Sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel war jetzt schon 3 mal dort ( Kontra K Konzert ). Sehr freundliches Personal, Zimmer immer sauber und sehr ordentlich eingerichtet.

Super netter Service. Top Frühstück mit Kaffeeservice zum Sitzplatz, große Auswahlmöglichkeinen auch kurz vom Ende noch gut gefüllt. Perfekt für Veranstaltungen in der Lanxess Arena.

Wir sind nur eine Nacht hier, aber bis jetzt haben wir einen sehr guten Eindruck vom Hotel. Haben Karten für die Lanxess arena und da ist das Hotel eine sehr gute Ausgangslage. Zimmer etwas klein, aber sehr sauber und macht einen gepflegten Eindruck.

Super gelegenes Hotel, von hier aus kann man alles fußläufig erreichen. Service, Freundlichkeit, Frühstück und Zimmer top. Fühlten uns sehr wohl. Bis bald

Das Hotel im ehemaligen Denkmalgeschützten Jugendstilschwimmbad ist der Hammer. Super gelegen gegenüber der Lanxess Arena mit modernen schönen Zimmern und der Bio Bar. Muss man sehen und erlebt haben. Alfred Bioleks Wohnzimmer, sozusagen.

Das Zimmer war super schön groß, es waren eine Kaffeemaschine und ein Kühlschrank vorhanden und jeden Tag eine Flasche Wasser. Das Frühstück (Buffet) war klasse, es war alles vorhanden, was man sich vorstellen kann, es fehlte nichts, von herzhaft bis süß. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und gegenüber ist die Lanxess Arena, ideal, wenn man Konzerte besuchen möchte.

Bereits mehrfach waren wir jetzt Gäste im Hotel Stadtpalais und wir kommen immer wieder gerne zurück. Die Küche im hoteleigenen Restaurant ist sehr lecker, das Frühstücksbuffet gestaltet sich vielseitig und wird sehr schön angerichtet. Das Gebäude und die Inneneinrichtung haben sehr viel Charme und auch die hoteleigene Bar lohnt sich. Das Personal dort behält auch bei Hochbetrieb den Überblick und ist sehr freundlich und serviceorientiert. Die Lage direkt gegenüber der Lanxess Arena ist natürlich der Hammer und unsere Aufenthalte waren bisher immer mit Events in der Arena verbunden. Wenn andere im Parkhaus zwei Stunden im Stau stehen, sitzen wir an der Hotelbar. Better choice! ;-) Ein absoluter Hoteltipp in Köln!

Das Hotel liegt super gut gelegen gegenüber der Lanxess Arena für Konzertbesuche oder für Kölner Haie Heinspiele ist das Hotel optimal. Es ist mit 4 Sternen etwas gehobener man bekommt auch ein gutes Frühstück, die Zimmer sind auch alle sauber und modern eingerichtet man bekommt sogar ein Betttupfel bei Anreise. Der Preis war aber leider trotzdem für die Nacht etwas zu hoch, aufgrund meiner etwas kurzfristigen Buchung. Ich empfehle, mehrere Monate im vorraus zu buchen dann ist es günstiger und am besten mit zwei Personen dann lohnt es sich.

Der Service war freundlich und professionell, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Fazit: Ideales Hotel für Konzert- oder Eventbesuche in der LANXESS arena. Tolle Lage, super Hotel und ein Frühstück, das keine Wünsche offenlässt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Wir waren eine Nacht im Hotel Stadtpalais um in der Lanxess Arena eine Veranstaltung zu besuchen. Der Standort ist einfach nur perfekt. Einfach über die Straße und schon ist man da. Geparkt haben wir in der Seitenstraße für 5 Euro/24h. Die Tiefgarage empfanden wir als zu teuer. Das Hotel an sich war wunderschön, die Bar gemütlich, das Restaurant beeindruckend und die Zimmer groß. Allerdings waren wir im Zimmer etwas enttäuscht von der Sauberkeit. Wir erwarten da anderes bei 4 Sterne und dem Preis pro Nacht. Trotzdem überwiegt das positive, daher ist das Stadtpalais unsere erste Adresse wenn wir eine Veranstaltung buchen

Erhrlich wir gehen nur in den stadtpalais wir waren diesen monat 2mal da und für nächstes jahr haben wir auch schon geplant wenigstens 3-4mal dahin zugehen. Wir lieben das hotel und natürlich auch köln selbst. Für uns gibt es 10sterne für das hotel

I can highly recommend the Hotel Stadtpalais. The rooms were modern and spotlessly clean. Overall, the hotel has a great atmosphere and is impressively renovated. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast was fantastic, with everything you could wish for. The staff there were also incredibly nice. The restaurant (formerly a swimming pool) was particularly impressive, as it also served the breakfast buffet. The Lanxess Arena is directly opposite, which is convenient if you're going to an event there, like we were. We'd love to come back again! 🤩

The food was quite alright, just a normal breakfast; the hotel and sauna were very pleasant and relaxing; the location is very good and allows everything to be reached on foot.

Hello! We had a wonderful weekend in Cologne, and the hotel played a big part in that. We parked in the spacious underground garage. It's not essential, but it was super practical and convenient. Our room (a double room) was very stylish. Beautifully and modernly furnished, with a view of the Lanxess Arena and a bathtub. The staff, wherever they worked, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very extensive. They catered to every taste 😉 There really isn't anything to complain about. If we come back to Cologne, I know where we'll be staying 😁 Thanks for the lovely weekend ☺️

Perfectly located for concertgoers. The rooms are highly recommended, the parking space in the garage is ideal, and the breakfast is fantastic with a huge selection. The restaurant is also highly recommended. Friendly staff and delicious cocktails at the bar in the evenings. We won't have to look far for the next concert. We'll be back! 👍👍👍👍

The shower hose was a bit short for tall people. Otherwise, it's a very chic hotel.

Can't say much about the service since I stayed there for only one night but feels not right to give more than 3 stars because I basically didn't experienced much. Breakfast was good, rooms were a little small but enough for one person. Sadly the TV didn't functioned perfectly. Netflix and many Channels weren't available but didn't mind it since it was just one night. Good bathroom. Location perfect for anyone who visits a concert at the lanxess arena and also it's not far from the train station köln messe/deutz

Was here for the Chase Atlantic concert- PERFECT location since it was right across from the arena and I didn't have to worry about walking through Köln at night, which as a solo traveling 20± yo woman was beyond fantastic ~ ♡ Staff was really nice and accommodating + breakfast was top. Good variety. All in all, for the price I payed, location and staff i would definitely recommend again and come here for the next concert im attending thats at the Lanxes Arena

We had a double room and a twin room. We parked in the hotel's underground garage, which had plenty of space. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Both rooms were beautifully furnished. The beds were comfortable (the mattresses could have been a bit firmer for our taste). The bar staff were very accommodating, quick, and friendly! Everything was great! We ate in the bar in the evening. The food was delicious, but could have been a bit warmer. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and it had everything you could need for breakfast. The location right next to the Lanxess Arena was perfect for us, as we were attending an ice hockey game that evening. Overall, a very nice hotel, and we would come again.

I really liked the Hotel Stadtpalais in Cologne. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortably furnished. The breakfast was varied and delicious, offering everything you need for a good start to the day. Parking was also easy and convenient. The hotel is close to the trade fair center and the Lanxess Arena. You can reach the city center on foot in about 30 minutes or easily by public transportation. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

The location is superb, close to the Messe/Deutz exhibition center and a small shopping street. The vouchers are also great if you opt out of daily room cleaning. Please offer more vegan options at breakfast or advertise it better, e.g., vegan bread?

A solid hotel in good condition. The dining room has a very unique design. The fitness area is part of the sauna area and consists of two machines. It's quiet, and the nearest bus stop is within easy walking distance. If you skip the cleaning service, you get a €5 voucher per night.

This was our first time in Cologne and we booked a room for three people. It was very easy to reach by train, and parking was available in the underground garage upon request. The room was simply excellent; nothing to complain about. It was also very nice to have a sauna in the hotel. The only thing I didn't like was that the breakfast didn't quite meet my expectations, based on all the reviews. It was certainly good and sufficient, but something was missing. For example, a bit of variety in the hot dishes. I would still go there again or book the hotel for a stopover.

Top hotel in a historic building (former swimming pool), close to the city center and directly across from the Lanxess Arena. Everything is very modern and clean, with friendly service and a very good, extensive breakfast buffet.

We stayed one night at the Hotel Stadtpalais in Cologne as a family of four and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. There was plenty of space for the whole family, with a large and comfortable double bed for the adults, as well as a sofa bed for the children. Although the sofa bed worked well, it could have been a little bigger - our children are 10 and 13 years old, and it was a bit cramped. The room was clean and tidy, and small details like free water bottles and chocolates on the bed made an impression. It gave a feeling of hospitality and thoughtfulness. Parking is under the hotel and costs 22 Euros extra, but the car was safe and secure, with easy access to the hotel from the garage. The breakfast was good with a varied selection, and the fact that it was served in a former swimming pool was a fun detail. All in all, a very good hotel stay - especially suitable for families with children who want comfort and spaciousness in the middle of the city.

Nice hotel. Ideal location for visiting the Lanxess Arena. Unfortunately, the beds are a bit soft, and the pillows aren't great either. The breakfast room, located in the former swimming pool, is visually very interesting and well-integrated. The breakfast is good. Unfortunately, the shower in our bathroom had a side cover that was too short, so the very small bathroom quickly flooded, even though we were very careful. There was little storage space in the bathroom, and there was no kettle in the room.

The breakfast and location were excellent, and the staff were very friendly and courteous. The hotel is on a busy street, but the room was well soundproofed. I highly recommend it.

I stayed at the Hotel Stadtpalais in Cologne for three nights in February 2025. Overall, the hotel makes a well-maintained and professionally run impression—ideal for a short business stay or a visit to the Lanxess Arena.

Very nice hotel right next to the stadium and the exhibition center. You can't hear a thing, though. A short walk takes you to the Rhine. We'd love to come back.

I'm not giving the service 0 stars because it's impossible. It turns out we arrived on June 3 at 9:00 PM and were told we had to leave the hotel by 8:00 AM at the latest the next day because they were going to deactivate some WWII bombs. This is the first piece of news we've had. We were going to a chemistry fair that opened at 9:00 AM. Well, no problem, we arrived at the fair an hour early. The fair ended at 5:00 PM and we still couldn't get into the hotel. It started raining, and we were wandering around the streets. We called the hotel, and they told us it wasn't their problem, that they had given us advance notice. We told them they should have given us advance notice, not at check-in, that this hotel was within the evacuation radius. It was up to us to decide whether to change to one outside the hotel or take our chances. Well, we can now access the hotel at 8:00 PM, and the rooms are unmade, although the cleaners were there at 7:00 AM, and there are signs that they entered the rooms. They also don't offer dinner service, and the breakfast for gluten-intolerant people consists of two slices of gluten-free Bimbo bread... a 4-star hotel that charges a fortune (250 euros a night) and whose service and customer service exceed the 4 stars.

An old-style hotel, but renovated in the former bathhouse – the bathhouse still serves as the breakfast room today. Friendly reception, functionally OK room, small bathroom with a bathtub. Limited storage space for longer stays. Mattress a bit too soft, not ideal on the street side due to noise. Fantastic breakfast, very well-stocked. Large selection of open teas with decent dishes and inserts. Good salmon, tasty roast beef. Pastries very good. Didn't try the coffee in the breakfast room; the one in the lobby the day before was undrinkable. The stadium is across the street, ideal for such occasions.

We were in Cologne for a concert. The location was great, opposite the Lanxess Arena, and the room was quiet. It was also close to the city center and the nearest public transport stops. Helpful staff. The room was clean and modern. A great sustainability concept. It's also ideal for a city trip. We would come again.

Perfect for a concert at the Lanxess Arena

I booked the hotel because of its excellent location. The Arena is about 50 meters away. The Rhine is about a 15-minute walk away. Parking is available on Eitorfer Strasse, 50 meters away. Five euros for 24 hours! I had the single room 414 on the 4th floor. Very clean and bright. Good bathroom with a walk-in glass shower. The bed had an above-average mattress. The only downside to the room is that it heats up quickly. Unfortunately, the air conditioning then has to be on. I can't comment on the breakfast. If you're in Cologne, then the Hotel Stadtpalais! Thanks to the great team.

Super nice hotel and perfect for a concert (Billie Eilish) at the LanXess Arena - perfect combination, also not too far from the city center.

The hotel is located directly across from the arena, making it easy and convenient to get there. The hotel has many interesting details, and the building's history is lovingly incorporated. The breakfast room—the old swimming pool—is a must-see. The breakfast is sensational. A large selection, with everything your heart desires. The staff was very friendly. The bar guys were literally stunned on Friday evening and were super quick and cheerful. They seemed to really enjoy their job. The room was quite spacious. We had a corner room, which had lots of windows and was therefore very bright. We really enjoyed our stay. The bed was very (!) comfortable. A little more counter space in the bathroom would have been great, and I recommend earplugs, as it's quite noisy.

Everything about our stay was fine, but the location truly exceeded my expectations! 🤩 I didn’t realize it would be so close to the concert venue, which made a huge difference. The perfect hotel for the arena. We went to see Incubus (30/04/2025). From the end of the gig to the hotel room, with a stop at reception for a bottle of water, it took just 8 minutes! Amazingly convenient. The staff were lovely. One star lost due to low power air conditioning and limited vegan breakfast options.

We went to an exhibition in the former swimming pool. This has been really beautifully restored👍

We stayed there for two nights to watch the Carolin Kebekus show at the Lanxess Arena. We probably had the shortest route, just walking across the street. That's it. We would book again at any time. The beds are comfortable, there is a topper and the windows can be opened. Can you park your car on the street, a day ticket costs five euros, or in your own underground car park? The hotel surprised us with its historical past. Once upon a time there was a bathing establishment and the 19th century. The breakfast room is particularly nice. The former swimming pool was converted into a breakfast room. What the architect has done there is truly a masterpiece. It's beautiful. I was thrilled.

Great if you want to go to the Lanxess Arena. Directly opposite. You don't even need a jacket. Not cheap, but worth it. Parking garage €22 per day.

The hotel is very good, but the parking situation is a disaster. Highly recommended without a car. If you have a car, you won't find a parking space in the evenings during the trade fair.

we were not hotel guests, but we arrived at the arena for the Pitbull concert. We arrived from Hungary and had been traveling all day, so their kindness was very appreciated. They helped us put our coats away, so we could enjoy the concert almost from the front row. However, we would like to thank the two receptionists for their kindness (02.25 in the afternoon) and wish them all the best🫶🏼

My room was spacious, very clean, and equipped with all the amenities you could wish for. I was particularly impressed by the extensive breakfast buffet, which left nothing to be desired. The hotel's location, directly opposite the LANXESS Arena and close to the city center, is ideal for attending concerts and exploring the city. The staff was always friendly and helpful, which made my stay even more pleasant. I highly recommend the Hotel Stadtpalais to anyone seeking comfort and excellent service in Cologne.
