Hammer geile Garnelen...müsst ihr probieren...alles war super...der Kellner nett und zuvorkommend... Schönes Ambiente was will man mehr... Absolute Empfehlung

Das Essen, das ich hier genossen habe, war köstlich. Die Garnelen waren perfekt in der Pfanne gebraten, der Zwiebelrostbraten war auf dem Punkt gegart – serviert mit Spätzle und einer herrlichen Soße – und die Schokoladentarte war ein Genuss. Obendrein war der Kellner sehr sympathisch. Ich komme definitiv wieder.

Also ich habe Bad Herrenalb erst dieses Jahr entdeckt und ich bin begeistert (bin immer für eine kleine private Kur in Bad Wildbad in der Nähe). Das Restaurant zur alten Post entdeckt man relativ schnell wenn man von Bahnhof kommt...und natürlich bleibt man dann hier auch gerne hängen... jedenfalls ist die Speisekarte toll und das Ambiente gefällt mir auch gut (besonders innen), die Toiletten sind modern und SEHR sauber, der Service ist auch an hochfrequentierten Feiertagen erfreulich schnell und freundlich und die Küche ist wirklich ausgezeichnet!!! Das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis ist vollkommen in Ordnung für mein Empfinden und bei meinem nächsten Besuch im schönen Schwarzwald 🌲🌲🌲 freue ich mich, hier wieder einzukehren... Draußen ist es ein bisschen laut wegen der Straße, aber dafür hat man immer etwas zum Gucken :-) was auch nicht verkehrt ist, da ich alleine unterwegs bin... War jetzt zweimal in zwei Tagen hier. Super lecker Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und freundlich. Insgesamt ein tolles Restaurant und uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.

Wir waren nicht so zufrieden. Die Musik recht laut, die Speisen ziemlich einfach und ohne Raffinesse, dafür aber etwas zu teuer. Der Service ist freundlich und Charmant, hilft aber nichts, wenn die Speisen mäßig sind.: Gemischter Salat für 20€ sieht andernorts deutlich besser aus, ein Zander paniert ist Geschmacksache - unser Geschmack wurde nicht getroffen.

Sehr schönes Lokal. Vieles selbstgemachte, rürs Essen nur 4 Sterne wir hatten Pfeffergeschnetzeltes und es war sehr sehr sehr scharf, das es nach Pfeffer schmeckt und etwas schärfer ist war uns bewusst es war jedoch extrem scharf, dies ist Geschmackssache. Aber deshalb nur 4 Sterne von uns. Kommen trotzdem gerne wieder

War mit meiner Freundin Essen,war sehr, sehr lecker. Wir haben Serviettenknödel,mit Pilzragout und Salat gegessen. Zum Abschluss gab es noch heißer Apfelstrudel,mit Kirschen und Eis. Es war auch ein Augenschmaus,denn das Auge isst mit. Waren auch sehr zufrieden mit dem Keller,sehr nett, liebevoll und zuvorkommend. Ich kann dieses Restaurant einem jeden empfehlen. Wir waren schon häufig in der Alten Post (leider weite Anreise) und jedesmal sehr zufrieden. Dort wird Freundlichkeit, Herzlichkeit und aufmerksamer Service groß geschrieben. Faire Preise und leckere Gerichte, eine wechselnde Tageskarte und super köstliche Desserts machen den Abend rundum gelungen. Je nach Wochentag sollte lieber reserviert werden.

Bisher sind wir nur immer vorbei gefahren und wurden sehr positiv überrascht, Mittagessen Gaisburger Marsch (schwäbischer Eintopf) sehr empfehlenswert wie von meiner Oma. Sehr gepflegtes Restaurent, sehr freundlicher Service die Entdeckung für uns in Bad Herrenalb. Wir kommen bald wieder.

Ausreichende Menüauswahl, sehr günstige Preise. Effizienter Service und angenehme Atmosphäre mit ansprechender, rustikaler Einrichtung. Das Essen war von relativ guter Qualität. Die Portionen waren ausreichend. Die Gerichte waren gut zubereitet und die Saucen ausgezeichnet. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der graue Kandelaber, der an Lumière aus „Die Schöne und das Biest“ erinnert. Und übrigens: Die Zuckerdose auf den Tischen enthält kein Salz! 😅

Wir waren gestern zum ersten mal in dem Restaurant. Meine Frau ist zur Zeit hier in REHA. Wir suchten ein geeignetes Restaurant und haben mit der Alten Post einen Volltreffer gelandet. Wir waren 4 Personen und haben unterschiedliche Gerichte bestellt. Was soll ich sagen, wir waren alle sehr, sehr zufrieden und begeistert. Das Ambiente, die Qualität, der Service, alles hervorragend. Nicht zu vergessen, die absolute Sauberkeit der WC - Anlagen. Dieses Restaurant ist einfach nur empfehlenswert.

Mega lecker.... Maultaschen. Auch was ich bei den anderen gesehen habe war schon ein Augenschmaus. Gute Auswahl bei der Karte wie Tagesangebot! Nicht zu viel nicht zu wenig,wie das Essen. Weiter so! Richtig gemütlich auch,hat mir gefallen.

Wir waren bereits ein halbes Dutzend Mal in der Alten Post und haben dort jedesmal etwas gegessen. Das Restaurant befindet sich im schön renovierten Haus der ehemaligen Post von Bad Herrenalb, erbaut im typischen Schwarzwaldstil. Der Gastraum ist modern, aber urgemütlich eingerichtet. Wir fühlen uns immer sehr wohl. Die Speisekarte ist international und kreativ ausgerichtet, auch Vegetarier werden hier fündig. Außerdem werden tagesaktuelle Speisen angeboten. Uns hat es jedesmal sehr gut geschmeckt (ein Lob an die Küche). "Speis und Trank" brachte uns der ausgesprochen freundliche und nette Inhaber selbst. Das Restaurant -5 Minuten vom Bahnhof entfernt- ist unseres Erachtens nach ein echtes Kleinod in Bad Herrenalb. Wir kommen immer wieder gern hierher.

Das Kaffee zur Post ist ein wirklich gemütlicher Ort zum Wohlfühlen. Die Atmosphäre ist freundlich und einladend, der Service aufmerksam und herzlich. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die hausgemachten Waffeln – frisch, liebevoll zubereitet und einfach köstlich. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, egal ob für einen Kaffee zwischendurch oder einen entspannten Nachmittag. Sehr zu empfehlen!

The portions were generous, the apple strudel for dessert was divine, and the coffee was simply superb. We wish you continued success and prosperity!

Today, the four of us visited the Alte Post for the first time and received a very warm welcome from the owner. It was a lovely lunch. The owner recommended dishes that weren't on the menu. It was very pleasant and cozy at the Alte Post, and we'd gladly come back. One of us lost his car keys there, but thankfully he found them again.

Ate a delicious daily special, venison goulash. It wasn't very busy on a Wednesday. Local draft beer and a good selection of spirits. Very friendly and relaxed service. Paying by card was no problem. Would definitely go back.

Unfortunately, there was an extremely long wait for everything. The service was very friendly and attentive, but it's difficult to serve and serve at the counter at the same time during lunchtime.

We ate here. The roast beef with onions was cooked through and without any fried onions. When I asked why they didn't serve fried onions with the roast beef, I was told they didn't have them. They're quick to make, I said. The waiter took my plate, put a new piece of meat on it, and said, "Here's your meat, there are no more onions to go with it." When I asked where my onions were on the plate, I received no answer. Unacceptable behavior. And it wasn't tasty either.

Four of us were there to eat cake and were looking forward to fresh cake. Unfortunately, the visit was overall disappointing. The service tried hard, but with only four types of cakes they couldn't even tell which ones were on offer - that didn't seem very professional. The strawberry cake tasted worse than a frozen version, the Black Forest cake felt like it only consisted of 70% cream and was barely edible. In addition, there were dirty cutlery - an absolute no-go in an inn. And when paying there was a calculation error in the house's favor. Luckily we noticed it ourselves. This was the first and last visit for us.

We couldn't visit because, despite the posted opening times, it was closed on Wednesday evening for no reason.

We were there with three people and after about 10 minutes we placed our order for the food and a good 10 minutes later for the starter. This was a salad and a goulash soup, both of which were very good. There was nothing to complain about about the main course, which came about 5 minutes later, except that when it was delivered, these served dumplings were lost in my meal. However, when you spoke to the service, they noticed immediately and the dumplings were there 2 minutes later. The food tasted perfect and the atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy. Another thing worth mentioning is that there is also free parking available for guests behind the post office in the backyard. All in all four and a half stars! TOP Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures, but there are already some here that describe everything well! I can only recommend the restaurant and would definitely visit it again.

we wanted to have dinner and were looking for a place. On the way there was the Old Post Office. We saw fish on the menu (we don't eat meat) and decided to go in. There were free tables outside, but the customers were smoking there, so we went inside, where there was no one, only loud music. Seeing us, the waiter turned the music down, offered the menu and answered questions. He was good-natured, ironic, and most importantly - very similar to James Bond played by Daniel Craig. In the end, we liked the dinner, the beer, the waiter (maybe it was the owner, we don't know), and the whole place in general! And the town is generally wonderful!

We ate at this restaurant on Sunday as part of an outing with the family. The restaurant itself is really very nice, the service is great, the toilets are very clean, the location is great, parking is also available, the owner is very personable and accommodating and most importantly: the food is extremely delicious. The prices are extremely fair for this quality of food! At our table we had: salad with rump steak strips, zander fillet with potato salad, redfish curry with shrimp and the corn poulade with pesto and salad and everyone was extremely satisfied and happy. All in all: an all-round perfect restaurant experience. This is how you enjoy eating out! We can only warmly recommend this restaurant. We will come back!

We came across the Restaurant zur Post quite by chance, wanted to stop in for a café and cake, and we weren't disappointed. If the best part of the rump steak is the fries, that says it all! But at least super tasty fries! Even on the second attempt, the chef fried the rump steak to death instead of English.

Spontan essen gegangen. Bedienung unfreundlich. Schaute um viertel vor 9 genervt auf die Uhr, als wir Dessert bestellten. Als wir aufgestanden sind, lief sie uns mit Schlüssel hinterher und schob uns sanft kn den strömenden Regen, sodass sie abschließen konnte. Die ganze Nacht Durchfall, Bauchschmerzen, Schüttelfrost und Fieber. Fazit: Nie mehr!

We booked an appointment at this restaurant 4 1/2 months earlier. This date was supposed to be a banquet of confirmation. 2 months beforehand you get a call saying that the appointment cannot be kept because the visit has not been entered in the correct “book”. So the appointment was canceled by the economy, 2 months before the confirmation. Now the question arises as to whether you can eat anywhere at all. All restaurants are fully booked so it probably won't be a celebratory confirmation. Many thanks to the economy for not having a ceremonial confirmation.

Went here for the second time with our dog and were served in a super friendly manner by the service lady. The food was always very good and we were full. They immediately responded to my special request for a large salad with schnitzel, even though it wasn't on the menu. We'd love to come back. She rocks the place alone... Hats off...
