Our food was okay and beyond reproach. The service could have been friendlier and warmer. Parking was satisfactory because we were traveling by bike. The price and value were almost exactly right.

I went out to eat with my family and it was delicious. The staff was also very friendly.

We had a delicious meal. The Jägerpfännchen (hunter's pan) was amazing. Afterwards, we sampled the wide selection of spirits 👍

We ate here. The roast beef with onions was cooked through and without any fried onions. When I asked why they didn't serve fried onions with the roast beef, I was told they didn't have them. They're quick to make, I said. The waiter took my plate, put a new piece of meat on it, and said, "Here's your meat, there are no more onions to go with it." When I asked where my onions were on the plate, I received no answer. Unacceptable behavior. And it wasn't tasty either.

Four of us were there to eat cake and were looking forward to fresh cake. Unfortunately, the visit was overall disappointing. The service tried hard, but with only four types of cakes they couldn't even tell which ones were on offer - that didn't seem very professional. The strawberry cake tasted worse than a frozen version, the Black Forest cake felt like it only consisted of 70% cream and was barely edible. In addition, there were dirty cutlery - an absolute no-go in an inn. And when paying there was a calculation error in the house's favor. Luckily we noticed it ourselves. This was the first and last visit for us.

We couldn't visit because, despite the posted opening times, it was closed on Wednesday evening for no reason.

We spontaneously went for lunch today and everyone was thrilled. The order was taken friendly and we were served our food without a long wait. Homemade spaetzle, good quality meat rounded off with a delicious sauce. I'd love to come back there.

We were there with three people and after about 10 minutes we placed our order for the food and a good 10 minutes later for the starter. This was a salad and a goulash soup, both of which were very good. There was nothing to complain about about the main course, which came about 5 minutes later, except that when it was delivered, these served dumplings were lost in my meal. However, when you spoke to the service, they noticed immediately and the dumplings were there 2 minutes later. The food tasted perfect and the atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy. Another thing worth mentioning is that there is also free parking available for guests behind the post office in the backyard. All in all four and a half stars! TOP Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures, but there are already some here that describe everything well! I can only recommend the restaurant and would definitely visit it again.

we wanted to have dinner and were looking for a place. On the way there was the Old Post Office. We saw fish on the menu (we don't eat meat) and decided to go in. There were free tables outside, but the customers were smoking there, so we went inside, where there was no one, only loud music. Seeing us, the waiter turned the music down, offered the menu and answered questions. He was good-natured, ironic, and most importantly - very similar to James Bond played by Daniel Craig. In the end, we liked the dinner, the beer, the waiter (maybe it was the owner, we don't know), and the whole place in general! And the town is generally wonderful!

We ate at this restaurant on Sunday as part of an outing with the family. The restaurant itself is really very nice, the service is great, the toilets are very clean, the location is great, parking is also available, the owner is very personable and accommodating and most importantly: the food is extremely delicious. The prices are extremely fair for this quality of food! At our table we had: salad with rump steak strips, zander fillet with potato salad, redfish curry with shrimp and the corn poulade with pesto and salad and everyone was extremely satisfied and happy. All in all: an all-round perfect restaurant experience. This is how you enjoy eating out! We can only warmly recommend this restaurant. We will come back!

I worked there. And exploited every time. Was never appreciated and always made a fool of the other waitress. Zero respect and understanding 🙏 never again!!!!

We came across the Restaurant zur Post quite by chance, wanted to stop in for a café and cake, and we weren't disappointed. On the contrary, a very, very good restaurant, very pleasant Mediterranean atmosphere, including super clean toilets. We then had the apple strudel with cream, vanilla ice cream and cherries. We were served a dream, perfectly prepared, very good quality. The cappuccino with it, hot and strong, simply top. An absolute recommendation from me, five stars +

If the best part of the rump steak is the fries, that says it all! But at least super tasty fries! Even on the second attempt, the chef fried the rump steak to death instead of English.

Spontan essen gegangen. Bedienung unfreundlich. Schaute um viertel vor 9 genervt auf die Uhr, als wir Dessert bestellten. Als wir aufgestanden sind, lief sie uns mit Schlüssel hinterher und schob uns sanft kn den strömenden Regen, sodass sie abschließen konnte. Die ganze Nacht Durchfall, Bauchschmerzen, Schüttelfrost und Fieber. Fazit: Nie mehr!

We booked an appointment at this restaurant 4 1/2 months earlier. This date was supposed to be a banquet of confirmation. 2 months beforehand you get a call saying that the appointment cannot be kept because the visit has not been entered in the correct “book”. So the appointment was canceled by the economy, 2 months before the confirmation. Now the question arises as to whether you can eat anywhere at all. All restaurants are fully booked so it probably won't be a celebratory confirmation. Many thanks to the economy for not having a ceremonial confirmation.

Went here for the second time with our dog and were served in a super friendly manner by the service lady. The food was always very good and we were full. They immediately responded to my special request for a large salad with schnitzel, even though it wasn't on the menu. We'd love to come back. She rocks the place alone... Hats off... Short and rude service. If you enter this establishment you will not be assigned a table and will not be given any attention. If you finally sit down at a table after waiting for a while, you will be shouted at. Things didn't get any better after that. I actually considered leaving straight away instead of staying in the unpleasant atmosphere. Food was OK

How bad ! The food is really not good. Prices recorded outside the restaurant on a billboard are cheaper than actually on the menu. Salad without any dressing, Belgian waffles offered as small thin waffles, drinks warm. Instead of expensive cognac, get cheap booze. Then the worst -> Service is terrible: unfriendly, throws things, doesn't listen properly when ordering (older woman in gothic look) If you don't feel like working anymore: leave it!!!! Wasted time. Hope it was just a bad day for the place because the location is perfect and the restaurant is clean and actually welcoming.

I was there twice with a guest. However, I probably won't go there again. The reason: the extremely rude “service”. More on that later. But first about the food: The food was solid, but I think the prices were too high. We had the Wiener Schnitzel with fries. The schnitzel tasted good, but the portion of fries was relatively small. Service: Disgraceful. The older service lady has already been mentioned here several times. I have never encountered anything so rude in the restaurant industry. Already on our first visit we were given the impression that we were not welcome. The second time it was even worse. I wanted to order a little water at 9 p.m. The restaurant was open until 10 p.m. When I ordered, the lady looked grumpily at the clock behind her and then brought me my water without a word. This is outrageous and really not professional. The other guests wanted dessert or coffee and were then very rudely informed that the kitchen was closed and the coffee machine had already been cleaned. Therefore, I would not recommend the restaurant under any circumstances.

Schönes schnuckeliges Restaurant. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und gab uns das Gefühl willkommen zu sein. Auch der Herr hinter der Theke war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Dessert kam vom Koch persönlich. Allem in allem ein rundum gelungener Abend mit meinem Mann, wunderbarem Essen und tollem Ambiente. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren heute da, spontan zu zweit ohne Reservierung und zum Glück noch einen Platz bekommen. Das Essen( Schweinebraten, Spätzle, Beilagensalat und Rösti) war ne absolute 1, wie von Oma Zuhause. Der Service super gut und sehr freundlich und das Ambiente sehr romantisch ( obwohl wir nur beste Freunde sind). Vielen lieben Dank es war echt toll! Und Schnaps aufs Haus war auch sehr lecker! Gut bürgerliche Küche, sehr lecker, aufmerksam, hygienebewusst. Cool geschnittene Pommes frites zum Schnitzel, alles schön, um angenehm satt werden. Immer wieder special Gerichte, auch nach Jahreszeit. Schöne Einrichtung, 2 Speiseräume, Reservierung empfehlenswert, weil die Räumlichkeiten gemütlich klein sind. Wir haben das Restaurant bereits persönlich weiter empfohlen.

Kann die schlechten und auch teilweise miesen Rezensionen gegen über der Einzigen Bedienung nicht teilen. Diese Arme Frau schmeißt den ganzen Laden im Alleingang! Wenn man sich die Menge der Rezensionen dieser Rezensenten Überhaupt erst einmal ansieht, sagt die Erfahrung darüber schon Alles aus! By the way: Bei der Anfahrt zu Bad Herrenalb wird man Automatisch an die Landschaft der Schwarzwaldklinik Erinnert.

Bedienung war sehr unfreundlich. Als ich 11:40 Uhr kam (11:30 Uhr Öffnungszeit) wurde ich gleich sehr unfreundlich empfangen mit "Wir haben noch nicht offen..." Musste mich quasi Entschuldungen dass ich kurz nach Öffnungszeit kam. Das Essen war durchschnittlich (Fleisch etwas zäh), und dafür etwas teuer. Ich verstehe ja wenn eine Bedienung alleine alles machen muss und gestresst ist, aber das beim Gast auslassen geht garnicht.

Ein schönes stilvolles neu renoviertes Restaurant in altem Gemäuer. Bedienung war alleine, aber trotzdem immer aufmerksam. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Das Essen (vegetarisch) war lecker und frisch. Die Kombinationen überraschend. Pesto zum gegrillten Gemüse, kandierte Nüsse und Gemüsechips im Salat. Der Apfelstrudel war auch lecker. Aber Vorsicht: Rosinen! 😉 Nur zu empfehlen. ❤️

Das Essen war sehr sehr gut und ist echt zu empfehlen. Aber die Servicekraft/ Bedienung ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Pärchen mit Hund wurde gleich entfernt, Kinder wurden mit Augenrollen kommentiert und wir wurden gleich angegangen, ob wir nicht warten könnten, nachdem wir nach ca. 10 Minuten sitzen uns selbst eine Speisekarte geholt hatten.

Week-end de Pâques à Bad Herrenalb. Le dimanche nous avons déjeuné en famille dans ce restaurant. Très belle bâtisse, aussi bien intérieur qu'extérieur. Nous sommes arrivés en retard , route bloquée suite à un accident de circulation . La patronne, très compréhensive, nous a très bien accueillis. Les plats étaient très bon et en quantité suffisante. Service rapide et soigné. Les prix sont dans la bonne moyenne. Si vous êtes à Bad Herrenalb, je recommande Zur Alte Post.

Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt, die Bewirtung war freundlich! Das Lokal ist innen sehr schön und auch aussen sitzt man gemütlich!Minuspunkt für den Salat!

Man stelle sich vor es Mittagszeit und Opa/Oma mit Ki. unterwegs,Terrasse ist einladend und die Bedienung nicht die freundlichste. Man einigt sich auf Ki Schniposa und drei kleine Fantas mit Röhrchen.Auf der Spsk.ist das Gedeck nicht angegeben.Die Überraschung kommt dann beim bezahlen für die KI-Schniposa 38,90@ und Fantas 9,30€ insgesamt hatten wir 65 Euro dagelassen.Wenn man solchen Preisen behandelt wird braucht sich keiner wundern wenn eine Familie sich das nicht mehr leisten kann.
