A perfect campsite with everything you could wish for. Stylish bathrooms, functional water and electricity, and a very friendly and welcoming owner.
Stylish beer garden and restaurant with outstanding local cuisine (e.g., freshly hand-cut fries, not frozen), excellent, well-crafted beers, and an amazing selection of high-quality local wines.
At every corner, you can feel the attention to detail here.
Huge compliments, the HEI Camp is at the top of our list.
Super good service. Our young waiter took care of us throughout the evening. The food tasted really good and was fresh with good ingredients from Italy. Definitely recommended!
Excellent restaurant. Not your average restaurant; fresh ingredients with delicate flavors; the dishes are visually appealingly presented. The service leaves nothing to be desired. A good selection of wines (also available in 0.1 L and 0.2 L glasses). I would like to highlight the fact that wines by the glass are served at the table from the original bottle; this is by no means standard!
The menu changes approximately every three months.
The price/performance ratio is perfectly acceptable.
If you want to combine enjoyment, personality, and a touch of Nordic spirit, then there's no way around NØRDS.
As soon as you enter, you sense that NØRDS isn't just another modern restaurant, but a small, lovingly designed place with character. The interior is minimalist, clean, and tasteful—clear lines, subtle colors, and good materials. It's not cluttered, yet cozy, and the size of the restaurant makes you feel almost at home, but with that little extra. This makes the visit intimate and personal.
The noise level is at a comfortable level—conversations are possible without having to shout at each other, which makes the experience much more relaxed.
NØRDS is a pleasant surprise: a manageable menu, but not a one-size-fits-all approach. Here, Scandinavian cuisine meets regional ingredients and creative preparations, with attention to detail. Fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you notice that nothing is randomly put together.
The appetizers are often small taste experiences – balanced in flavor, fresh, and exciting. The main courses follow at a high level, with prices in this range being reasonable, considering the care taken and the depth of flavor you get.
The service is friendly, competent, and attentive – without being intrusive. You feel well advised, supported in your selection (not only of the dishes, but also of the wines), and the team exudes passion and commitment.
Price range: Mid-to-upper (approx. €31-50 per person) is appropriate. You won't get fast food here, but sophisticated cuisine, creative compositions, and a good selection of drinks. If you're willing to spend a little more, you'll get something special here.
Of course, there are a few aspects where NØRDS could still fine-tune:
• The restaurant isn't huge, and space is limited – latecomers should make a reservation to avoid having to wait or being stuck in a tight spot.
• Some guests have mentioned that small details – such as table stability or storage options for dishes between courses – could be improved. These things don't significantly detract from the experience, but they are noticeable if you pay attention.
• The menu changes or isn't huge – which is often a positive (focus, quality), but those looking for variety or more options might want to stop by more often to experience new dishes.
Conclusion: NØRDS is a great address in Düsseldorf for anyone looking for good food, creative cuisine, and a high-quality experience with heart. It's not a large restaurant, and it doesn't feel opulent, but that's precisely what makes it so charming: authenticity, quality, and an atmosphere you'll want to linger in. For a special evening with friends or just the two of you, it's a highly recommended choice.
Best bartender ever!
It was pouring rain, and we wanted an adult beverage. Omid Elias, aka Eli was just outstanding. From suggesting wine selections for me to making my husband the best Old Fashion he had ever had in his life, this is the place. I think we sat at the bar for over two hours.
Every few years one comes across an individual who can “make” your trip. Eli was it!
A spontaneous search yielded a fantastic result.
We think: Great location and a perfect end to our day in Düsseldorf.
The food was delicious. There was something for everyone.
