Midpoint Bar & Restaurant in Grenzach-Wyhlen

A typical, cozy restaurant with a rustic pub atmosphere. People enjoy coming to Gaby's until the end of October, but then she'll unfortunately be retiring and enjoying her well-earned retirement. I think it's become a bit of an institution in town. Let's hope the successor is just as successful.

I stayed here from September 20 to 21 and paid €140 for a room. Sleeping was impossible: the hotel’s chef hosted a private party with a DJ on the ground floor. The bass was so loud that rest in my first-floor room was out of the question. I went downstairs twice to ask for the volume to be lowered. Each time, the music was briefly turned down only to be cranked back up within minutes. This shows complete disregard for paying guests. The most basic duty of any hotel is to provide a quiet environment. Here, that obligation was completely ignored. Would not recommend.

The ambiance is great. It's very clean. There's a dedicated smoking area outside. The service was very friendly and well-organized. The food, prawn crackers, bami goreng, and duck, was excellent. I would come here every day ;) Highly recommended! Hence 5/5 stars.

Amazing food and service. Everyone is nice and friendly. Boss lady always smiles and warm welcome. Trying to serve anything you need it. Must come to eat every time I travel in Basel, started fro 2017 to now. High recommend whatever you are Chinese & Asian & Europe ppl .
