Unfortunately, this time we had a very negative experience at Kamizu, a restaurant we used to frequent.
Why did we get an uncomfortable table at the edge of the empty restaurant?
The tables were decorated only with a lonely little cactus and a boring tea light.
There was no sparkling wine for a toast, only by the bottle! Very disappointing. Water was also only available in large bottles; no glass of water, no small bottles?!
Very disappointing.
The salad was delicious as always. The vegan burger was cold, far too heavy on the coriander and pineapple. It wasn't nearly as tasty as it used to be, and the bun was quite hard.
Very disappointing.
An extraordinary evening. From the moment we arrived until the very last moment, simply brilliant. Pleasant conversations with the owner and other guests. Delicious food. And the owner's favorite rum. The owner is a natural. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for this wonderful experience.
A true gem in the Osnabrück region, well worth the long journey! You'll be greeted with a quirky yet warm welcome and find your place amidst dollhouse furniture, old radios, and kitchen appliances.
But you won't have much time to linger over these treasures, as the menu spoils you for choice. Everything is simply delicious and lovingly prepared. The wait is shortened by a welcome from the chef and, if desired, a crisp, hearty salad. Everything is just right here – including the value for money. We'll definitely be back!
We discovered this restaurant through the Barometer book with the voucher for 2 for 1 main courses. There were four of us with two books, which wasn't a problem.
The owner (?) was very friendly and attentive.
We opted for the two platters (vegetarian/meat) each for two people.
The vegetarian platter was very good, the meat platter was similar, with a little (quite a bit of meat, one was beef... but no one could figure out the other), otherwise the platters were identical.
The injera arrived without any problems and was really delicious.
Rather unassuming from the outside, but very cozy inside.
We were very surprised to find such a lovely restaurant in Kronach, one that truly lives up to its name. The service is outstanding, thank you so much! The food is absolutely delicious. Everything was perfect.
Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Unfortunately a bad first time :( We were irritated that the food from the Italian restaurant across the street was brought over by the waiters on plates (half-uncovered). The fillet - for 40 euros after all - was very thick and raw inside. We passed it on straight away and it was then carried back and forth across the street again. The same piece of meat (this time with over-salted fries) was cooked all the way through even though the order had explicitly stated that it should be medium. It was practically barely edible but we were still charged the full price. The explanation for the maneuver on the street was that the chef was ill and would pass the rest on to the manager. That shouldn't happen, we won't be going back. What a shame.
We spontaneously decided to eat here today and were delighted: a very warm welcome, prompt service, a wide selection of Indian dishes – and, importantly for us, flexibility regarding spice levels. The food was excellent, and the live Christmas music encouraged us to stay a little longer. Definitely not our last visit :)
