Have the owners changed? Unfortunately, it doesn't taste as good as it used to. Portion sizes are good. The food isn't bad, but unfortunately, it's not as great as it used to be.

Great location, excellent food and really great and courteous service. We had a really nice evening. Thank you very much, especially for the spontaneous, barrier-free relocation to the ground floor.

We ate there for the first time, had pork fillet medallions in pepper sauce (gravy with 3 peppercorns), one of the pieces of meat was almost raw. The salad beforehand, very little. My husband's grill plate wasn't a highlight either. Meatball way too salty. We won't eat there again.

I always enjoy enjoying food and drinks in a harmonious, cozy atmosphere. Very friendly owners, great cook. A restaurant where it is not as loud as is usual today. My intolerances and associated special requests could always be taken into account. In summer, enjoying outside is an additional highlight. I now feel like I'm coming home for dinner. Thank you for that. Yes, when it comes to prices, I can say that it is actually more expensive in the north of Essen.

It doesn't necessarily have to be, there are a lot of better restaurants in there Cologne.

The beer vs. wine tasting was super exciting and a successful evening

We were there today by chance; Didn't make a reservation but managed to get a seat despite the restaurant being busy. The staff was super nice and accommodating. The food was first class. It tasted great; we were very satisfied.

Schon der Empfang war herzlich und einladenden. Die netten Damen vom Service nahmen uns die Garderobe ab und führten uns zum geschmackvoll gedeckten Tisch. Nach dem sehr guten Aperitif, Bollinger Spezial Cuvée und hausgemachten Himbeer Cocktail kam die ausgezeichneten Weinkarte. Offensichtlich ist Frau Erfurth ein hervorragende Somelierin, den Karte zeugt vom liebe zu dem Beruf und ist keine bloße Auflistung großer überteuerter Namen. Wir hatten zwei Flaschen eines 2016er Riesling Spätlese trocken von Geheimrat J aus dem Rheingau. Eine geschmackliche Offenbarung mit Duft vom weißen Pfirsich, angenehm mineralisch und feinen Zitrusnoten, und wie alles an dem Abend ein beeindruckendes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Der Gruß aus der Küche ließ schon auf den weitern Verlauf schließen. Ein zartes Roastbeef mit eingelegter Gewürzgurke und ein passend leicht säuerlichen Mayonnaise. Die Vorspeise, Hamburger von Reibeplätzchen mit Lachs, dazu ein frischer Feldsalat mit ein süßlich säuerlichen, sehr harmonischen Vinegret und passend zu dem ganzen eine sehr ausgewogene Remoulade. Unter allen Highlights war mein persönlicher das Zander Supreme mit Erbsenrisotto und Erbsenpüree. Essen das alle Sinne beansprucht aber nicht überfordert. Jede Beschreibung meinerseits würde ihm nicht gerecht werden. Eine Meerrettichsauce die Standards setzt gab es zum Tafelspitz, Harmonie der Würze mit Fleisch at its best. Dem ganzen Gericht, wie auch den Anderen merkte man, dass der seine eigene Handschrift hat und mit Herz und Seele kocht. Das Dessert, Vahlrohne Schokolade und Himbeereis schloss das viergängige Menü mit einer Geschmacksexplosion im Gaumen ab. Sehr schön finde das dieses Restaurant in jeder Hinsicht auf unnötigen Schnickschnack und Chichi verzichtet. Hervorragender unaufdringlicher Service. Wir haben aus dem Menü ein Gericht ausgetauscht. Trotzdem wurde kein a la Carte Preis berechnet. Das Portionen sind echt groß. Wir sind alle keine Kostverächter, aber zu kämpfen hatten wir. Für ein solches Erlebnis sind die Preise keinesfalls zu teuer. Wer ein ehrliches und fantastisches Essen steht ohne aufgesetzten Firlefanz ist hier genau richtig. The restaurant is closed due to a change of tenant. Unfortunately it is to be feared that it will remain closed!? Once upon a time: classic Rheydt brewery. Meeting point with some local color and a pleasant atmosphere. Home-style cooking without a lot of frills and there should be something for everyone. Mussels well prepared and plentiful. Fresh brew, not too salty and with a little more peppery note. Friendly attentive service. You can stop here! A cold beer late in the afternoon in the June heat, non-alcoholic to be on the safe side, very well tempered and poured, plus a nice conversation at the bar. Very hospitable! Pill cake (Roesti) and chanterelles with pasta and cream sauce were delicious. We stop by every now and then, especially since there will definitely be mussels again soon. Good quality mussels and, as always, plenty of vegetables in the stock. Plus a delicious cellar beer 'Koenig Ludwig'. Although out of the bottle, it was well tempered and poured perfectly! It's asparagus season: asparagus cream soup, asparagus with tagliatelle and asparagus with schnitzel. It tasted good again! Beans with fried potatoes and schnitzel! Venison ragout with red cabbage and potato dumplings! Suitable for the season, well cooked and presented. The restaurant was well attended on a Friday evening: obviously because we weren't the only ones who liked it and the kitchen offered classic regional dishes.

We were there with a larger group and registered. Unfortunately, it took a while before we could continue driving - on our tours the focus is on "driving" and not on taking a break. And the chef probably had a bad day when it came to the schnitzel. Nevertheless, thank you
