I'm only evaluating the gastronomy here: The Idarer Hof is one of the last restaurants in Idar-Oberstein that still deserves this name! Nice place, affordable prices. Inconvenient ordering system - first only drinks, then only food. While waiting for dessert, the coffee got cold. The pizza was brought, not cut, carelessly thrown on the table on the menu. Empty dishes are not removed until you leave the restaurant. Unfortunately, the visit left an unpleasant impression.

Food was ok, ambience too, the young lady who served us was perfect.

Best pizza in the world because made over an open flame, brilliant spit roast, super friendly!

I picked up a cream schnitzel earlier. Arrived home, opened the package and lo and behold, the portions are almost halved and sauce is suspected here. Unfortunately, the schnitzels also taste like frozen goods (that wasn't always the case). We already had an order in February, here it was the panini. Portion also halved and panini shrunk. On top of that, prices have risen by what feels like 20 percent. We used to order and pick up here every day. Now the whole thing is finally over. For the money you're better off sitting in the Kammerhof and getting a schnitzel from the local butcher for the same money and a double portion.

Really delicious food at reasonable prices for what you get. We had spit roast pork loin and liver and were thrilled. Meat perfectly presented and simply delicious. The atmosphere is super quaint and totally fits the menu. The service was super nice and gave us tips on what we could do here during the day. Highly recommended!

Very hygienic and clean, beautiful modern shop. everything is fresh, the kebab tastes super tasty and fresh Pizza is also really tasty and really great.

Cozy and warm place, perfect for hearty winter meals and a beverage if you choose. Also lovely in the summertime out in the plaza with a group of family, friends, or colleagues. Helpful waitstaff, delicious food, and an updated/modern rustic feel.

Very good schnitzels and a rustic but cozy atmosphere - also nice with children in summer.
