Unser kleines Klassentreffen war ein voller Erfolg. Die Reservierung hat gut geklappt. Wir waren angenehm überrascht über Stoffservietten, erstklassigen Service und die perfekte Küche. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Haben sehr lecker 😋 gegessen Wiener Schnitzel und Himmel un Äd. Sehr gut. Es gab zuvor verschiedene Brotsorten mit Bärlauchcreme und ein Gemüsesüppchen als Gruß aus der Küche. Auch der Apfelstrudel und der "alte Gouda" waren sehr gut 👍🏻 Auch die Bedienung sehr freundlich und auf Zack.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 10 Personen hier und sind restlos begeistert. Von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute hat alles absolut reibungslos funktioniert. Der Service: Unglaublich aufmerksam, freundlich und gut organisiert. Trotz der größeren Gruppe mussten wir nie lange warten, und das Team hatte alles perfekt im Griff. Das Essen: Ein absoluter Traum! Jedes Gericht war handwerklich perfekt zubereitet und geschmacklich ein Highlight. Besonders das Wiener Schnitzel hält, was die Gerüchte versprechen – absolute Weltklasse. Ambiente: Gemütlich und dennoch gehoben, perfekt für einen gelungenen Abend mit Freunden oder der Familie. Wow , wow , wow !! War das ein Geschmackserlebnis. Vom Schnitzel und den Bratkartoffeln war alles perfekt gewürzt. Endlich mal Bratkartoffeln mit Geschmack. Wo anders bekommt man sie immer sehr fad. Aber hier war wirklich alles perfekt. Danke für dieses tolle Essen. Liebe Grüße eure Nachbarn ☺️

Unser Sohn hat uns dahin eingeladen. Es war alles perfekt. Das Essen superlecker, der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Schön, dass es so etwas auch noch gibt.

★★★☆☆ Leider nicht auf Höhe des letzten Besuchs Das Schelds im Oellig hat mir bei früheren Besuchen sehr gut gefallen – herzliche Bedienung, tolle Atmosphäre, echte kölsche Gastlichkeit. Das gilt auch heute noch: Der Empfang war wieder freundlich, die Vorspeise gelungen, und die Bierkarte lässt keine Wünsche offen. Leider musste das Hauptgericht heute deutlich Federn lassen. Das Wiener Schnitzel war enttäuschend: Das Fleisch war ungewöhnlich dünn, die Panade wässrig – und beides schmeckte, ehrlich gesagt, nicht mehr ganz frisch. Die Bratkartoffeln dazu waren kräftig übersalzen. Auch der Fisch meiner Begleiterin hätte noch etwas mehr Garzeit vertragen können. Ein kleiner Hinweis für Menschen, die Milchprodukte meiden oder vegan essen: Die Karte ist derzeit in dieser Hinsicht recht eingeschränkt. Ich hoffe, das war ein einmaliger Ausrutscher – denn das Potenzial ist zweifellos da. Gerne schaue ich nochmal vorbei und passe die Bewertung entsprechend an. ★★★★★ Ein kulinarisches Highlight in Köln! Das Schelds im Oellig ist ein absolutes Juwel in der Kölner Gastronomieszene! Vom ersten Moment an fühlt man sich hier willkommen – die herzliche Bedienung ist nicht nur aufmerksam, sondern auch unglaublich gastfreundlich. Und das Essen? Einfach fantastisch! Jedes Gericht ist mit Liebe zum Detail zubereitet, die Zutaten sind von höchster Qualität, und die Aromen harmonieren perfekt. Egal ob Fleisch, Fisch oder vegetarische Speisen – hier kommt jeder Genießer auf seine Kosten. Das Schelds im Oellig ist nicht nur ein Restaurant, sondern ein echtes Erlebnis für alle, die kölsche Gastlichkeit und kulinarischen Hochgenuss schätzen. Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen – ich liebe es.

Am Sonntag haben wir unser Versprechen wahr gemacht und waren erneut im „Schelds em Oellig“. Wir haben Menü gegessen und mit Zwischengang-Ersatz auf das Dessert „verzichtet“. Meiner nachstehenden Rezession habe ich - nach diesem „göttlichen Menü“ nichts hinzuzufügen. Ein „Sternerestaurant im Kölner Brauhaus“ (ohne Stern | muss aber bei diesem kulinarisch-gastronomischen Genuss auch nicht….), Danke Herr Scheld und Team. Wir werden hundertprozentig wiederkommen, auch wenn wir aus Bergisch Gladbach anreisen „müssen“. PS: Schön das KStA | Henn in seiner erneuten „Beurteilung“ in 12/25 sich „korrigiert“ hat und das Restaurant als „Gutbürgerliches Restaurant des Jahres 2025“ geadelt hat. Leicht „untertrieben“ (Nuhn) Als aufmerksamer KStA - „Henns Geschmacksache“ Leser ist uns im März 2025 die Kritik über „Schelds em Oellig“ im Kölner Agnesviertel positiv aufgefallen und in Erinnerung geblieben. Gestern Erstbesuch mit Freunden. Fazit: Hervorragende Speisen - Menüs wurden gegessen - die auf den Punkt gewürzt und durch sehr gute Qualität der Zutaten überzeugten. Mein Rindertatar war „ein Träumchen“, das fehlende Eigelb und Kapern habe ich nicht vermisst. Auffällig war das aus unserer Sicht gute Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die historische „Brauhausatmosphäre“ lässt an sich auf den ersten Blick und für den „Premierengast“ derartige kulinarische Highlights nicht vermuten. Großes Lob an die Küche ! Unsere Freunde und wir waren rundherum zufrieden. Die schöne Lage am Neusser Platz, direkt gegenüber der Agneskirche wird uns - aus Bergisch Gladbach kommend - bald wieder in dieses weit mehr „als gutbürgerliches Restaurant“ führen. Abschließend möchte ich den aufmerksamen und wohltuend dem Gast zugewandten Service hervorheben. Es können hierfür nur 5 Sterne vergeben werden, ich vergebe für diese gute Leistung, die auch mit angenehmen Humor und Schlagfertigkeit garniert war „einen Zusatz-Extra-Stern“

Eigentlich sollte man gar nicht so viel loben, weil es dann immer schwerer wird, einen Tisch zu bekommen😬 Die Küche bietet eine handwerklich perfekte Mischung aus bekannten “gut bürgerlichen” Gerichten, zum Beispiel das sagenhafte Wienerschnitzel,( aus dem Rücken? besser geht nicht!) bis hin zu sehr gut interpretierten Anleihen aus der Gourmetküche..(Hummerbisque). Die Portionen sind üppig. Die Weinkarte ist überschaubar,, bietet aber für jeden etwas bei überschaubaren Preisen.. Obwohl das Restaurant mit einer großen Gruppe ausgebucht war, gelang es dem jungen Serviceteam locker, sehr freundlich und zügig zu arbeiten .

The service from the three girls was fantastic, the goose dinner was great (though a bit too salty). We sat at a high table on bar stools – not recommended. Really uncomfortable for eating. But all in all, a great evening :)

The genuine, heartfelt friendliness is immediately apparent upon arrival. The dining room is rustic and cozy, with a lovely selection of drinks and food. We opted for the "Classic" menu, a three-course meal featuring Wiener Schnitzel as the main course. The amuse-bouche was exceptionally delicious. This was followed by a sensational consommé with garnishes and additional toasted bread with chicken salad. We hadn't expected such high-quality food! Everything was perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty. After finishing the main course, we were even offered another freshly prepared Schnitzel. To finish, we enjoyed warm apple strudel with apple sorbet on the side. The service was friendly and attentive, and the wine selection was excellent. A truly unexpected delight at a reasonable price. A real gem!

We had a very pleasant evening outside. I opted for the 3-course menu (€62, without dessert). It's nice that you have flexibility in choosing the three courses (starter, starter, main course, dessert). We started with bread and dip and a welcome from the kitchen. The courses were beautifully presented and mostly very tasty. The ceviche was a bit too coarse/thickly sliced ​​in our opinion, and the avocado swirls were unnecessary. The scallops combined with the gnocci and beans with bacon were great. The Wagyu beef could have been a bit more tender. It was cooked to perfection. The pointed cabbage, the purée, and the jus were excellent. All in all, I thought the value for money was okay. In my opinion, the menu could be offered at a slightly lower price (compared to other restaurants). What I have to say, though, is that the portions were really good, and we were all full. Also, the service was excellent. Very attentive and friendly.

The menu is small, but everything is delicious. We had Wiener Schnitzel, pike-perch, octopus, tomato and bread salad, and portobello. Everything was excellent. Very friendly service. We'll definitely be back.

It's so delicious and the atmosphere is great, but the food takes too long to come out. It took about 3 hours and 30 minutes to 4 hours to eat from starter to main to dessert. There were 11 people in total... They said they only take food orders in advance if there are 16 or more people.

Das Schelds em Oellig hält, was es verspricht: gutbürgerliche Gerichte fein aufbereitet. Von der Einrichtung über die Brotplatte mit Dip und eine kleine Suppe als Gruß aus der Küche, bis hin zu den Gerichten wird das Konzept super umgesetzt. So ein fluffiges Schnitzel hatte ich schon lange nicht mehr und die Hollandaise zu meinem Spargel war ein Träumchen. Die Craftbeer Auswahl ist in so einem Umfeld wirklich etwas Besonderes (unbedingt beibehalten!) und der Service top. Als Biersommelière in Köln sind solche Orte besonders für mich, da Bier-Alternativen zum Kölsch häufig fehlen. Klare Empfehlung.

For us it's a MUST at the women's carnival. great atmosphere, cool audience and fast staff.

We get there for a casual party of Köln Karnival, the team working is so kind and the party was great. No entrance fee, you only pay for drinks, get coupons and everytime submit that.

Update 01/26/25: Ate there for the first time around October 2024 and definitely found the best Wiener Schnitzel in Cologne and the surrounding area so far, including in my life (9.7). The breading is nice and wavy, probably because it has been souffled in plenty of clarified butter. The tender veal is also of very good quality. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 Update here after traveling to Vienna several times on business: It's even better than the schnitzel from notorious Viennese places like "Figlmüller" (9.0) or "Meissl und Schadn" (9.4). Other dishes that I can also highly recommend are the Back-Hendl (9.6) and the legendary, perfect Königsberger Klopse (10.0). Even the side dishes are outstanding. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 As a nice greeting from the kitchen, there were two types of fresh slices of bread with an excellent homemade blue yeast herb dip and a small glass of pumpkin soup. By the way, there is also the best and most refreshing Radler (Reissdorf + Fritz Saure Limo). The service and the young waiters were also extremely friendly and professional. A real gem! The small but very harmonious card leaves nothing to be desired. The Wiener Schnitzel and the side dishes impress with their impeccable quality and great taste. The changing menus always contain a highlight and provide great variety. The service is extremely friendly and super attentive. Eine wunderbare Entscheidung, das Weihnachtsessen unserer Agentur im Schelds zu genießen. Außergewöhnlich ist der tolle Service: aufmerksam, sehr freundlich und zugewandt. Das Gänsemenue und das Schnitzel waren ausgezeichnet, Extrawünsche wurden selbstverständlich erfüllt. Moderne Küche in der Atmosphäre einen Brauhauses, Prima, nur zu empfehlen!

I've been to the Schelds em Öllig three times now and have always been thrilled. The kitchen creates seasonal and, above all, creative dishes on a home-style basis. The menu changes regularly so you can experience new dishes every few weeks. All in all very ambitious. The wine selection is also impressive. Both food and drinks are priced very fairly. One can currently speak of an insider tip in Cologne, even if the Wiener Schnitzel is now known throughout the city.

It was our first time in Schelds em Oellig and it was a great evening. The service was very attentive and very friendly. The food was very good (I can only recommend the schnitzel)! Unfortunately it smelled The whole restaurant depends on the cuisine and accordingly the clothing. That was pretty uncomfortable at home. Maybe there will be a solution ☺️
