Die besten Restaurants in Bad Herrenalb

Wir haben die Klosterschänke inzwischen schon mehrfach besucht und sind immer wieder begeistert. Die Klosterschänke hat das Zeug zum absoluten Lieblingsrestaurant. Angefangen beim herzlichen Empfang und aufmerksamen Service von Herrn Bastian, über den wunderschön gestalteten Gastraum, bis hin zu der hervorragenden Küche unter der Leitung von Herrn König, stimmt einfach alles. Auch die Planung einer Familienfeier im April 2024 wurde professionell umgesetzt und alle Gäste waren rundum zufrieden. Da die Karte regelmäßig wechselt, wird man immer wieder mit neuen, außergewöhnlichen Kreationen von Herrn König überrascht. Die Klosterschänke ist immer einen Besuch wert!

Wir waren heute das zweite Mal in der Villa Lina. Das Rinderfilet mit Kartoffelgratin war enttäuschend. Für 31 Euro hätten wir mehr erwartet. Das Filet schmeckte ungewürzt und war am Rand grau und sehr trocken. In der Soße war viel zu viel Pfeffer. Das Gratin war sehr wenig, ca. zwei Gabeln und schmeckte fad. Auf Wunsch, den wir gleich als der Teller gebracht wurde und wir die winzige Portion gesehen hatten äusserten, bekamen wir zwar noch einen Nachschlag des Gratins, der kam allerdings erst so spät, dass der Teller schon leer gegessen war. Keinerlei Entschuldigung oder Verständnis wurde uns entgegen gebracht. Das Walnuss Ravioli war sehr salzig und der Pastateig zu gar, die Portion war klein, 6 Stück. Wir waren zu viert und mussten knapp 1,5 Stunden auf den Hauptgang warten. Die Gäste am Nebentisch kamen nach uns und waren bereits mit dem Dessert fertig, als unser Essen kam. Auf Nachfrage wurde dies damit begründet, dass wir ja einen kleinen Vorspeisen Salat hatten. Auch hier keinerlei Entschuldigung. Das können wir nicht nachvollziehen. Bei allen von uns angebrachten Fragen, wurde verständnislos und etwas genervt reagiert. Für zwei Hauptmahlzeiten, einen Vorspeisen Salat und zwei Getränke, bezahlten wir 68 Euro. Alles in allem stimmte weder der Service, noch das Essen und wir werden nicht wiederkommen. Als zahlender Gast möchte man sich willkommen fühlen und nicht wie lästig und fast wie ein Bittsteller.

Visit on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 in the afternoon The Restaurant Plaza has an ideal location in Bad Herrenalb, directly on the Alb and in the immediate vicinity of the town hall forecourt. On site there are culinary 'Swiss' specialties, the Rösti, with various side dishes - because the potato Rösti is the main focus here in the restaurant. As an alternative to the menu, there are also recommendations from the house on a display at the entrance >> porcini mushroom risotto with a small salad. I had made a reservation in advance by email - in the restaurant I was greeted warmly by the owner and offered a table next to the door - immediately afterwards, I had not yet taken a seat, the owner asked on his own initiative whether this was me with the reservation and after I confirmed, I was then offered another table on which a menu had already been prepared and the tea light there was lit. >> Since I like to drink (sweet) wine and the menu doesn't suggest a selection, I asked the boss for a wine recommendation and he suggested a semi-dry red wine - 0.25l for €7.50. >> Potato rosti, with fried butterfish, creme fraiche herb dip, small salad for €23.00 Summary: After the wine recommendation was brought to me, the boss also asked whether the wine suited my taste :-) Before the main course, the small salad was brought to the table >> delicious salad dressing and I was very satisfied. Then the Rösti with butterfish, very tender and delicious in taste, with the creme fraiche herb dip, rounded off the dish completely. After I had finished my main course, I actually expected the owner to walk through and check on the guests and their wishes, but unfortunately that didn't happen and I had to deduct something from the service accordingly. I would have liked to order a dessert or something similar, but since I depend on public transport and my bus came (only runs every hour!), I had to pay. The Plaza Restaurant has modern furnishings and, in my opinion, the food was very tasty - I would love to do it again :-)

Very tasty food in a very nice atmosphere. The boss cooks himself - and does it excellently. Schnitzels are particularly recommended.

I order pizza and pasta for the family at home, while my family enjoys spending time on the beautiful terrace in the summer. The service and quality are excellent, as are the prices. Any recommendation from me

Was very tasty. I ordered half a spicy chicken with fries.

It was the worst Greek restaurant we had eaten at so far. Ordered a grill plate for 2 people. Quality of the meat was poor. Potatoes and vegetables overcooked. There was only one bone on the lamb chop. No price-performance ratio. Ate better at a kebab shop for much less money.
