This was our first time here. It was simply wonderful ☺️ the food was simply fantastic, and so was the service! Thank you so much for the wonderful evening 🙏 When we're back in Düsseldorf, we'll definitely stop by 🫶

Wonderful restaurant, incredible food, and super lovely staff!

We sat outside, it was a lovely spot, and the food was truly original and delicious! The fact that no bread is served with soup or salad, but you have to buy four slices with a bit of butter for almost €4, spoils the overall experience – it should be worth it for the price!

We were there yesterday – a beautiful ambiance with gorgeous lights on the terrace. The food was exceptionally good and had that special something! The service was super friendly, and it was a perfect evening!

Great restaurant with unusual, clever food. The service isn't quite up to par with the kitchen, and the outdoor seating is incredibly uncomfortable, but the food makes up for it.

We spent a wonderful birthday here. From the appetizers to the main courses, to the cheese and apricot tart, everything was very aromatic and delicious. The espresso was also very good. The service was very attentive and gave excellent advice – the recommended wines were well-matched to the meal. When the weather is good, you can enjoy a lovely outdoor seating area, which is particularly atmospheric at dusk. We've been wanting to come here for a long time – the wait was worth it. We'll definitely be back!

Simply sensational. We were in Cologne for two days and happened to be here on the first evening. We booked a table again the next morning. Outstanding, creative cuisine, amazingly new service, and the young sommelier served us little secrets and ideas for two days. This isn't a low-budget restaurant, but the value for money is sensational. For the price charged for one glass, you'd normally only get standard fare, but here you'd get real wines. The same goes for the food. We had two wonderful evenings, and I've paid considerably more for less fun. Thank you.

I love Haus Müller as a location, and the service is always spot on. However, it must be said that the menu prices have become significantly too high for what you get.

TL;DR: Beautiful restaurant, impressive, we felt forgotten by the service, and the food tasted bland. Haus Müller is a very nice restaurant, beautifully situated in a small square with a fountain and, apart from the regular buses whizzing by, very quiet. Full of anticipation, we then dived into the menus, and I have to say, we were initially impressed by the selection of dishes. The starters (under "Small Plates") were very good and tasty. We had the Marinated Portobello, the Grilled Eggplant, and the Wild Herb Salad (although I imagine wild herbs to be something other than arugula and spinach). Unfortunately, the main courses (under "Large Plates") didn't leave a lasting impression. My meal (turbot) was very bland and didn't really score points for my taste; unfortunately, you couldn't distinguish the individual ingredients, and the fish was more reminiscent of mild cod. One of my companions ordered the sous-vide cooked(!) veal loin, which was surprisingly dry and tough. The second companion was very satisfied with her roasted Duroc neck and especially the tomato and bread salad. The service was friendly and offered good recommendations. However, after a while, we felt a little "forgotten." Despite the moderately full house, people often brushed past us without even looking at us or asking if we needed anything else. We were there on a Monday (perhaps that explains something?), perhaps it was the day or the menu. In any case, I would go back in a while and see how it was.

The food was, as expected, very good. It seemed fresh, and you can tell the kitchen is really good. However, you quickly realize that as a "normal"/average person, you're not welcome. The staff gave me strange looks as soon as I entered. And then I committed the crime of ordering a beer with my meal. The staff's friendliness was pretty poorly acted. The food came relatively quickly, but it was slapped down on our table as if they were saying, "Eat quickly and get out of here." The bill also came relatively quickly, and I had the feeling the waiter was surprised when we paid without really calculating and even tipped generously. If you want to be treated kindly there, you probably have to be in the top 10%, show up in a suit, and order 10 bottles of wine. In conclusion: The food was good, but a bit expensive. The service was abysmal and also made us feel uncomfortable.

Great restaurant! We recently celebrated our daughter's confirmation here with twenty guests, and everyone was thrilled. We had the opportunity to put together the menu ourselves in advance, with various options, and the planning was very accommodating and uncomplicated. Also worth mentioning is the excellent service that evening; the waiter was very prompt and kept a close eye on all the guests' requests. I would definitely recommend it, even for larger groups!

A truly wonderful atmosphere and really good service! Unfortunately, the menu is a bit odd. We didn't find anything that made our mouths water. It's a shame. The prices for a glass of wine, for example, are a bit too high.

Excellent service. The food was delicious. Small plates were the size of an appetizer in a four-course meal.

Although it wasn't my cup of tea, I can recommend Haus Müller. Very nice ambiance, friendly service, but the menu wasn't my taste. And €8.50 for a glass of wine is borderline expensive.

Business dinner for 10 people, reserved in advance, 3-course tapas-style menu. First of all, we would like to thank you for swapping our reserved indoor table for outdoor seating. Great weather, a large tree nearby, and fairy lights – a very pleasant atmosphere that we really enjoyed. The service was super friendly and attentive, and the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. We had a wonderful evening and would love to come back. Thank you very much!

Nice restaurant, you can sit comfortably both inside and outside on the large terrace. We have been here many times and have never been disappointed. There are often changing seasonal dishes.

Great restaurant! Of course not cheap, but it's worth it. Really fair prices compared to the general price level. I had the fish as a main course and it was great. The service is very friendly and pleasant, the ambience is elegant but not exaggerated - everything to make you feel good! The very short menu is particularly positive - everything is obviously freshly cooked, which is unfortunately not a given.

Unfortunately very rude employee! Despite many free spaces, if you travel alone you will be put in the last corner! You can learn something from Viennese culture and treat singles with more respect! It's a shame because the store looks really great!

The food was very good for a reasonable price. The guest room is cozy. The waiter was in a bad mood.

For me one of the best restaurants in Cologne. And also good proof that service is simply super important. This one was repeatedly simply the best of the best and still has us raving about it months later, it simply blew our socks off. The food was also great. Unusual despite simple ingredients. The bread, the wine, the ambience is 10/10 with stars. Absolute recommendation. However, reserve! Also very nice to sit outside in summer

A great restaurant with a very friendly team and very, very delicious food. Everything tastes outstanding! The tartare starter is second to none, and the main courses, whether meat, fish, or vegetarian, are very well balanced and delicious. To finish, there are lovely desserts and delicious coffee. Plus, a great wine list and a variety of beers. We'd love to come back.

We stayed overnight at the Hotel Hopper. Because of an evening event, we were there for dinner at 5 p.m. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the food. Interesting principle, there are small plates and large plates. You can eat two small plates and enjoy different things, or one small and one large plate. Or just a small one or just a big one. For a large plate we had a great fish dish, fried halibut Carrots & common wheat - Jerusalem artichoke & Ponzu price 29.50. For dessert, my wife had semolina flammerie & plum roaster and I had the cheese variation & fresh sourdough bread. Good varied selection of cheese, and the sourdough bread - I have rarely eaten such good bread. And the young woman who did the service was friendly and accommodating. We will come back.

The restaurant is great and reminds me of French cuisine. We loved the magret, the pork cheeks, the mushroom soup and the steak tartare. I will be back! The wine I had was also great.

It used to be a great and cozy restaurant with nice staff and where you were spontaneously welcome as a guest. But it has become more and more chic. High prices and quite small portions. And then this 2-shift reservation... Unfortunately, greed inflation has struck here too. Unfortunately the restaurant has lost its soul. Too bad...

Me and my husband had a lovely dinner here. We had to be seated outside as the restaurant was fully booked. But it was lovely the heater was turned on. Our waitress Rania was soo sweet and lovely. The food was 5*. We had pork cheeks with mash. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Wir hatten das Gänsemenü und waren vom Service und der Atmosphäre begeistert. Auch der Salat zu Beginn und das Dessert haben uns überzeugt. Der Hauptgang war zwar sehr lecker aber die Gans etwas klein. Hier hätten wir uns gern etwas mehr gewünscht. Dennoch ein sehr schöner Abend.

We had the goose menu (€52) at Haus Müller. It was my first visit there. This place has been on my list for a long time. And we weren't disappointed. The restaurant is super cozy, the service was nice and the food was good. Price-performance is okay. In fact, I thought it was a shame that you had to pay extra for bread with the salad (€3.50) and I have also eaten better (more tender) goose legs. I also missed a bit of sauce. The dessert was "simple" but reminded me of my childhood and was very tasty. I'd love to come back again in the summer to sit on the outdoor terrace :).

Very nicely decorated restaurant and great service. However, the food was just mediocre. We had the goose menu, with a salad as a starter and a dessert with vanilla ice cream and blueberry sauce. Overall, all courses were relatively bland. The salad was not very seasoned and had too little dressing. The goose itself was very good, but unfortunately the sauce was completely tasteless and so was the red cabbage. The vanilla ice cream from the supermarket sometimes tastes better than the homemade one here. Too bad. Especially because the atmosphere is really nice and the service is really friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, that's not enough given the price.

Sehr nett eingerichtetes Restaurant und tolle Bedienung. Allerdings war das Essen nur mittelmäßig. Wir hatten das Gänsemenü, mit einem Salat als Vorspeise und als einer Nachspeise mit Vanilleeis und Blaubeersauce. Insgesamt waren alle Gänge relativ fad. Der Salat war wenig gewürzt und zu wenig Dressing. Die Gans selbst war sehr gut, aber leider war die Sauce komplett geschmacklos und der Rotkohl ebenfalls. Das Vanilleeis aus dem Supermarkt schmeckt teilweise besser, als das selbstgemachte hier. Schade. Insbesondere weil das Ambiente wirklich schön ist und die Bedienung wirklich sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Leider reicht das bei dem Preis nicht aus.

Haus Müller in der Südstadt ist eine echte Perle! Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und einladend, das moderne Design verleiht dem Lokal eine warme Note. Die Küche ist hervorragend – regionale, saisonale Zutaten werden mit Kreativität zu leckeren Gerichten kombiniert. Der Service ist herzlich und aufmerksam, das Team geht individuell auf Gäste ein und sorgt für ein rundum entspanntes Erlebnis. Wer gute Küche und eine authentische Gastfreundschaft schätzt, ist hier genau richtig. Ein Muss für Genießer!

Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt, sehr nette Bedienung , sehr sehr gutes Essen ! Leider wurden wir nach ein paar schönen Stunden gebeten den Tisch für neue Gäste freizumachen, aber sehr höflich.

Es war ein wunderbarer Abend mit hervorragendem Essen, freundlichem Personal und gemütlichem Ambiente.

Das Haus Müller ist für mich eine der schönsten Adressen in Köln. Gestern war ich endlich mal mit meinem Mann dort, so oft kommen wir nicht ohne Kids vor die Tür. Ich habe vorgeschwärmt und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Den Apero konnten wir noch draussen trinken, auf der schönen Terrasse, später sind wir dann an einen Hochtisch drinnen umgezogen. Wir haben mehrere kleine Teller gegessen, in drei Gängen. Jedes Mal wurden wir nach einer kurzen Weile gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Wir schätzen so einen "check in" sehr, leider ja sehr selten geworden. Leder war meine Suppe mir zu salzig, ich konnte sie ohne Probleme retournieren und es wurde mehr als kulant mit mir umgegangen, das hat uns positiv überrascht. Die restlichen Teller waren sehr lecker und sehr gut abgeschmeckt (Ziegenkäse mit Salat, Tatar, Enokipilz, Gnocchi) und wir sind sehr happy und satt nach Hause gegangen. Es ist sicherlich nicht das günstigste Essen, aber sein Geld absolut wert. Vielen Dank an das Haus Müller Team!

Easily the best food I ever had in Cologne.

We had a fantastic meal at Haus Muller. While a reasonable walk from the city centre it was well worth it for the best meal we had whilst in Cologne. The staff were really great and understanding of our terrible German and provided English menus and spoke English to us. The highlight of the meal was the steak tartare which was the best we've ever had but each dish was good, I particularly enjoyed their take on the local dish Himmel und Ard with a lovely soft black pudding and fantastic mash topped with a lot of crispy onions. We ordered two large dishes and three small dishes between us and it was more than enough food. Sadly we were too full to try any of the desserts. The atmosphere was nice and the service was attentive without being over the top. We particularly noted the way that the acoustics work in the restaurant meant it wasn't too noisy. There is some lovely outdoor tables outside in the little square.
