Very good restaurant with a very nice innkeeper, we had schnitzel and burgers and it tasted very good 🤤

We were there with a larger group and were able to make a reservation the day before. When we arrived, it was quite busy despite our reserved seats. The service was wonderful. The lady took such good care of us. The food was fantastic - all the plates were beautifully presented and everyone enjoyed their meal. But the point deduction still applies. - If you don't know anything about cocktails 🍸, you should leave it and order them from the menu. We ordered several cocktails on our first order and waited 20 minutes for each one because the staff member or staff members kept looking questioningly at the other colleagues. The taste was really not good. The cocktail bar in the restaurant is so visible that you'd think they were proud of it. Maybe one of the staff members was missing that day - I can't judge, but then I won't offer it. €8.50 per cocktail is a lot of money these days. Otherwise, pure praise. A big plus point that I rarely experience – my clothes didn't smell of food at home!!! Despite the open kitchen! I'll be back when I'm in Koblenz.

We spontaneously got a place without a reservation on a Friday evening, but were lucky that someone had just left, I would recommend a reservation. The food was down-to-earth, delicious and the portions were big enough to fill you up and it was cheap. The service was friendly, prompt and not intrusive. It's a typical "village economy", but in a positive sense, we felt very comfortable! The price-performance ratio is excellent!

Wir hatten uns da mehr vorgestellt....Wir waren nach telefonischer Tischreservierung um 17.50 Uhr da und haben das angeblich legendäre Hähnchen bestellt und haben fast eine Stunde darauf gewartet. Die halben Hähnchen waren maximal pro ganzem Hähnchen 800 g. Es war lecker, aber ein ausgewachsener Mann mit gutem Appetit wäre noch nicht einmal von zwei halben Hähnchen satt geworden. Das geht nicht, und wir kommen nicht mehr wieder.

We found the “Balkan Restaurant” by chance. The restaurant is quaint, just like it used to be, but everything is clean and now beautifully decorated for Christmas time. The innkeeper is very nice and you don't have to wait long for your drinks and food. The way it tastes is that the food is freshly prepared. The food was delicious. There is something on the menu to suit every taste. The portions are generous and the price is right. A visit to the Balkan restaurant is definitely worth it. We will definitely come back again.
