Lecker bodenständig, sehr sehr freundlich. Leider an einer recht lauten Straße gelegen.

Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Besonders empfehlenswert ist meiner Meinung nach das Brauhaus-Schnitzel. Service war gut, nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Highlight ist natürlich das frisch gezapfte Augustiner vom Fass, Genuss pur. Auch das Ambiente im klassischen Brauhaus-Stil ist sehr ansehnlich. Wir kommen immer gerne wieder.

Essen war ok. Der Koch war etwas verliebt. Bedienung langsam aber alle sehr nett.

Wir waren hier zum Mittagessen. Das Essen war gut. Schnitzel mit Kroketten. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war angemessen. Wir wurden satt. Nicht zuviel, nicht zu wenig. Perfekt. Unsere Bedingung war super freundlich. Wir fühlten uns willkommen. Auch Babies sind gern gesehen. Am Nachbartisch saßen zwei junge Mamas mit ihren Kindern. Wir empfehlen einen Besuch.

Wir haben köstlich gegessen! Das Schnitzel ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Natürlich gab es auch ein Spargelmenü, aber ich bin ausgespargelt und entschied mich für ein traditionelleres Mittagessen, zum Beispiel Geschnetzeltes und Schnitzel. Beides war ausgezeichnet.

Wir waren mit der Familie dort. Das Essen war wirklich lecker. Das Fleisch war perfekt. Die Bedienung freundlich und schnell. Es gibt sogar eine kleine Spielecke für Kinder. Das Ambiente ist brauhaustypisch rustikal. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Klassische Deutsche Hausmannskost. Super leckere Schnitzel und Bratengerichte. Auch eine vegetarische Laugenpizza gibt es welche sehr sehr lecker war. Selbstgebrautes Bier schmeckt auch einwandfrei.

Wir waren das erste Mal dort. Und es war alles sehr gut. Essen wie auch der Service sehr nett. Wir sind von Zweibrücken und werden wieder hin fahren

Very cozy atmosphere, friendly service, food nicely presented, but the wedges were too dark, as were the burger buns, and the price-performance ratio was only average at best. Great selection of dishes, lots of vegetarian options!

A brewery that unfortunately doesn't brew its own beer. Our goulash was a bit tough, but the service was very friendly.

Due to a lack of alternatives in the Idar district, we ate there: bread dumplings with chanterelles. There were a grand total of seven pieces of chanterelle in the sauce; you really had to search for them. At €15, it was completely overpriced and also tasteless. The beer selection was good if you like Bavarian beer: Tegernseer and Augustiner, two really good beers. The atmosphere was also pleasant. We'll come back, less for the food and more for the drinks.

A beautiful inn with a rustic interior. Definitely not to everyone's taste, but I personally like it very much. The service is good, but unfortunately not seamless. Some things were asked for several times and then forgotten or brought incorrectly. The quality of the food is worth the price. The portion sizes are debatable. My female companion, who would have been overwhelmed even with a child's plate, devoured her whole meal. There could hardly be a clearer sign. But ultimately, it was a pleasant stay with good food and drink. And that's all that matters. So, I'd gladly go back. ... and with an appetizer, then. 😉

Bavarian food in a stylish atmosphere

A very pleasant and inviting atmosphere. We were delighted by our delicious food, but especially by the exceptionally prompt service. We chose to dine outside, and on this wonderful Sunday, a wonderful warm breeze greeted us. Parking is also free on Sundays. A special highlight is the small play area for children right in the restaurant.

Wonderful meal. Meat so tender, Tafel Spitz sauce to die for. Wife had Gulasch and also was fantastic. Tender . No knife need here

I was just dining there alone and was neither noticed nor served after taking my order. I was also treated rudely in general. My drink was long gone, and my empty plate sat on the table for half the time I was there. I had to clearly signal my presence several times to be given the opportunity to pay, let alone order something new.

Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and super delicious food. We had a cordon bleu and a schnitzel with cream sauce. Both were perfectly prepared. You can't do better.

We went to the Idarer Brauhaus for dinner today after visiting the Gemstone Museum. It was quite busy, so it took a while for us to get our menus and then our drinks. The waitresses had a slightly gruff tone for the area, but they were kind-hearted nonetheless. We waited about 45 minutes for our food. The kids entertained themselves in the small children's corner by the spiral staircase. The wait was worth it. The crispy roast pork with crackling is highly recommended. The kids had fish sticks and cheese spaetzle. Everything was delicious.

The food was good, as was the service, and the room was nice. Unfortunately, there was only one women's restroom on the ground floor, which also served as an accessible restroom—not enough.

The food was okay, nothing special. What's annoying is that they don't serve a side salad with the meal, which costs an extra €5. It was also quite loud, even though the restaurant wasn't fully booked. The acoustics aren't great. The children's play area might be a nice idea, but it's also loud and disruptive to a conversation at the table. I don't quite understand why a restaurant needs a play area. Since it's pretty loud overall, everyone has to talk loudly, which only makes it louder.

Good food with very friendly service. Prices are OK.

We had dinner here while in town. We wanted German food, and this was a good choice. It was quite busy, but we didn't have to wait long for our meals. The waitress was really nice, spoke good English, asked if everything was okay, and we felt well-cared for. The food itself was very tasty; we ordered a child's portion of fish fingers, and the adults had the Spatzle and Frycel Pizza, which were surprisingly very good. I regret that I was only passing through. I recommend it.

Only recommended as a beer garden. The food is poor and served with ready-made sauces. The saying "Waiter, what can you recommend?" applies. The answer: another restaurant. The service is very friendly and attentive.

Unfortunately, the spaetzle was overcooked, the salad dressing was forgotten, and the fries were dry. Apart from the goat cheese patties, everything wasn't what it could have been. Unfortunately, the value for money wasn't right for me either. The ambiance and service were top-notch!

An einem Freitag Abend wurden im gesamte Brauhaus wegen einer privaten Veranstaltung andere Gäste nicht bedient - aus unserer Sicht ein absolute NoGo :-( Zudem wurden wir äußerst unfreundlich heraus gebeten, besser gesagt rausgeworfen. Nie wieder Brauhaus Idar!

Expected more based on the reviews than what we experienced: Received a very greasy schnitzel with bone-dry fries. Definitely not recommended. Little choice and a very sloppy menu was handed to us. (2 separate sheets) and a dirty, filthy folder with 2 sheets (in a plastic sleeve) with an unclear layout. The asparagus soup was very tasty but very salty. There was no riding school set available and the mayonnaise was taken out of the service pocket by the waiter: "Oh, you want mayonnaise? Okay, here it is." and was thrown next to your plate. Too bad for the money, this brewery was definitely not worth it.

Cozy home feeling. They have a clearly marked vegetarian menu which I think is great. I ordered the spinach dumplings. The dumplings themselves were delicious. There was also a little butter, but in general it was all a bit too dry for me. A sauce with it would have been good. The prices for drinks and food are quite expensive. Practical for people with children, because they have converted a corner behind the spiral staircase into a children's corner.

After our visit to the beautiful gemstone museum, we looked for a local inn - and luckily found it! As soon as we entered we felt welcome: friendly, attentive service and a cozy atmosphere. The side salad looked so fresh and lovingly prepared that we knew immediately: the main course would be just as great. And we weren't disappointed! I had cheese spaetzle with homemade fried onions, my friend had the schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce - both dishes were perfectly prepared and delicious. Plus a cold beer – simply a pleasure! This inn rounded off our day perfectly, we were completely happy. A real insider tip – we’ll definitely be back! 🥰

The service was very good and friendly. I've never experienced a brewery where the (dark) beer ran out before... I was looking forward to that after a long hike... The food was good, but I wouldn't order the burger with the "special sauce" again; that pink sauce absolutely doesn't belong on a burger. We didn't have a reservation and were seated next to the only occupied table of four in a completely empty restaurant, which I found a bit of a shame, as all the tables remained empty except for one until we left. A little more "privacy" would have been nicer in this situation. These are all just suggestions, not criticisms. All in all, it was fine. The friendly waitress made up for it.

1 star deducted because it's not a real brewery. Although there is delicious beer and an atmosphere like a brewery, there is no home-brewed beer.

The food was fine and we couldn't complain. The price was completely within the framework and the value for money was great. However, the service was extremely good, very attentive but not too intrusive. The food also came very quickly.

We went to the brewery for lunch as a couple. My wife ordered a game burger. The venison burger was so tough that it was almost impossible to cut it into bite-sized pieces with the knives provided. my food, Mushroom cream schnitzel with fried potatoes was okay.

The atmosphere is typical of a brewery, cozy, the service was very friendly and the food was very good. We had a seasonal Hokaido soup, tagliatelle with salmon, a beef steak with melted onions and salad. Great quality, the food was cooked properly with reasonable sauces and tasted great. We'll definitely come again. A small point of criticism was the dessert, Kaiserschmarrn with plum roaster. It tasted very good, but unfortunately it wasn't the original Kaiserschmarrn, more of an almond biscuit, but nevertheless very tasty.

Unfortunately, service was not at all interested in complaining about the food. Steak fibrous and too dry. My roast pork tasted rancid. Thought that at least the dessert was good: Conclusion: perhaps stored incorrectly? It tasted as if it hadn't been stored separately, but had been left uncovered in the cold storage with other things. Really had a disgusting aftertaste. Kitchen and service totally failed. I wouldn't recommend.

No excuses Food and drinks great. You won't find anything like that in the region. Please continue like this. Respect!

Cozy and warm place, perfect for hearty winter meals and a beverage if you choose. Also lovely in the summertime out in the plaza with a group of family, friends, or colleagues. Helpful waitstaff, delicious food, and an updated/modern rustic feel.

Service is different. Some of the soup was spilled on the way to the table. This happened when a dog was startled. Soup on the floor, plates smeared. Can happen. I wasn't even asked if it was okay and if I wanted to eat the soup. The plate and bread were simply placed on the other side of the table and only the soup on the floor was taken care of. Yes, I ate the soup because I was hungry and it probably didn't even occur to the waitress to at least ask. Service is different and I'm annoyed with myself for not saying anything in the restaurant. I won't need it again any time soon.

Top local. The food is very good and friendly service. In the evening you should make a reservation. We like to go there. Is recommended.

Beautiful, cozy brewery in the heart of Idar-Oberstein. We had the Brauhaus Burger twice and the “crispy” crusted roast once. Unfortunately, the portions weren't really big and the crusty roast wasn't crispy at all, it was rather limp.

The food tasted really good, the non-alcoholic cocktails not so much. The toilet (only 1!) including changing facilities wasn't that great.

Roast tender and crispy, lots of sauce. Very good pilsner on tap (Lahnsteiner).

We were there today on September 5th, the food was excellent, we had beef beer goulash which was quite tender and without fat with three dumplings and a sausage salad which was even served with fried potatoes. Everything tasted excellent, we each had two wines, which was also very tasty and what we liked best was the friendly service! A very, very nice and communicative person, thank you very much again for the nice service! Greetings from mom and daughter from Paderborn!
