Best Vietnamese restaurant in Freiburg

Unfortunately, we waited a long time for our food, and it arrived at different times. The portion was okay, but not very large. Unfortunately, all our clothes smelled of food afterward. It was also disappointing that we were charged for the wrong drinks.

We had a pleasant evening. Unfortunately, it took a while before we could order drinks. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was interesting; it felt like sitting in a living room :)

A small and very fine restaurant. Since we live right nearby, we come here very often. After two years of frequent visits, I can say with complete conviction: it's one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I know. The staff is very friendly, the service is quick, and the food is absolutely fantastic.

As a Vietnamese person, I am writing this review while I am still eating because that is how good it is. We had the house specialty fried chicken with red curry and papaya salad which is not really traditional viet choice from our side, but they were amazing ! I wish I had tried pho or goi cuon as well. The chicken was perfectly fried and well seasoned with curry sauce. Papaya salad was also perfect and spicy as it should be. The portion size is also very good with the price. Love this restaurant and wish we lived here so I could come more often ❤️

A large selection of Vietnamese and Thai dishes, all fresh and delicious. The owner is incredibly warm and makes you feel immediately welcome. The cozy outdoor ambiance is also particularly nice. Highly recommended!

We have been there several times and have always been very satisfied. My husband doesn't always get full without a starter because the portions are medium-sized, but it's fresh and tasty and definitely worth it again and again.

Authentic food I like visiting this Vietnamese restaurant because the food is really delicious and tastes almost like the original. I particularly liked the papaya salad – it is very fresh, tasty and just the right amount of spicy. It's nice to see that many guests appreciate the restaurant. Unfortunately, there are also a few points that could be better. The service is sometimes a bit inattentive, which mars the experience a bit. In addition, the prices are relatively high, which I find a bit of a shame. Overall, however, a good choice if you want to enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

The service and the food are both top notch here. We ate here twice and tried 6 different dishes and some starters in total. The red (beef) and green curries (both chicken and beef) are really good. We really loved it here. We ordered a lot of food and the place is not expensive and portions are really good. Greetings from Malta :)

Lovely place, we enjoy the Phad Thai especially, but everything is nice and very reasonably priced. The chef grows her own spices in the garden, lots of chilis, thai basil and pak choi.

The papaya salad was incredibly fresh and crunchy. The green papaya had the perfect texture, and the fresh herbs like coriander and mint gave the salad a refreshing touch. The dressing made from lime juice, fish sauce, chilli and sugar was light but intensely flavored and complemented the flavors beautifully. The peanuts on top added a nice crunch. Overall, a light and tasty dish – highly recommended!

Very beautiful terrace designed with love. The spring rolls and satay skewers were very tasty. The peanut sauce was particularly a hit. The duck and chicken as well as the various vegetables and sauces were also great. Everything is completely different from the Asian uniformity. The service was also very friendly and attentive. My new favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Freiburg! The Pad Thai with shrimp is delicious and the Pho is also delicious! It's a shame that it's not in a more conspicuous place and perhaps only a few people know about this restaurant. I recommend it and hope that more customers come because the food really tastes so good!

We ordered a few dishes to pick up from VietnamQuan over the phone, the lady on the phone was super friendly and the food was ready to pick up 15 minutes later. The food was really great throughout! We also found the portions more than sufficient, but we cannot understand the reviews that describe small portions. The papaya salad was a delight, nice and spicy...it gives you a holiday feeling :). We will be back definitely!!

The restaurant is friendly and functionally furnished. My meal (number 26, chicken with peppers, etc.) was tasty and large enough, with fresh vegetables. The rice portion was a bit small. The food seems to be partly the same as at the famous Rose Restaurant, a little less excellent, but the service here is very friendly. Cheap at EUR 9.50. Toilets very clean.

Nice shop, very clean, inside it smells a bit like a wok snack. Sat outside in the sun and enjoyed delicious spicy Vietnamese curries. The papaya salad was very crunchy and transported us straight back to Southeast Asia, not cheap but definitely recommended! The food was also very good, portion sizes were rather small, perhaps because we ordered from the lunch menu? All in all, a clear recommendation for a good quick meal. Not the right address for a cozy get-together.

The best Pad Thai in Freiburg is here at Vietnam Quan! But everything else on the menu is delicious. The open kitchen is clean, as is the entire restaurant, and the employees are very attentive and friendly. The prices are also very low. Absolute recommendation!

The food is very tasty and the owners are extremely friendly. It is a mixture of snack bar and restaurant. You can easily pick up your food as there are a few parking spaces right in front of it. We had different dishes and all were very good. Papaya salad, glass noodle salad, soup, curry, Pad Thai, etc.

Das Essen war total lecker und der Preis ist angemessen. Draußen kann man gut sitzen. Außerdem war der Service wirklich freundlich. Wir werden dort auf jeden Fall wieder hingehen. Ich habe es geschafft, das Essen zum zweiten, dritten und vierten Mal mitzunehmen. Vor 2 Wochen habe ich das Menü ,,Vietnam Art Nummer 142” probiert. Es war auch sehr lecker und ich persönlich bestelle gerne mein Lieblingsmenü, das die Nummer 42 ist.

Gemütliches Restaurant, die auch wirklich die PHO Suppe getreu vietnamesischen Rezept und Kräuter kochen! Einfach Klasse ! :)
