Very nice little restaurant in a family atmosphere with lovingly authentic furnishings. The staff is very welcoming with good service. Above all, the food is delicious at fair prices and the wine is particularly excellent. I would love to come back and recommend it :)

Well attended. I was alone, without a reservation. Super nice reception, a table quickly. Super nice people here. First of all, the side salad with a delicious house dressing. Then pizza, side dishes of your choice. TOP! Thanks, come again.

Very tasty food, incredibly nice service and great ambience. In the summer it's nice to sit outside and there are enough parking spaces within walking distance. The prices are almost too cheap :-)

We stayed here a pat months ago and I can really recommend it. You can choose different types of ice cream and the corresponding toppings yourself. This meant you had the perfect ice cream!🍦🍨 There are also cups made from waffle batter. Very good for the environment!

Unfortunately today's dining experience was a disaster. We came here for lunch with two adults and two children. The children received their portions of fries, which unfortunately had to be returned immediately because they only tasted like old fat. Half an hour later I had to reorder because the repair didn't work either. Unfortunately there was only pasta with tomato sauce for the children. Unfortunately, when they arrived after more than 90 minutes, we adults were not allowed to eat at the same time. Upon request, our food came after TWO hours. Since our mood was already in the basement at that point and our children couldn't be expected to wait any longer, we had the entire remaining menu come at the same time in order to finish the meal as quickly as possible. This wasn't actually our idea of ​​a nice birthday meal. In the end we were left alone by the service. At least a farewell would have been nice. Of course we communicated our dissatisfaction. In return, we were given a waiver of the children's meals that had been lost. Over 100 euros for a bad experience. Very unfortunate.

The kitchen deserves 5 stars. The service was attentive and courteous. If the restaurant is full it takes a while. It is one of the few German restaurants in Gotha that can be fully recommended.

Were there for the Christmas party with our company. Delicious food, good portions and for a fair price. The whole process and service were extremely well organized. Absolute fish connoisseur :) Happy to come back!

We spent 4 nights at the Hotel Wendl at the end of October. It was wonderful, we were able to relax and unwind - also thanks to the courteous service. We used the wellness area with infrared cabin and Finnish sauna every evening. The breakfast was well stocked and offered plenty of healthy food, so that we could set off on our hikes well fortified. The location in Freyung is ideal: a good starting point for the national park and at the same time the city life of a small town with shopping opportunities. The rooms face south, so there is no noise from the street. Gladly again!
