers me a lot are the clear signs of wear everywhere. This no longer has anything to do with the “used look”. You can tell that someone has had the card in their hand 1,000 times - please print out new sheets. The tables are sticky, the chairs wobble, etc. The service is okay, as is the food (in terms of taste), but nothing special. They're doing their job - over. If you end up paying by card, you get this "annoying" card device that more or less forces you to give a large tip. I don't think it's exactly a successful end to an evening there either. If there is something more going on, the parking space is not enough. In addition, the parking lot is tight. Either Bob's should change its image to a "normal" restaurant with "normal" portions (and also adjust the names of the dishes) or continue to look like a "rocking cult pub" like it used to, but then please adjust the portion size and prices accordingly. I realize that my rating won't change anything and that people will make fun of it at management level, but I'm really disappointed. I was here at the weekend and last time was 8 weeks ago - even during this period the portions have become smaller again. It's slowly becoming less worth visiting.

Very disappointed with Bob's! I forgot my scarf there after a Christmas party and told them straight away. Since I work shifts, I couldn't pick it up until after a month. There was a half-hearted search on site and I was told the scarf was gone - no apology, no responsibility. Customer service looks different! I'm definitely not coming back

I found the food very tasty and it arrived at the table very quickly after ordering. What is a no-go is drinking liquor that smells and tastes like dishwashing liquid. Personally, I was here for the last time because there was a lack of hygiene in the toilet and there were cobwebs on the walls and ceiling in the restaurant. I don't recommend it unless you're a ravenous person and it doesn't matter what it looks like here

We celebrated our wedding in the back barn. The day was simply a success. Everything worked out right from the start. The team at Bobs exceeded our expectations. Planning in advance was also absolutely uncomplicated and our wishes were taken into account. I can only recommend it ❤️

We chose a Bavarian buffet for our wedding, which all of our guests and we ourselves were absolutely thrilled with. It was super tasty, as it generally is at Bobs. The team that looked after and served us that day did a great job and the day went smoothly without any problems. As every bride and groom would hope, we had a wonderful day thanks to the Bobs team and we will definitely never forget this day. We can wholeheartedly recommend Bob's Haunstetten.

Everything is sticky, tables are from some kind of fleemarket not fitting together at all, toilet is disgusting. Ordered a chicken pizza and had diarea for an entire day afterwards becaus the chicken was raw. had to go there 3 times because this place is super overrated and people seem to enjoy sitting on damaged fleemarket interior. each time the food was terrible, burned. never again.

Burger patty tasted and looked like a frozen ready-made patty. You could eat, but just 0815, not as described on the menu (not off the shelf). Fries also tasted like run-of-the-mill supermarket fries. Prices overall too expensive.

We've been coming here since it opened. First of all, speaks for the place. The pizzas are absolutely top, the burgers unfortunately not like they used to be, but still good average. The cocktails are ok (used to be really good - the top hat bartender is missing). All in all, a chilled out location with a great beer garden, and the food is above average. Price-performance ok

We were in the restaurant around 6 p.m., friendly greeting and free choice of seats. Great service, first day! Ordered a spritz and a cocktail, the Mua Tai was strong and good but not enough for €12! Overall, the cocktails used to be bigger and a much better selection! For dinner we decided on cheese sparrows and a royal with chili cheese fries. The burger was good but a mini patty, little sauce, the fries a handful with a spoonful of sauce and that for €4.90 doesn't fit! 2 meals and 3 drinks for 61€, that's too expensive for what you get! It's a shame ☹️

I'm a big fan of BOB's. Good food nice staff. I just don't like the atmosphere that much. The old school chairs / old chairs are quite uncomfortable. I know you want to keep the feel of BOBs, but other chairs would be cool. 💀💀

We ate at Bob's for the first time today because of the many positive reviews and were unfortunately very disappointed. A vegan falafel burger with a side salad, a royal burger with coleslaw and sweet potato fries were ordered. Unfortunately the food arrived very late (there were two of us!). Royal Burger with burnt bacon, dry, cheese barely visible. The vegan burger could only be taken apart and eaten with cutlery because of the falafel balls. It was extremely dry and had nothing on it other than a lettuce leaf and an onion. The side salad was definitely not fresh (all the leaves were brown and dried) and was drowning in the dressing. Anything but healthy for me as a heavily pregnant woman. The prices are absolutely outrageous and almost a disgrace for what you get. The plus points are the very friendly service. She accepted our criticism favorably and we got an espresso on the house. The selection of vegan/vegetarian dishes can be expanded.

Good music, delicious food. The burgers were great, we didn't dare try the spicy ones. The only request is to check the toilet more often to see if the soap and towels are refilled. Unfortunately, it was always yawningly empty, despite the request for refills.

We came very hungry and without a reservation. We were offered a table by 7:30 p.m. at the latest. It was for and no problem. Have eaten there 2-3 times. On Thursdays there is a promotion where you determine the price of your schnitzel based on a lottery draw. A friend actually got it for free. The schnitzel is okay. I think the regular price is a bit too high, but due to the lottery history, the most expensive price is 16.50.

The atmosphere is simply cozy and great, the staff is really friendly and accommodating and that's why this is our regular restaurant. We'll be happy to come back, thank you very much, keep it up.

Typical pub with a wide range of food (freshly prepared pizza, burgers, fries, etc.). Good selection of beer and other drinks. Staff is nice and helpful. Perfect for a cozy evening with friends, a nightcap or a get-together after the last football game.
