It doesn't necessarily have to be, there are a lot of better restaurants in there Cologne.

A sensation the Italian restaurant! Small menu with ultra delicious, homemade pasta. Large wine list with select wines, especially from Italy and Germany. The service is very friendly and particularly attentive. So everything is set up for a lovely evening, great.

From the olive oil at the start to the cheese at the end. It was all very, very tasty. We had the four-course menu with wine and loved it. The service is very courteous and attentive. We were certainly not there for the last time.

Best Italian restaurant in Cologne! There is so much love and craftsmanship in every detail - the bread is homemade, the olive oil is home-grown and the pasta is of course homemade. Not to mention the unsurpassed wine selection that will melt every wine connoisseur's heart. The service is outstanding, you feel like a VIP when you are greeted right at the entrance. I love this place and everyone I've recommended it to feels the same way!

I wanted my birthday to be special. My husband invited me to a surprise dinner because of the many positive reviews. Yes, it was a surprise in a negative sense. The service was very accommodating when she had time. The restaurant was well attended and the guests had to be looked after accordingly. The staff in both the service area and the kitchen were overwhelmed. Something crockery or cutlery was constantly being dropped. Then the background noise was so loud that we couldn't have a conversation. It truly bordered on physical harm. For dinner we opted for the 5 course menu. After ordering, we first received a greeting from the kitchen. An indefinable soup, which is ok. was. At the same time the bread and a little oil arrived. The first starter was the beef tartare, which was quite acceptable. The second starter consisted of eggplant gratinated with cheese, which unfortunately no longer had a firm consistency. Afterwards we were served a risotto consisting of small pasta with mushrooms. The smell was very very tasty. Unfortunately, the taste was not a delight because the taste component was too obvious. It just tasted like grease. The main course was a long time coming. We weren't on the run, but waiting 35 minutes is no longer within the tolerance range. Then there was the disappointment because the main course, we had chosen fish, was no longer hot. The tuna didn't taste good at all. The vegetables were overcooked and the mashed potatoes were not tasty. It's a good thing we were told the components beforehand, because overall it wasn't enjoyable. Dessert, ricotta cakes with vanilla sauce, was fine. The waiter tried very hard to please us, but nothing could make up for the disappointment of the evening. We were very disappointed and it was the first and certainly the last time in this restaurant.

We had reserved a table for 3 people by phone for February 24th, 2025. It was confirmed. I called and made a reservation on February 21, 2025. They also took my phone number. When we got there on the day in question, the restaurant was completely closed, but Google Maps said it was open. On the door it said “Holiday from February 24th, 2025 to…. (I don't know anymore). It would have been good if they had gotten in touch. It's a shame, I would have loved to eat there. We drove through Cologne for an hour on Sunday, on my mother's birthday. In the end we are very upset.

Great cozy atmosphere with very attentive service. The 4 course meal with wine is a bit expensive (over €100 per person), but the quality of the food along with the flavors and plating made this a great culinary experience. The wine was mostly from Sardinia and one from Sicily, and were interesting choices and paired well with each course. The sweet dessert was very nice with a surprising hint of orange.

Very tasty, wonderful Italian food, which is not standard and very nice, warm-hearted treatment of the guests. You feel really welcome and as if you were a regular the first time. We would definitely love to come back!

The two of us were there for the first time yesterday. Give it a try because of some of the very good reviews. Conclusion in advance: disappointing, it will definitely stay with this one visit. Details: this principle of the "surprise menu", or "menus only per table" should be communicated more clearly on the website, so that you don't feel like you're being taken aback if you're told this when you place your order. For the menu you can choose between meat, fish and vegetarian. My girlfriend chose meat, I made an exception to my vegan lifestyle and chose vegetarian. We were surprised when my friend (who had chosen meat) was served a tuna tartare as a starter. But this was then replaced by a vegetarian one without much discussion. I'm not a gourmet, so my assessment of the food may not be taken as the sole basis for making a decision, but I found the price/performance ratio of the food served to be mediocre to poor. If you were to take away cheese (in almost all dishes) as a flavor carrier, then in my opinion the taste would be rather bland. The noise in the restaurant almost borders on bodily harm, very, very unpleasant. Only the waiter tried his best with his Italian charm, and the reception was also friendly and accommodating. For 200€ (including 3 glasses of wine, 2 aperitivo beforehand) a quite expensive lesson.

Wir hatten das Überraschungsmenue, teuer, aber top! Gute Weinauswahl mit kompetenter Beratung. Sehr freundlicher Service. Nun ja, ab 20.00 wird es laut( wie in allen modernen Lokalen, leider!), Aber durch die auseinander gestellten Tische konnten wir uns ganz gut unterhalten. Ein schöner Abend!

Wir hatten einen vorzüglichen Abend bei netten Gastgebern. Das Essen war von der Vorspeise, über den Hauptgang zum Dessert bei 4 verschiedenen Personen durchweg absolut empfehlenswert. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen!

Not recommended for vegans To be honest, I fluctuate between one and five stars. My first time there was as part of a birthday dinner. First impression great, attentive gentlemen from the door to the table. When I ordered I asked what dressing the salad had. The answer was “oil and vinegar”. I said, “Great, because I don’t eat anything from animals.” For the main course I asked whether there was cream in the mushroom sauce or whether it was suitable for vegans. Answer: no butter, no cream, absolutely suitable. The culinary evening began with a greeting from the kitchen. A small soup...with a parmesan topping. Then came the salad (fennel salad). I started eating, and it was really very tasty (it would give it 5 stars) - until I had something in my mouth that I expected to be dried fruit and what turned out to be a very thin strip of smoked salmon and which I unfortunately registered as already there was on its way to my stomach (which hadn't been the case since 2015). There would be a star here after the experience, because I pretty much lost my appetite. After these two experiences with two things that were served, I asked again if the gentleman who took the order was sure that the main course was vegan. He apologized for the kitchen greeting and the salad and confirmed this. When the main course came, there was parmesan on top again. I complained about this to a colleague who was just passing by. She disappeared into the kitchen around the corner where we could see for about twenty seconds and came back with a plate. On the one hand, there was a finger of fat and grease smears on the edge that you would expect at a rest stop and on the other hand, the Parmesan was not on top, but stirred in (…). At this point I felt a bit taken aback. If the story ended here, I would give it one star. I complained again to a colleague and ten minutes later (when my friends had already finished eating) I received my porcini mushroom pasta without parmesan. The gentleman apologized, was very friendly, and said he took it upon himself. The gentlemen's handling of what went wrong was very good and professional and mistakes can happen, but despite the higher price range, they obviously have a bit of a hard time with the issue of "when ordering the salad, please without salmon" or "no parmesan." on the noodles.” Although the pasta was delicious and the atmosphere was nice, I wouldn't come here again, primarily because of the "stirred in Parmesan" after the second complaint, because for me that's more than just a "deduction in the B grade". Luckily it wasn't an allergic intolerance, as something like that can end really badly. Very unfortunate. The dishes that are prepared in the kitchen would certainly taste delicious vegan, but there doesn't seem to be any awareness of "the guest orders the dish without a xylophone" yet. The two nice gentlemen saved the overall result with, among other things, a delicious lemon sorbet. Maybe the topic will get more attention on the menu and in the minds of employees in the future, because after all it is the biggest growing movement in the food sector and you can certainly do it with dishes that you make anyway, but without cheese/fish/meat providers inspire many vegan people.

Die positiven Bewertungen kann ich leider nicht bestätigen. Das Essen war deutlich zu wenig, zu teuer und qualitativ dürftig. Der Service ist sehr mit sich und seinem "italienischen" Charme beschäftigt für seine eigentliche Aufgaben hat er so keine Kapazitäten mehr. Wein kam nach der Vorspeise, Wasser nur auf wiederholte Anforderung (gesprudeltes Leitungswasser 6,50 €), ebenso das dringend als Sättigungsbeilage erforderliche recht mickrige Brotkörbchen (3,50 €). Fazit: Großartiger Auftritt weckt Erwartungen, die nicht erfüllt werden. Für uns ein sehr ärgerlicher Abend.

Super freundlich vom authentischen und italienischen Service wurden wir empfangen. Mit Witz und Charme wurden wir durch den Abend begleitet, um es kurz zu machen: Das Essen (Burrata, Pasta, Rinderfilet, weiße Schokomousse und Panna Cotta) war super lecker, geschmacklich perfekt. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Aufgrund einer Einladung waren wir hier zu einem Abendessen und waren relativ enttäuscht. Als Gourmetwerkstatt kann man dieses kleine Restaurant nicht beschreiben, eher als eine reine Werkstatt. Dort ist es sehr laut und die Tische stehen ziemlich eng beieinander, so dass man jedes Gespräch am Nachbartisch verfolgen kann. Die Küche ist einsehbar und der Krach von dort, wie z.B. der Abwasch der Teller ist immer zu hören und zu sehen. Das Essen selbst ist italienisch interessant und teilweise lecker, aber leider sehr überschaubar. Die selbst hergestellte sardische Pasta schmeckt gut gewürzt und diese Portionen machen auch einen guten Esser satt. Die Weinkarte ist natürlich sehr vielseitig aber auch nicht unbedingt preiswert. Aber es gibt die Weine auch glasweise. Was uns besonders auffiel war, dass das Personal teilweise sehr oberflächlich ist und nur die Stammgäste sehr schnell und aufmerksam bedient werden. Auch dauerte es recht lange, ehe man alle Gänge nacheinander serviert bekam. Den Anspruch, einer der besseren Italiener im hohen Preissegment zu sein, können wir nicht bestätigen. Daher leider von uns keine Empfehlung zu weiteren Besuchen.

Wir kommen mittlerweile seit mehreren Jahren, teilweise mit acht Personen. Wir haben auch die sicherlich schwierigen Zeiten erlebt, wo in der Woche kaum jemand das Restaurant besucht hat. Das war eigentlich schade wegen des tollen Essens. Irgendwann ist Zipiri auf die Idee gekommen ausschließlich am Donnerstag ein preislich reduziertes Menu anzubieten. Auch das haben wir schon einmal ausprobiert. Wenn auch die Portionen sicherlich etwas kleiner sind bzw. in den letzten Monaten kleiner geworden sind kann man das akzeptieren, solange die Qualität bleibt wie sie war. Das ist immer noch der Fall. Am Donnerstag den 17.10.2024 sind wir aber negativ überrascht worden, dass das Überraschungsmenü anstatt mit EURO 52,00 mit dem regulären Preis von EURO 69,00 abgerechnet wurde. Es erfolgte der Hinweis, dass der reduzierte Preis nur für die vegane und vegetarische Variante gilt. Dies ist allerdings bei der Online-Reservierung nicht zu erkennen wenn man das Restaurant kennt. Schade, dass man so Stammkunden vergrault.

Bevor ich ein Restaurant betrete, schaue ich mir dessen Hinterausgang an, ob dieser sauber und ordentlich ist, denn ein Restaurant darf nicht nur eine schöne Front haben, sondern muss auch ganzheitlich sauber und hygienisch sein. Der Hinterausgang der Zippiri Weinbar liegt in in einem kleinen Hinterhof auf der Pfitznerstraße und was ich dort gesehen habe, hat mir einfach die Sprache verschlagen! Dort lagert neben einem überquellenden Aschenbecher ein riesiger Haufen Sperrmüll aller Art. Ich war total entsetzt!! Wie kann sich denn ein Restaurant als Gourmetwerkstatt bezeichnen und gleichzeitig so ein Saustall sein?! Ich habe mich noch kurz mit einer Anwohnerin unterhalten und sie bestätigte mir, das der Restaurantbesitzer monatelang dort Müll jeglicher Art lagert. Sie sprach auch von Problemen mit Ratten, die dort wohl ein gutes Zuhause gefunden haben. Schaut es euch bitte an, denn mir hat s mehr als nur den Appetit verschlagen.

The two of us had dinner here and we absolutely loved it. The food was very good, but what stood out most was the service! We were always kept in mind and we were given detailed and competent advice on drinks and food choices. You could try all the wines and every wine is available by the glass, not just the bottle. This gives you a huge selection for an evening. Here you experienced the opposite of “service desert” and the price-performance ratio was right. We'd love to come back!

Best restaurant in Cologne! Authentic and warm people, no fake friendliness. The quality of the food is outstanding!

We were here for the first time yesterday and were thrilled by the quality of the food and wine. We had, among other things, the beef tartar creation, fregola di mare, oysters. The welcome bread was also perfect, fresh and crispy, with fantastic olive oil, of which we took a bottle home with us. Great gourmet experience. A small point of criticism: The tables for two were sometimes very narrow, so there was a bit of a lack of privacy. But it was solved as we got a nice corner spot.

We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Zippiri today and were more than thrilled! Not only was the food an absolute dream, we were also very impressed by the service. If we lived in Cologne, Zippiri would definitely be one of our favorite bars. A big thank you to the chef and the entire team.

The Zippiri is a wonderful restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Our every wish was fulfilled and much more. The dishes were exceptional and every single component was of the best quality. Visiting this restaurant was really something special.

Also, das Restaurant ist nett, etwas ungemütlich gestaltet, das Essen lecker, aber insgesamt viel zu teuer! Das Wasser kommt aus der Leitung, kommt in einer schönen Flasche und wurde angeblich durch einen Brita Filter gejagt, aber am Ende bleibt es Leitungswasser für 6,00 €!!! Kölsch steht zwar auf der Karte, aber es ist Gaffel Wies, also kein Kölsch! Wir hatten das 5 -Gänge Menü für jeweils 85,00 € und die Weinreise für 45,00 €. Ich habe dann noch ein Glas Wein extra bestellt, was nicht voll war und voll berechnet wurde! Brot und Olivenöl wurde ebenfalls extra berechnet. Das Essen war lecker, aber jetzt nicht sensationell! Die Weine waren gut, aber nicht besonders. Am Ende haben wir für 2 Personen 330,00 € bezahlt, was in keinem vernünftigen Verhältnis zur Leistung steht! Das machen wir nicht nochmals!

A fantastic evening with delicious food. All the employees were extremely attentive and put us in a great mood. And our dogs were also lovingly welcomed.

Michele's team is simply great. This was my second time there (this time for the 4-course surprise menu, I didn't take a photo of the fourth course (cheese). The service is very attentive, friendly, accommodating. You can tell the team has fun at work. The dishes are lovingly prepared and are a delight for all the senses.

Mit den Jahren hat das Zippiri seine Qualität immer weiter gesteigert und ergänzt nun die feine sardische Küche um kleine, gelungene Experimente (z.B. Thunfisch-Terrine mit Pistazien und Lakritz). Sehr gute, passende Weinbegleitung. Freundlicher, professioneller und trotzdem familiärer Service. Demnächst sollten die Zippiris mal Stern oder Mützen bekommen. Reservieren ist sehr sinnvoll.

Waren das erste Mal im ZIPPIRI und kommen wieder. Der Service ist wirklich außergewöhnlich gut (und dabei gut gelaunt). Die Menschen die hier arbeiten haben Spaß daran - das merkt man. Das 4 Gänge Überraschungsmenü war sehr gut und eine gute Wahl. Dazu gab es u.a. einen wirklich umwerfenden Wein (Tanca Farrá 2019). Einziger kleiner Nagativpunkt: wir saßen im hinteren Bereich nahe der Küche und hatten Pech mit den Tischnachbarn: es war z.T. wirklich sehr laut und eine Unterhaltung war nur angestrengt möglich.

Ich war nach ca. 5 Jahren wieder vor Ort. Es stimmte alles. Service Weinauswahl Ambiente und natürlich die Speisen. Wir haben beide das Rinderfilet gegessen. Selten so ein Filet gegessen das auf den Punkt gegart war und butterweich. Die Auswahl der Vorspeisen könnte etwas anders gestaltet werden. Aber das ist natürlich Geschmacksache. Ein gelungener Abend auf hohem Niveau Ich komme wieder 👍

Das Essen war super lecker. Wir hatten das 4-Gang-Überraschungsmenü. Der Service war unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend. Die Weine sind ebenfalls klasse - besonders zu empfehlen sind der Weißwein und der Rosé vom Etna. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

The starter was so small and the artichoke was really chewy . I ordered Tuna Tataki, which wasn’t seasoned , or seared, and was actually tasteless . The potato puree was lukewarm warm. The octopus that my husband ordered wasn’t crispy on the outside. When this was mentioned , the waiter was extremely polite but didn’t really react . The service was really lovely, however the food was not to an acceptable standard . Too much money for average food. It’s such a shame as we won’t be returning.

Wir hatten einen super netten Abend. Der Service war super freundlich und vor allem sehr aufmerksam. Der Wein wurde immer wieder nachgeschenkt und wir hatten immer neues Wasser auf dem Tisch (nach Rücksprache). Das Essen war sehr besonderes und hebt sich von klassischen Karten besonders ab! Außerdem sitz man im Weingeschäft, was die Atmosphäre besonders macht. Insgesamt ein super Komplettpaket - ich komme definitiv wieder.

Das Ambiente ist angenehm und die Servicekräfte freundlich. Das Essen ist gut und gehoben, allerdings qualitativ doch noch unter dem Preisniveau! Der Grund für meine schlechte Bewertung ist einzig und allein die Chefin/Gattin des Chefs. Diese glänzt durch Arroganz und Unprofessionalität, das man sich in dieser Preisklasse nicht leisten sollte. Zum Vorfall: Meine Frau und ich wählten beide das Überraschungsmenü. Wir wurden von der Bedienung gefragt, ob wir irgendetwas nicht essen würde. Auf Nachfrage von mir, was beispielsweise damit gemeint ist, sagte die Bedienung "z.B. Fisch oder Meeresfrüchte". Wir verneinten, da wir beide so ziemlich alles essen. Der erste Gang war fantastisch und ließ keine Wünsche übrig. Leider kam zum zweiten Gang Gänsestopfleber! Ein Gericht, dass ich ehrlich gesagt nicht klassisch beim Italiener erwarten würde. Leider ist das tatsächlich die eine Sache, die wir beide nicht essen. Die Chefin eilte direkt an den Tisch und fragte, ob sie uns etwas anderes stattdessen bringen könnte. Ehrlich gesagt hätte ich das nicht erwartet, aber nun gut, wenn sie schon fragt: Burrata! Dieser Gang war ebenfalls gut und auch die weiteren Gänge waren anständig! Als die Rechnung kam, musste ich allerdings feststellen, dass die beiden "Ausweichgerichte" vollumfänglich zusätzlich berechnet wurden. Als ich die Chefin darauf ansprach, wurde sie aus meiner Sicht pampig und frech. Letzendlich verließen wir das Restaurant mit einem unguten Gefühl, dass man bei einer Rechnung von knapp 350 € (zu zweit) nicht haben sollte. Schade, aber das wird unser letzter Besuch gewesen sein.

Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant. Jedes Gericht war unglaublich lecker und auch sehr hochwertig. Auch der Service war super, jeder war total freundlich. Wir hatten das Fisch Menü und waren begeistert von der Qualität und von dem Geschmack. Ein Punkt Abzug gibt es allerdings: Der Preis für eine Flasche Wasser ist unverschämt hoch! Insbesondere wenn es Wasser aus dem Wasserhahn ist. Wurde zwar gefiltert, nichts desto trotz ist es etwas dreist, solche Preise zu verlangen.

Wenn man: Mehr Leute annimmt als man professionell bedienen kann, sich in der Küche auf seinen Lorbeeren ausruht (nein es war nicht gut), rein gar nichts für die Akustik tut (die fast an Körperverletzung grenzt), lebt man noch vom Service der das Beste daraus macht, und von dem natürlichen italienischem Charme…Schade

Der Name GOURMET Werkstatt kommt hier nicht von ungefähr. Sehr gute kleine Karte mit entsprechenden Preisen und einem gepflegten Ambiente.

Bei unserem Besuch war ALLES äußerst erfreulich: eine warmherzige Begrüßung, aufmerksamer und fixer Service, große Auswahl an hervorragenden Weinen, sehr ansprechende Speisekarte für alle Geschmäcker, kreative und qualitativ hochwertige Gerichte, freundliche, fast familiäre Verabschiedung. Da das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis auch stimmte, sind wir von unserem ersten Besuch echt begeistert.

Зашли большой компанией, отличный отзыв о ресторане мы услышали от своих близких друзей и действительно не пожалели, вечер удался,нас быстро обслужили, еда была вкусная, все блюда оригинально оформлены.Тарелки , практически все, возвращались чистыми и дело не только в хорошем аппетите, но и похвала шеф-повару, не было претензий к еде, да и вино хорошего качества. Девушка-официант хорошо знает характеристику вин, она внимательно слушала что мы предпочитаем и давала чёткие рекомендации, что можно выбрать из предложенного ассортимента.Не часто встретишь столь подготовленных сотрудников , прям браво!Замечание есть:туалетная кабинка без внутреннего замка, это нонсенс!Рекомендую посетить ресторан , столик заказывать заранее.

Wir waren mit 4 Personen da (einmal veggie, und Laktoseintolerant) für jeden gab es ein tolles Menu mit sehr gutem Wein. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Essen war sehr gut! Für jeden etwas dabei.

Sehr leckeres Essen, und zuvorkommender Service. Toll fanden wir, dass viele Weine offen probiert werden konnten durch den ‚Coravin‘.

Retour dans ce superbe restaurant italien. La carte est alléchante tout comme la carte des vins. Nous avons pris plusieurs entrées à partager, juste divin. Quand au poisson du jour, le thon cuisson remarquable. Le tout sur un vin voluptueux un Amarone..

Exzellentes Essen in familiärer Atmosphäre. Herzliche Gastgeber. Große Weinkarte. Ausgezeichnetes Menü. Bemühte Gastgeber, die sich auch um Alternativen kümmerten, wenn man einen Part des Menü nicht mochte. Eine ganz, ganz herzliche Seniorchefin, welche dafür sorgte, dass wir uns wie Zuhause gefühlt haben. Sehr hochwertige Küche, welche ihren Preis wert ist. Danke für den schönen Abend.

Meine aufgrund der hervorragenden Bewertungen hohen Erwartungen wurden nicht voll erfüllt. Beim Überraschungsmenu wurden sowohl in der Vorspeise als auch im Hauptgang Thunfisch serviert, das Dessert (Panna Cotta? Vanillecrème? mit zu süßer Fruchtsoße) überzeugte nicht.
