Wir waren mit einer Hochzeitsgesellschaft hier gewesen und haben uns sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Auf wünsche und Bedürfnisse ist eingegangen worden, es gab immer kühle Getränke. Das Essen war sehr lecker! Das Buffet vielseitig. Für jeden ist was dabei. Die Desserts wundervoll präsentiert und lecker. Eis kann man auch bekommen und süßigkeiten. Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Hier komme ich privat auch gerne wieder vorbei! Das Restaurant selbst hat einen Aufzug! Und Treppen und befindet sich im 1 OG Es ist sehr sauber und schön. Die Toiletten sind ebenso sehr gepflegt. Es lohnt sich vorbei zu kommen!

Wir hatte ein Gericht von der Karte und einmal Buffett. Ja der Preis hört sich erstmal hoch an, ist aber absolut gerechtfertigt. Eine riesige Auswahl, alles ist heiß und frisch zubereitet und schmeckt auch toll. Gerne wieder

Sehr authentisches chinesisches Essen

Das Buffet war köstlich und abwechslungsreich und bot viele Speisen, die in Deutschland und der Schweiz eher ungewöhnlich sind, sowie frisches Gemüse vom Inhaber. Köche, Personal und Inhaber waren alle sehr freundlich. Dank der Lage direkt an der deutsch-schweizerischen Grenze waren Parken und Anbindung an den öffentlichen Nahverkehr optimal, und das Restaurant hatte ein angenehmes Ambiente. Ich komme immer wieder gerne hierher, wenn ich in der Gegend um Basel bin.

Authentische chinesische Küche.

Sehr sehr tolle Erfahrung. Essen war lecker, Personal war äußerst freundlich. Sollte ich mal wieder in der gegen sein, werde ich dieses Restaurant gerne wieder besuchen.

Ich hatte keine großen Erwartungen an dieses chinesische Buffet in einer kleinen deutschen Stadt in der Nähe von Basel; ich bin einfach aufgrund der Google-Bewertungen hingegangen. Aber es war wirklich ein fantastisches Erlebnis! Das Essen war authentisch chinesisch und die Auswahl unglaublich: gedämpfter Fisch, scharf-saure Hühnerfüße, geschmorte Schweinshaxe, süß-saures Schweinefleisch, kalter Schweineohrensalat und scharfe Flusskrebse! Es war absolut köstlich!

Aufgrund der Antwort gerne eine angepasste Bewertung: Ich sehe den Inhaber fast jeden Montag massenhaft Lebensmittel im Lidl kaufen und nur das billigste und Haltungsstufe 1. Ich habe absolut nichts gegen den Lidl, ich selbst kaufe dort auch ein. Ich war auch schon dort essen und ich finde es nicht sauber, vor allem das Buffet,dies zum Feedback ihrerseits

Ein tolles Restaurant mit einem sehr leckeren Buffet! Die Auswahl ist super und alles schmeckt sehr authentisch und frisch. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das gemütliche Ambiente – die Einrichtung ist sehr familiär und man fühlt sich sofort willkommen, fast wie zu Hause. Der Besitzer ist zudem äusserst freundlich und aufmerksam. Ein richtiger Geheimtipp für alle, die gutes chinesisches Essen in entspannter Atmosphäre geniessen wollen. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Eckelhsftes Essen! Die Lychees waren vergährt und das Fleisch von minderer Qualität. Die Kellnerin hat die 20€ fürs Mittagbuffet genommen undnivht mal gefragt ob wir Rückgeld wollen.

Ich gehe seit 2016 jedes Jahr hierher und kann es jedem wärmstens empfehlen. Bestes chinesisches Essen und tolles Ambiente.

Große Auswahl, freundliche Bedienung

Wir waren zum Essen im China Restaurant Palast eingeladen. Bereits beim Betreten des Restaurants wurden wir freundlich und herzlich empfangen, was zunächst einen positiven ersten Eindruck hinterlassen hat. Leider ließ der Service im weiteren Verlauf etwas zu wünschen übrig. Obwohl wir mehrfach darauf hingewiesen haben, dass wir einen Tisch reserviert hatten und noch weitere Personen zu unserer Gruppe dazukommen würden, wurden wir zunächst an einen Vierertisch gesetzt. Es machte den Eindruck, als sei uns nicht richtig zugehört worden. Als die restlichen Gäste unserer Gruppe eintrafen, mussten wir den Tisch erneut wechseln, was unnötig war und den ansonsten guten Start etwas getrübt hat. Gerade bei einer bestehenden Reservierung sollte die Platzierung besser organisiert sein. Das Essen hingegen war durchweg gut. Das Buffet hatte eine angenehme, mittelgroße Auswahl an Speisen, die frisch wirkten und geschmacklich überzeugt haben. Die Gerichte waren gut gewürzt, regelmäßig nachgefüllt und insgesamt von solider Qualität. Hier gibt es definitiv nichts zu beanstanden. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass das Essen gut war und das Restaurant grundsätzlich einen angenehmen Eindruck macht. Am Service und an der Organisation – insbesondere im Umgang mit Reservierungen – sollte jedoch noch gearbeitet werden. Mit etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit könnte der Aufenthalt für die Gäste deutlich entspannter und runder sein.

Quite expensive, extremely meat-heavy, and not well-seasoned. Some of the buffet items weren't described, and the presentation could be improved. The grilled meats weren't at all convincing.

Super friendly staff and great buffet food. Since I have a full catering business, I rely on eating everything in very small portions and spread out over a longer period of time. This means I'm usually in the restaurant for between two and three hours and eat four to five plates with very small portions on them. And this restaurant was extremely accommodating, both in terms of service and price. 🥰 I'm very happy that I found this restaurant after my last restaurant fiasco. By chance, a friend introduced me to this place and I ate there a few times. The owner was very nice and the service was enthusiastic. I had a great time eating there and will come here often in the future! The buffet is delicious!

We've been eating there for years whenever we're craving something special. We have a Chinese restaurant right outside our front door, but it's nothing like it. We don't eat meat, but we do eat fish, and there's always plenty of choice for us.

It was my first time there for "To Good To Go" and I got the "sweet and sour pork" without asking. I haven't eaten anything this delicious in a long time, and everything was just right. The texture, the bite, the crunchy crispiness, the tenderness of the inside, and the taste was incredibly umami. I need to get to the "real" food sometime.

I've been visiting this restaurant regularly for over 10 years. The owners are very friendly, and you always feel welcome. Unfortunately, I've noticed recently that some of the dishes have a strange smell – possibly because they're from the day before? I'm not sure. Overall, I've been satisfied – until yesterday. The restaurant was almost empty, with only four guests present. However, there were about 20 flies flying around the buffet. The manager tried to shoo them away, but without lasting success. Some of the dishes were dry, probably because they had been left open for hours. The strong, unpleasant odor from some dishes was particularly noticeable – some had a horrific smell of spoiled fish. An extremely unpleasant, rotten odor also emanated from the kitchen. Since yesterday's visit, I – as well as my partner – have been experiencing recurring gastrointestinal problems. I enjoyed coming here for many years, but after this experience, it was definitely my last visit. I'll also tell my friends who still frequent the restaurant about this. Dear owner, please think about it. It's a real shame that you ended up like this.

I come from Paris and I took a trip to Switzerland with my children, one of them told me that he wanted to eat Chinese, so I rushed to look and I came across this restaurant, and it was excellent, so good, the staff was extremely nice and we received a little gift for my grandchildren. Do people somehow have a taste problem? not tasty.. the duck was still raw at the buffet! and I don't even want to start with the beef, it tasted so disgustingly rubbery, indescribable... and maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to change the oil in the kitchen and clean it as it should be. Lack of hygiene high 1 if it looks like the kitchen in the toilet then bon appetit I think it's jokes that it's children and maybe women who don't eat that much, but they still charge a hefty price for the evening buffet: 28.00 euros, a cheeky thing like that for a little bit of fried stuff and half raw duck/factory-farmed meat! No thanks, I'd rather go to the best Japanese restaurant in town in Switzerland and pay a little more money and it's all fresh!

I came across the palace by chance while looking for an Asian restaurant for the Sunday buffet and was delighted by the friendliness and professionalism of the hosts and the really large selection of high quality in the buffet. I don't understand all the good reviews! It is very unhygienic! The sushi looked like it had been in the display case for 2 days. Nobody ate sushi during my visit. Drinks extremely expensive! In terms of taste, the buffet was not a highlight. For just under 30 euros you can expect fresh and good quality. That is not offered here. We were very disappointed. We won't be coming back.

The first impression is simply dingy. Starting at the entrance, the buffet was a disaster. We hadn't sat down yet and were already asked to get our food. Everything at the buffets was sticky and very unappetizing. The food cold. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like absolutely nothing. The ambience does not exude coziness. The icing on the cake was a servant who used his fingers to shove food into his mouth as he walked past!!! No go!!! The prices, well... cheap for CH... but we will definitely avoid this restaurant!! There are significantly better ones.

Both the buffet and the ordered dishes from the menu are very tasty. Compared to other buffet restaurant, they have more choice and there are more home-made dishes with also more vegetables. They use less salt in general, which i like, and the taste is more subtle and nice. The owners are very friendly. No doubt this is a nice place to go!

Unfortunately, I can't understand all the positive reviews. I am a buffet lover and have eaten in many Chinese restaurants with a Mongolian grill/open buffet, but this one was only a “mini version” in comparison. The selection is meager and not satisfactory. At lunchtime it's okay for 15.80€, but otherwise over 25€/person it's way too overpriced. There wasn't much going on at the Mongolian grill, but our meat wasn't cooked through, but almost burnt (? High setting on the grill!) On the second round, we said this at the front, but it still came back exactly the same. Unfortunately we were here for the first and last time. I'd rather drive a bit :)

I've been a regular guest with my family for years. You are always greeted in a super friendly manner and the food is always of the same high standard.

The restaurant is on the first floor, it is very large and consists of separate tables for four. There is a huge buffet as well as a German and a Chinese menu. The German map is a bit overloaded and confusing. I recommend the Chinese menu anyway. The Chinese dishes are surprisingly authentic for our region. The portions are very large, so far I have tried 麻婆豆腐 and 干锅小鸡, both were tasty. The second time I actually received sticky rice, perhaps because I ordered from the Chinese menu. The prices were fine for me at EUR 13 and EUR 18. The toilets were fairly clean but not sparkling. Two of the three sanitizer dispensers I encountered were empty. Unfortunately there was a draft in the restaurant, but I understand that because other guests complained about the strong smell in their reviews.
