A wonderful place with a warm atmosphere. The food is fresh and delicious, prepared with love. I was particularly impressed by the friendly service – attentive, quick, and always with a smile.
A perfect place for a cozy meal. Highly recommended! 🌟
My husband had a very cheesy lasagna, my eggplant Parm, wasn't what I expected. Now, I was careful not to mix up the American version of this dish, still I was very disappointed. Over cooked, more like a eggplant mash smothered in melted cheese.
Excellent freshly baked pizza bread !
Tasty salad, home made dressing , not drowning the salad!
We ate here as a family for the first time, and we'll definitely be back. We enjoyed the comfortable outdoor seating. We really enjoyed the delicious, homemade pasta and sauces. There's a wide variety of pasta and sauce options (with and without meat), so everyone found something they liked. The friendly and fast service rounded it off as a perfect visit for us.
The overall atmosphere was quite nice.
The food was nothing special - the high prices were therefore incomprehensible. You can get the same quality for half the price at the larger sushi restaurants in the city center.
Despite reservations made until 8 p.m. and more seats available, we were told shortly after our order (within just under 30 minutes we were asked 2-3 times if we wanted to order something else) that we had finally been billed should be. If it had been full that would have been understandable, but there was at least one table left and there was no queue. At the same time, we actually had a reservation that was valid until 8 p.m.
After almost an hour (it was around 7 p.m.) we were out of the restaurant again.
I've never felt so almost thrown out before.
It's a shame, because I was actually thinking about going here for the anniversary. After this treatment, I would rather go to other sushi restaurants than come here again.
The quality was okay. But a braised shashlik (like at the food trucks of old) with fries and salad for €22 is pretty steep. Well, I chose it myself, but I didn't want to leave without eating. Gyros and fries with tzatziki were also €22. Hello!? So this isn't a luxury restaurant or a fine-dining restaurant...
P.S. Note on the owner's response: The restaurant wasn't compared to a snack bar in terms of either "ambience" or "quality." That was fine, nothing more, nothing less. It's about assessing the value for money. However, even with the quoted "ambience," I can't find any argument that would justify this price. Furthermore, it's a lack of character to attack a guest who questions the price-performance ratio, which is always in proportion in restaurants, and who is also allowed to review here. I can't imagine that many guests appreciate the €22 price tag for shashlik or gyros. You can get that at a fairer price in other restaurants—and you know it!
Shortly:
After the civil wedding, my wife and I spent the evening with the family (23 people) in the Délice restaurant and were more than satisfied.
Communication:
The communication with the lady of the house was very uncomplicated and warm in advance, which made planning much easier for us. Individual requests were addressed and helpfully supplemented with our own ideas.
Service and food:
On that evening everything went smoothly. The food was, as usual, high quality and delicious - which was also communicated to us by our family. The service was quick and always warm given the number of people and active small children to be served at the same time. Occasional additional orders such as drinks or side dishes were always responded to quickly. The price/performance ratio, considering our celebration, was great.
Conclusion:
My wife and I were finally able to unwind contentedly and happily after the celebration. I can always recommend the restaurant with a sincere conscience.
Regulars with my partner—definitely see this restaurant for yourself! Don't be put off by unnecessary negative reviews just because someone had to wait an extra two minutes. Remember: satisfied guests often leave fewer reviews, while some who wait a short time immediately criticize negatively—perhaps because they've had a bad day. The owner and his wife put in a lot of effort and do everything for their customers! The owner prepares the pizzas with incredible love and care, and the quality is consistently perfect every time—that's saying something! A huge thank you to the owner and his wife—keep up the good work!
Super cool place. You can sit and relax and eat. I personally think the decor is very nice; everything is very stylishly separated. Very friendly service and really delicious food. If you're in the area, you should definitely go and see for yourself. I personally found the music very appealing too; at least when I was there, it was all rock. If you like that: Danzig, Floggin Molly, Dropkicks,... The weather wasn't great, but there's a bar outside and a beer/cocktail garden. I don't know about parking, I walked there. It's by the train station, so you should be able to park there. Call ahead and reserve a table.
Super tasty and rich food at very fair prices 😋
The first attempt on a Sunday evening we didn't get a seat, but on a Saturday with a reservation it worked. No wonder with the good food!
Even if the restaurant is inconspicuous from the outside: a really tasty, juicy homemade schnitzel with crispy breading, the croquettes cleverly arranged so that the breading doesn't end up in the sauce.
Very tender turkey steak with baked potatoes and the "grill plates" at the neighboring tables also looked very good.
Very large portions, just under 20 euros per person
Everything in the small shop is beautifully presented and the service is really attentive and friendly.
A real recommendation for Kiel, even if it is not quite in the city center.
It's still worth a visit!
