The food is delicious, but I find it very expensive, especially the toppings. However, I think the current prices for a portion with three toppings of your choice would be very reasonable.
They always seem a little overwhelmed, but their friendliness and charm are unbeatable. The food is amazing, meticulously prepared, and delicious. My only criticism would be the lighting. For such small spaces, wall lamps would be preferable to central ceiling lights. This would make the room feel larger and brighter. It's always a bit too dark, and energy-saving bulbs tend to be rather dreary than radiant. Some tables are almost completely dark… But overall, a gem.
Addendum (December 26, 2025) to the previous review. We visited for Christmas dinner after making a reservation in advance (absolutely necessary for holidays). We ordered wild boar roast. The portion was generous and very tasty. Delicious dumplings with red cabbage and wild boar roast with a very pleasant gamey flavor that wasn't overpowering.
Excellent value for money.
Highly recommended with a reservation.
A very cozy inn on the edge of the forest. We went there as a family for lunch. The place was very busy, so a reservation is strongly advised. Very friendly service and only short wait times for our order. The pre-warmed plates were a nice touch, so the food stayed warm for a long time. Very tasty food, well-seasoned, and the meat was incredibly tender. If you have a big appetite, you shouldn't skip the small appetizer.
This inn is highly recommended.
We were greeted warmly and a table was prepared for us even though we hadn't made a reservation.
Unfortunately, we had to wait quite a while for the food, and it wasn't piping hot, more like lukewarm. Having only one slice of bread per person was a bit unusual.
