The decor is simple but cozy – ideal for enjoying a good Thai meal in peace. ⸻ 🍽️ Food & Taste The menu offers a wide selection of classic Thai dishes: curries (green, red, Massaman), Pad Thai, Tom Yum soup, fried rice and noodle dishes, and various wok specialties. I was particularly impressed by the freshness of the ingredients and the aromatic balance – not too spicy, recommended for beginners and with true flavor explosions for Thai connoisseurs. My favorite: Gaeng Kiew Wan Gai (green chicken curry) – perfectly seasoned, with a creamy coconut flavor and tender meat. The Som Tam salad was also surprisingly crisp, fresh, and pleasantly spicy. ⸻ 🍛 Portions & Value The portions are generous, so you'll still be full even if you eat a bit too salty or hearty. The prices are mid-range for Cologne Thai restaurants—absolutely reasonable for the quality offered. ⸻ 👥 Service The service was friendly and attentive. You feel welcome and well-advised when choosing dishes (please ask about spice levels!). Orders arrived relatively quickly, without feeling rushed. ⸻ ✅ Conclusion Chok Dee Thaiküche is a solid address for authentic Thai food in Cologne—with fresh ingredients, well-seasoned dishes, and a pleasant atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit for all lovers of Asian cuisine.

I'd heard a lot of good things and wanted to try it out. We needed some help choosing the dishes. Unfortunately, some of the staff didn't speak German or didn't have time. My meal was good, but my husband wasn't satisfied. The beef was a bit dry, and the color was gray(!). Does it have to be like that? I don't understand the hype. We certainly won't be regulars.

Super nice and super delicious. I arrived late because I didn't know they closed at 9 p.m., but the chef still came back at 9:05 p.m. and prepared two delicious takeaway dishes. You don't often find that kindness! But that's not an invitation to copy me 😉. It's better to get there early.

Today my wife and I visited this shop for the first time, and I have to say with complete conviction that it was simply amazing. I traveled around Thailand for two months, and the food here tastes exactly like it does there. It's incredibly delicious and arrived extremely quickly, despite the large number of customers. There's a cozy terrace in the back where you can relax and eat, and the restrooms are hygienically clean. This will definitely be our new regular shop, and we'll be visiting once a week. Simply fantastic!

Very tasty, authentic food 😊 It was my first time there since they moved and I was pleasantly surprised by the great courtyard with seating 😎 I can recommend the tofu starter and the glass noodle salad (especially on these warm days 😉) I'd love to go back soon...

I was way late this evening for many reasons and didn't get there hungry until 9pm. The kitchen is open until 9 p.m. I thought it was my mistake and wasn't angry when I was told this. Of course I was a little disappointed (but more at myself because of my scattershot nature). But as I wanted to drive off in my car, an employee came and waved me over. I was given a super delicious dish with tofu just like that. There was still something left. That was so sweet! I'm really grateful for that! I lived in Rath Heumar until 5/6 years ago and always liked driving to the previous location to get something tasty there. Even back then, everyone there was super friendly and I always enjoyed it very much. I will definitely stop by there more often and treat myself to something good.

Following a recommendation, today we tried Chock-Dee, which is almost 25km away. Due to time constraints, we opted for “To-Go”. We ordered 3 dishes to take away. When ordering we were told it would take about 20 minutes. After about 20 minutes the food was ready and my 5-year-old son was given a pack of Rocher for the upcoming Christmas. Food was very tasty. It's definitely not the last time we've been here, it's just a shame that Chock-Dee is almost 25 km away for us.

I've only ever heard positive things about Chok Dee Thai cuisine. But unfortunately this was not confirmed during my visit. The food was mediocre. The ambience was not inviting at all. It was cold in the shop. Whenever customers came in to pick up food, they almost sat on our table.

I had only heard good things about Chok Dee and we were both really looking forward to eating there. Unfortunately a disappointing experience. Pad Krapaow and Som Tam were actually quite okay. But the other two dishes, especially Yam Talay, didn't work at all. It may be that it tastes better when the boss is there and cooks herself. But at the moment I don't think I want to drive across Cologne again to find out...

Very good cuisine. It tastes like Thailand. The store is often busy, but the short waiting times are perfectly acceptable. You can sit well in the back courtyard, it's quiet and you don't notice anything from the main street. This restaurant is also suitable for vegetarians, as many dishes can also be served with meat or optionally with tofu.

I just ordered the 31 with beef 11€ But I ordered with extra tofu and extra shrimp. ? € Once gyoza 7€ And a can of cola, let's say €2.5 Makes €20.50 I paid another €4 for the extras The price was €24.50 And what you see in the photos was there. There was no tofu at all and there was massive savings with beef. Unfortunately I won't be coming here anymore. I feel cheated Especially since I'm happy to pay extra for it A pity

We liked to grab a snack beforehand. Since the owners have moved and even have seating, it's great. The food is just really delicious. Very fresh vegetables, the duck is crispy and juicy, the rice cooked perfectly. Above all, you notice that there is no added glutamate, as we do not have an allergic reaction here. Don't feel guilty after eating it because it's really healthy.
