Hello, I always read good ice cream here, strangely in February 2025 the ice cream parlor will be closed. You have to have breakfast in the neighboring hotel. The hotel is very old for the prices, I think the prices are too high. There is no elevator, so you are allowed to drag your luggage. You get the key via a key box. There are only public programs on TV, everything else is encrypted. At night the radiators rustle very loudly, if you want to sleep you can set them to max. level 1. The WiFi is very good, the showers also have warm and hot water. The hotel does not have its own parking spaces, you are only allowed to stand in the public parking spaces for one hour from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., a little further away there are also parking spaces where you can stand for 2 hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

I don't understand all the good reviews! It is very unhygienic! The sushi looked like it had been in the display case for 2 days. Nobody ate sushi during my visit. Drinks extremely expensive! In terms of taste, the buffet was not a highlight. For just under 30 euros you can expect fresh and good quality. That is not offered here. We were very disappointed. We won't be coming back.

The food was good, home-style and delicious, but unfortunately we had to wait over an hour, which was really a long time. A brief message saying that it would take longer would have been nice. This was particularly difficult for our child.

Freundliches Personal. Günstige und gute Mittagsmenüs. Es gibt zuerst einen Salat mit Brot. Gyros mit Pilzen und Kartoffelscheiben war sehr lecker.

Rooms are large and clean. Price is not high. Good alternative in case you are looking for an economic hotel near Basel.
