As a wedding photographer, I've photographed several weddings at the Speisekammer in Dortmund, and it's definitely one of my favorite venues: A wonderful ambiance with lots of wood, stylish decor, and a country-house feel—every wedding guest is impressed when they look down the long hall along the banquet table. But it's not just the visuals that are impressive; the food is equally delicious: appetizers, main courses, and desserts alike. What truly makes the Speisekammer a perfect wedding venue in my eyes, however, is the fantastic on-site service team; always friendly, efficient, and working together seamlessly to ensure the wedding couples can enjoy their day even more! The ambiance and interior design are very pleasant. Quaint without being kitschy, it suits the region you're in. My previous experiences with meatloaf had been negative, but I gave this one another chance. It was absolutely worth it! Finally, I see how people can enjoy meatloaf – firm to the bite yet tender, with a very good sauce. I deducted half a star (which isn't possible here) because the spaetzle served with the meatloaf were very oily. Nevertheless, the food was very good. In retrospect, I wish I had left a bigger tip, as the service was incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive. She struck just the right rhythm between checking in and passing by, even though my table wasn't visible from the counter. The lady's friendly smile was infectious!

Like a good old-fashioned canteen. You don't always have to eat in a fancy restaurant. The food here is simply delicious, and the prices are right. Pizza Friday is divine! 😍 And all the other dishes are excellent. Keep up the good work!

Super small, friendly location, delicious lunch menu.

It may not have been the most delicious pizza I've ever eaten, but it was really tasty. The sauce had a rather strange taste, I've never tasted it before, like sour cream with herbs and cucumbers, but I liked it. Will I come back here again? I think so, because neither the taste of the pizza nor the service disappointed me.

Each of us ordered five cevapi to go, served in a flatbread with ajvar, fresh cucumbers, onions, cabbage, and tomatoes, as well as some spicy seasoning (optional). The cevapi were freshly prepared for us, so they weren't hot and ready to eat, which I personally appreciated. For €7, we had a delicious snack.

I can highly recommend the Frankenfladen. Quaint atmosphere and friendly owner. I'll definitely be back.

A small, charming bistro. I received a very friendly welcome and was allowed to choose my own table. The food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. You could tell immediately that everything was freshly cooked! The head cheese was fantastic, definitely homemade! If you're looking for a proper breakfast or lunch, this is the place to go!

I went there today for the first time, very spontaneously. Wow!!!! The food was incredibly delicious, all the ingredients were fresh, and since I was a newcomer, the lady explained everything very, very kindly. I'll definitely be back – simply unbelievably delicious. Thank you!!!!

Today I ordered two different dishes for the first time. My conclusion: The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The delivery service was punctual and friendly!
