The food here is absolutely amazing. If you see a young white hair kid named Thomas serving ask for him. Best service I have ever seen.

This is the second time we have held our company dinner in this great restaurant and I hope there will be many more to come. It's very nice that no credit cards are accepted. Only cash is truth. Bravo

When I went into the restaurant, the waitress always looked at me rudely, without asking any questions, just looked rude, until I first asked if it was free. I sat down at a table, then the waitress walked up to me and stopped briefly on the way and showed no desire to serve me, of course I didn't accept such behavior and ordered nothing and left. This is my worst experience at the Asian restaurant, I'll ask if she's too German too, if I'll be treated like that with an Asian face? As an Asian person, I find it very uncomfortable at such Asian restaurants

The Hirschen in Holzen is one of the few restaurants that we still knew from before. The staff is very friendly, the food is incredibly delicious and the atmosphere is harmonious/cozy. In addition to the very clean and hygienic dining room, it should also be mentioned that the team is very on the ball and you don't have to wait long for your food or the glasses don't sit empty forever. We always start our journey from Basel to Holzen with great anticipation. Out of 100 points I give 150 👌!

It has been a very well-run business for years with down-to-earth food. Specialty: grilled suckling pig on Fridays and Saturdays

Ordered two kebab pizzas to take away. The dough was cooked through, but it tasted like it wasn't completely done. Relatively little kebab meat on the pizza. The extra sauce makes the whole thing even fattier and heartier. After less than half of the pizza, I felt completely full. Overall, not really tasty. The price for this is also high at €20 for two pizzas in the condition mentioned. The impression of the location from the outside continues inside. The hygiene standard behind the counter does not invite you to return to this location.
