Very friendly service Nice brewery atmosphere The roast beef was a bit tough, but juicy.

A very pleasant and inviting atmosphere. We were delighted by our delicious food, but especially by the exceptionally prompt service. We chose to dine outside, and on this wonderful Sunday, a wonderful warm breeze greeted us. Parking is also free on Sundays. A special highlight is the small play area for children right in the restaurant.

Wonderful meal. Meat so tender, Tafel Spitz sauce to die for. Wife had Gulasch and also was fantastic. Tender . No knife need here

The brewery does not brew its own beer.

I was just dining there alone and was neither noticed nor served after taking my order. I was also treated rudely in general. My drink was long gone, and my empty plate sat on the table for half the time I was there. I had to clearly signal my presence several times to be given the opportunity to pay, let alone order something new.

Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and super delicious food. We had a cordon bleu and a schnitzel with cream sauce. Both were perfectly prepared. You can't do better.

The food was good, as was the service, and the room was nice. Unfortunately, there was only one women's restroom on the ground floor, which also served as an accessible restroom—not enough.

We went to the Idarer Brauhaus for dinner today after visiting the Gemstone Museum. It was quite busy, so it took a while for us to get our menus and then our drinks. The waitresses had a slightly gruff tone for the area, but they were kind-hearted nonetheless. We waited about 45 minutes for our food. The kids entertained themselves in the small children's corner by the spiral staircase. The wait was worth it. The crispy roast pork with crackling is highly recommended. The kids had fish sticks and cheese spaetzle. Everything was delicious.

The food was okay, nothing special. What's annoying is that they don't serve a side salad with the meal, which costs an extra €5. It was also quite loud, even though the restaurant wasn't fully booked. The acoustics aren't great. The children's play area might be a nice idea, but it's also loud and disruptive to a conversation at the table. I don't quite understand why a restaurant needs a play area. Since it's pretty loud overall, everyone has to talk loudly, which only makes it louder.

Good food with very friendly service. Prices are OK.

We had dinner here while in town. We wanted German food, and this was a good choice. It was quite busy, but we didn't have to wait long for our meals. The waitress was really nice, spoke good English, asked if everything was okay, and we felt well-cared for. The food itself was very tasty; we ordered a child's portion of fish fingers, and the adults had the Spatzle and Frycel Pizza, which were surprisingly very good. I regret that I was only passing through. I recommend it.

Unfortunately, the spaetzle was overcooked, the salad dressing was forgotten, and the fries were dry. Apart from the goat cheese patties, everything wasn't what it could have been. Unfortunately, the value for money wasn't right for me either. The ambiance and service were top-notch!

Only recommended as a beer garden. The food is poor and served with ready-made sauces. The saying "Waiter, what can you recommend?" applies. The answer: another restaurant. The service is very friendly and attentive.

An einem Freitag Abend wurden im gesamte Brauhaus wegen einer privaten Veranstaltung andere Gäste nicht bedient - aus unserer Sicht ein absolute NoGo :-( Zudem wurden wir äußerst unfreundlich heraus gebeten, besser gesagt rausgeworfen. Nie wieder Brauhaus Idar!

Expected more based on the reviews than what we experienced: Received a very greasy schnitzel with bone-dry fries. Definitely not recommended. Little choice and a very sloppy menu was handed to us. (2 separate sheets) and a dirty, filthy folder with 2 sheets (in a plastic sleeve) with an unclear layout. The asparagus soup was very tasty but very salty. There was no riding school set available and the mayonnaise was taken out of the service pocket by the waiter: "Oh, you want mayonnaise? Okay, here it is." and was thrown next to your plate. Too bad for the money, this brewery was definitely not worth it.

We came in spontaneously with 8 people and the young waitress immediately tried to accommodate us. She opened the top floor especially for us. She was super friendly, really hard working and attentive. Food was very tasty 😊

Cozy home feeling. They have a clearly marked vegetarian menu which I think is great. I ordered the spinach dumplings. The dumplings themselves were delicious. There was also a little butter, but in general it was all a bit too dry for me. A sauce with it would have been good. The prices for drinks and food are quite expensive. Practical for people with children, because they have converted a corner behind the spiral staircase into a children's corner.

After our visit to the beautiful gemstone museum, we looked for a local inn - and luckily found it! As soon as we entered we felt welcome: friendly, attentive service and a cozy atmosphere. The side salad looked so fresh and lovingly prepared that we knew immediately: the main course would be just as great. And we weren't disappointed! I had cheese spaetzle with homemade fried onions, my friend had the schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce - both dishes were perfectly prepared and delicious. Plus a cold beer – simply a pleasure! This inn rounded off our day perfectly, we were completely happy. A real insider tip – we’ll definitely be back! 🥰

The service was very good and friendly. I've never experienced a brewery where the (dark) beer ran out before... I was looking forward to that after a long hike... The food was good, but I wouldn't order the burger with the "special sauce" again; that pink sauce absolutely doesn't belong on a burger. We didn't have a reservation and were seated next to the only occupied table of four in a completely empty restaurant, which I found a bit of a shame, as all the tables remained empty except for one until we left. A little more "privacy" would have been nicer in this situation. These are all just suggestions, not criticisms. All in all, it was fine. The friendly waitress made up for it.

The food was fine and we couldn't complain. The price was completely within the framework and the value for money was great. However, the service was extremely good, very attentive but not too intrusive. The food also came very quickly.

We went to the brewery for lunch as a couple. My wife ordered a game burger. The venison burger was so tough that it was almost impossible to cut it into bite-sized pieces with the knives provided. my food, Mushroom cream schnitzel with fried potatoes was okay.

The atmosphere is typical of a brewery, cozy, the service was very friendly and the food was very good. We had a seasonal Hokaido soup, tagliatelle with salmon, a beef steak with melted onions and salad. Great quality, the food was cooked properly with reasonable sauces and tasted great. We'll definitely come again. A small point of criticism was the dessert, Kaiserschmarrn with plum roaster. It tasted very good, but unfortunately it wasn't the original Kaiserschmarrn, more of an almond biscuit, but nevertheless very tasty.

Unfortunately, service was not at all interested in complaining about the food. Steak fibrous and too dry. My roast pork tasted rancid. Thought that at least the dessert was good: Conclusion: perhaps stored incorrectly? It tasted as if it hadn't been stored separately, but had been left uncovered in the cold storage with other things. Really had a disgusting aftertaste. Kitchen and service totally failed. I wouldn't recommend.

Cozy and warm place, perfect for hearty winter meals and a beverage if you choose. Also lovely in the summertime out in the plaza with a group of family, friends, or colleagues. Helpful waitstaff, delicious food, and an updated/modern rustic feel.

Service is different. Some of the soup was spilled on the way to the table. This happened when a dog was startled. Soup on the floor, plates smeared. Can happen. I wasn't even asked if it was okay and if I wanted to eat the soup. The plate and bread were simply placed on the other side of the table and only the soup on the floor was taken care of. Yes, I ate the soup because I was hungry and it probably didn't even occur to the waitress to at least ask. Service is different and I'm annoyed with myself for not saying anything in the restaurant. I won't need it again any time soon.

Top local. The food is very good and friendly service. In the evening you should make a reservation. We like to go there. Is recommended.

Beautiful, cozy brewery in the heart of Idar-Oberstein. We had the Brauhaus Burger twice and the “crispy” crusted roast once. Unfortunately, the portions weren't really big and the crusty roast wasn't crispy at all, it was rather limp.

The food tasted really good, the non-alcoholic cocktails not so much. The toilet (only 1!) including changing facilities wasn't that great.

We were there today on September 5th, the food was excellent, we had beef beer goulash which was quite tender and without fat with three dumplings and a sausage salad which was even served with fried potatoes. Everything tasted excellent, we each had two wines, which was also very tasty and what we liked best was the friendly service! A very, very nice and communicative person, thank you very much again for the nice service! Greetings from mom and daughter from Paderborn!

We have been eating at the Idarer Brauhaus for two years. At the beginning everything was very good: ambience, food, service. But it continued to decline. The food can only be compared to a snack: quick, boring, without pizzazz and tasteless. The atmosphere, especially in the outdoor area, is sad. Put dried plants in pots, open a parasol; only in an emergency. But the weeds are growing everywhere! The service was friendly, it has to be said. When I asked if there was a ban on watering the plants, I was told “no, not really.” But no one noticed how bad it looked! Too bad! There is a lot that can be improved with very simple means! I can't say whether the food is the same!

Schönes Ambiente, freundliches Personal. Das Essen ist ok. Die warme Küche ist pausenlos. Man kann immer zwischendurch etwas Essen gehen 👍

The Brauhausschnitzel was a joke for the price, totally overpriced, almost nothing on the plate and not tasty.

We always enjoy going to the Idarer Brauhaus. The food and beer (Augustiner and Tegernseer taste delicious) are very good, the service is friendly. But... The portions have shrunk extremely since the beginning of the year and have become expensive. Which man would want to be full with 5 pieces of meat in a goulash and two mini dumplings? The schnitzels are also more like children's schnitzels. The Brauhaus Burger is really tasty, but only a small handful of fries is rather “manageable”. 😒

Wir waren schon öfter im Brauhaus zu Abend essen. Meist mit 5 Personen und waren BISHER immer überaus zufrieden. Die Portionen waren reichlich, das Essen war sehr lecker und von sehr guter Qualität, auch optisch sehr schön angerichtet. Preis/Leistung stimmte absolut. Das eine Angestellte (Restaurantleitung??) stets etwas mürrisch daherkam...hiervon konnten wir bedingt durch das tolle Essen absehen;-) Der reichliche Beilagensalat (inklusive!) war ein Gedicht. Ja....WAR...leider!!! Nun waren wir ca ein dreiviertel Jahr nicht mehr hier und freuten uns sehr auf den Besuch. Beim Betrachten der Speisekarte fiel uns schon auf, dass einige Speisen nicht mehr aufgeführt waren. Auch die Preiserhöhung war zu ersehen ( zunächst mal nicht verwunderlich....Fleischpreise; alles teurer geworden). Allerdings waren wir schon sehr verdutzt, als NICHT wie gewohnt der tolle Beilagensalat, sondern gleich die Hauptspeise serviert wurde...und....diese um ca die Hälfte geschrumpft!!!! Ich hatte das Cordon Bleu, welches sonst doppelt so groß war. Auch an den Pommes wurde gespart, Garnierung für's Auge Fehlanzeige, Preiselbeeren zunächst gefehlt....also hätte ich dolle Hunger gehabt, wäre ich nicht satt geworden. Leider war auch die F,eischqualität nicht wie sonst. Für ein Essen wie sonst dort gewöhnt, hätte ich unter den gegebenen Umständen der heutigen Zeit gerne 3-4 € pro Essen mehr gezahlt....aber teurer, weniger Qualität und große Einsparung an der Menge ( und weniger Auswahl/ Speisekarte)...das geht nicht!!!!! Wir waren sehr enttäuscht und überlegen noch stark, ob wir dem Brauhaus nochmal eine Chance geben wollen oder nicht!!! Auf Anfrage der jungen, freundlichen Bedienung hin, wäre die Speisekarte wohl Anfang des Jahres geändert worden. Den Salat müsse man sich nun extra bestellen.....weiter fragten wir die junge Frau nicht, kam uns so vor, als sei ihr dies sehr unangenehm....evtl nicht die erste Rückfrage bezüglich der 'Veränderungen' im Brauhaus!?! Wäre schön, wenn die Inhaber dies alles nochmal überdenken könnten!!! Gerne würden wir wieder kommen, aber nicht unter diesen Umständen:-(

Food was very tasty, staff was very friendly and quick. We sat outside, but due to the location right on the traffic circle it was a bit noisy. But we sat under a tree in the bright sunshine that gave us shade. We could cope with the car noise. We would eat there again.

Pancakes with strawberries and ice cream were very tasty, with coffee with milk. Prices reasonable.

Discovered it by chance on Google and decided to test the brewery. And lo and behold, a great, rustic restaurant with a really great play area for the kids and friendly service. The lady told us to have the children's food delivered as a starter and then our food later. And the tip was great. We were able to enjoy our meal in peace and the kids continued to play in the play area. We ordered the large salad with yogurt dressing and mushrooms and the Jägerschnitzel and for the kids the kids menu with fish fingers. There was enough salad in quantity and very tasty. Schnitzel was fresh and with crispy fries and the kids were also very happy with their fish fingers. The only point of criticism relates to the mushrooms ordered with the salad, which cost an additional charge of 4 euros. This can also be cheaper or the portion should be larger. And you might expect home-brewed beer from a brewery, which wasn't the case. The beer was the Bitburger brand and I would expect that they already sell beer from the region, for example. Kirner beer. Price-performance ratio was okay and the food tasted good. Towards midday it got busier and the atmosphere and hecticness of the service became a little more stressed.

Very nice staff, The dishes looked very appetizing, but I only drank a coffee. I thought the price for the coffee was a bit high at €3.50 but it was tasty😂 The restaurant has a beautiful design and you can sit comfortably inside or outside.
