Ich bin jedes Mal begeistert. Der Service ist flott und immer zu einem Späßchen bereit. Das Essen bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Auf Wünsche zur Schärfe wird in jede Richtung Rücksicht genommen.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker, die Bedienung war auch sehr nett und die Preise günstig. Wir würden das gerne wieder geniessen. Die Küche hat aber bei hohem Besucheraufkommen Mühe mit dem Kochen. Wir wurden orientiert, dass wir warten müssen, es wurden aber über 45 Minuten daraus, solche Wartezeiten sollten unbedingt in "Ca-Minuten" kommuniziert werden, "warten" ist dafür zu ungenau.

Bin seit Jahren gerne in der Orchidee. Nettes Personal und super Essen mit toller Preis Leistung. Die Orchidee ist eine Instanz in Herdern!

Hat wie immer bestens geschmeckt. Perfekter Service, die Orchidee kann man nur empfehlen.

Hoffe dieser Laden macht bald dicht. Die Chefin sollte mal von ihrem hohen Ross runterkommen. Wie auch schon in der Rose...Eine sehr unfreundliche, arrogante und unsympathische Frau.

Hör auf zu suchen. Du bist bei Orchidee richtig. Vertrau mir einfach. Preis-Leistung unschlagbar. Super lecker. Die Familie, die das Restaurant führt, ist einfach vorbildhaft.

Bestes Essen zu einem sehr fairen Preis

Ein fantastisches Mittagsmenü zu einem super Preis. Das Essen ist so authentisch wie nur möglich. Schade, dass ich nicht in der Nähe wohne.

Wieder einen tollen Abend dort verbracht! Lecker gegessen, preislich top! Weiter so!

Freundlicher Service, angenehme Räume, ausreichende Variationen auf der Karte, schmackhaft, gute Portionen, korrekte Preise. Gerne wieder!

Man wird freundlich, fröhlich und zuvorkommend bedient, auch in Zeiten, in denen das Lokal voll ist. Dann ist eine Tischreservierung sinnvoll. Die Gerichte sind vielfältig und super lecker. Sie werden alle frisch zubereitet. Auch Vegetarier müssen hier nicht hungrig bleiben. Die Preise sind absolut in Ordnung.

Leckeres thailändischen Restaurant in Freiburg war alles sehr gut nur mit der Schärfe muss man aufpassen der Chilli den sie dazu machen ist gut scharf muss man gewohnt sein

Leider bin ich echt enttäuscht, weil ich extra nach Pad Thai gesucht hatte und mich die anderen Bewertungen überzeugt haben. Der Geschmack ist gut und es ist lecker, jedoch ist es eine sehr kleine Portion. (Und ich hatte die auch sehr kleinen Frühlingsrollen als Vorspeise, wobei ich mir am Anfang überlegt hatte, diese nicht zu bestellen) Auf mein Feedback, dass es lecker und die Portion zu klein war, kam nur ein tut mir leid. Ehrlicherweise hatte ich mir hier mehr erhofft, weil ich ehrlich und direkt das Feedback gegeben und nicht einfach nur eine Bewertung geschrieben habe. Somit hatte das Restaurant seine Chance. Am Ende kann ich nur sagen, dass ich das Restaurant hungrig verlassen habe...

Sehr leckeres Essen (Laotisches Curry) und super freundlicher Inhaber welcher uns noch einen Thai Whiskey (Shot) spendiert hat! Alles in allem ein sehr gutes Restaurant

Gute Lage in der Habsburgerstraße Ideal für ein gutes Mittagessen Preise fair. Personal freundlich Im Sommer kann man draußen sitzen, dann ist aber ggf. die Straße und Straßenbahn in der Nähe nicht so angenehm.

Essen hat geschmeckt, die Preise sind gut und der Betreiber ist sympathisch

Highly recommended – one of my all-time favorite restaurants! I'm a regular at Orchidee, and I look forward to my visit every time. The food is consistently excellent: always fresh, delicious, and aromatic, with a fantastic selection of Thai and Vietnamese dishes. For me, Orchidee is definitely one of my three absolute favorite restaurants – the whole package is just right, which is why I keep coming back. You can tell that the kitchen staff works with a lot of love and consistency; the quality has been consistently outstanding for years. The atmosphere is cozy, you immediately feel at ease, and the service is friendly, attentive, and warm. For anyone who loves Asian cuisine and values ​​consistently high quality, Orchidee is a clear recommendation – I always come back with great pleasure!

Friendly service, the Thai pad had a bit too little vegetable and was too sour for my taste, but it was still tasty. Good food quality 👍 Waitstaff speak German, prices are okay.

We arrived without a reservation at 7:30 pm and shared a starter and a main course. Their red curry was delicious, and the servers were very friendly! :) Less than 30 euros for a starter, a main course, and two beers 🍻

The chef is super nice and accommodating. If you want Asian food in Freiburg, you have to come here! In my opinion, there's nowhere better. Price-wise, it feels like there's no inflation here. I highly recommend it.

Two dishes, both were bad. Never again

We were there recently and weren't served for nearly 20 minutes because the waiters, who aren't really waiters (minors), had no idea what they were doing. They walked past you three times with a smile, without clearing your table, let alone taking your order! And when you ask, you get an unfriendly response telling you to keep quiet. So if you can't afford proper waiters, you might as well just leave it. It's anything but customer-oriented! It's not acceptable. We can't say anything about the food because of this. The atmosphere is nice, at least on the terrace.

We feel very comfortable here. The owner is so funny, there's always something to laugh about. The food is delicious. Superb quality. The seating is lovely both inside and out.

The best Thai food I’ve had in 13 years! I lived in Los Angeles for many years, and was a regular in Thai Town there. Nothing has compared since, until my husband and I had the good fortune to try Orchidee last night. Everything was fantastic—the fresh rolls, papaya salad, curry and noodles. Great service, nice atmosphere too. While they may not have access to all Thai ingredients, the chef knows how to make excellent substitutions. Top notch!

The waiter was so unfriendly and the food wasn't fresh. I got stomach pain and diarrhea afterward.

Always delicious and fresh. The price-performance ratio is more than fair, and the service and owners are super friendly and relaxed. You can choose the spiciness level yourself. The papaya salad and red curry are especially delicious. An unreserved recommendation. PS: Reservations are recommended.

It tastes really good here! Ralph and I sometimes come here for an early dinner. And we always eat the same thing. Duck with fried noodles (Ralph), Laotian chicken in batter with vegetables (me). It's sensational how the kitchen manages to create the delicately crispy chicken dish. And what's in this delicious coconut sauce? I just didn't like the currant juice. I swear by Pfanner blackcurrant juice. But maybe it's not so easy to change suppliers in a restaurant?

Fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, nice owners. However, you should avoid dishes with duck, as the “meat” only consists of undef. Leftovers with fat and the crust only consists of breading... There are 3 log drinks: “Cuba Libre” Cola/rum/lime/ice cream for €9.90 an inedible one Failure: Non-carbonated Cola, Rum barely noticeable, too much ice.

Dead cockroaches were found in the kitchen below the dishwasher, under the work table and behind the free-standing refrigerator. A live cockroach was spotted on the floor in the mobile saladette area. Due to the conditions found, there was a risk of food contamination. Again...

What speaks in favor of the restaurant is the phenomenal price-performance ratio: sweet and sour duck for just under €11, everything else at €9-10. Portions are filling and taste good. Not great, but it lacks spice and some subtlety here and there, but good enough to make you feel happy that you were there. Service is outstanding; The service is friendly and humorous and works quickly. We always knew we saw each other. I was also happy to dine at a Thai restaurant that wasn't decorated all over with kitschy statues. The restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated. I would probably go somewhere else for a special meal. But for a relaxed lunch with friends, the orchid would definitely be the right choice.
