Doner kebab was really nothing special. Bread was way too crispy and there wasn't much meat in it either. So there was just too much lettuce in there. The service is also not very attentive. One of the waiters is just exhausted and texting privately with some friends instead of taking care of the guests. I don't have to come here again.

We wanted to come to Kudret as a family on Sunday and we're glad we did, the shop was quite crowded, we were 13 people, we bought breakfast, maybe I'm exaggerating, but our waiter, Mustafa, was really great. He did justice to his job. He would come out of his busy days and ask if there was anything we wanted. And he was working alone. I wish everyone had such friendly employees. I was there on Sunday evening, meat was cold, rude staff, they thought I didn't understand Turkish, and I heard and understood the whole insult, very disappointed.

Wir waren heute (also unter der Woche :) zu viert bei Kudret essen und haben den Dönerfleischteller bestellt – das angeblich beliebteste Gericht. Leider müssen wir uns vielen negativen Bewertungen anschließen. Das Essen kam kalt an – was bei einem Döner wirklich unverständlich ist. Wir hatten ausdrücklich gesagt, dass das Fleisch gut durchgegart sein soll, trotzdem war es nicht nur kalt, sondern auch teilweise roh – und damit meinen wir wirklich roh, nicht einfach nur medium. Wir haben das Essen zurückgegeben – und es kam erneut kalt und roh zurück. Der Salat war ebenfalls enttäuschend: Wie auf dem Foto zu sehen ist, waren darin Bestandteile wie Zwiebelhäute, die in einem frischen Salat nichts zu suchen haben. Alle Teller waren beschädigt. Auch das kann man auf den Bildern Erkennen. Zum Ayran: Dieser wurde in einem traditionellen Bakır-Becher serviert, was grundsätzlich schön ist – aber innen nicht mit Kalay (Zinn) beschichtet. Es ist über die Zeit, die Becher neu zu "beschichten" , bevor sie weiter benutzt werden. Ohne Kalay bildet sich unangenehmer Geruch bilden – und es ist auch -gesundheitlich riskant- Und was uns wirklich zusätzlich schockiert hat: Die Einrichtung ist stark renovierungsbedürftig. Es wirkt alles heruntergekommen, nicht gepflegt – Das Gesamtkonzept passt einfach nicht mehr – von vorne bis hinten stimmt hier nichts mehr. Früher war das mal anders. Sehr schade. Wie kann man bitte in einem Gastronomiebetrieb – ganz egal, ob es vor der Toilette ist oder nicht – einfach eine kaputte Kühlung oder einen defekten Sadalet mitten in den Raum stellen? We went to Kudret for dinner as four people on a weekday and ordered the most preferred Döner Meat Plate. Unfortunately, we agree with many negative comments. The food arrived cold – which is truly incomprehensible for a doner kebab. We specifically asked for the meat to be well done, but it was cold and raw in places – and we don't mean "undercooked" here, but really raw. We sent the food back – but it arrived cold and raw again. The salad was also disappointing: As can be seen in the photo, it contained parts that should not be in the salad, such as onion skins. All the plates are broken – this is clearly visible in the images. Ayran was served in a copper glass – which may be a traditional detail. However, the inside was not tinned. Tinning has already become a thing of the past... There was a bad smell due to this situation and it was risky for health anyway. What also surprised us: The interior of the place should be completely renewed and cleaned. Generally neglected and old. In general, nothing is the same anymore. It wasn't like this before. It's a shame. Would a broken cooler or non-working appliance be left lying around like this in a restaurant – whether in front of the restroom or elsewhere? Both the view is terrible and the appetite is gone!!!

I have been to this restaurant several times, but unfortunately the quality of the service has deteriorated significantly. The portions have become smaller, and if you express an extra request or want something separately, you immediately say: “We’re not allowed to do that, otherwise we’ll have stress with the kitchen.” What kind of statement is that? I just asked that the tomato sauce be served separately - it's nothing complicated or unusual. Nevertheless, I was told that this would no longer be possible next time. For a fully occupied restaurant with enough staff, this is very disappointing. Also, some drinks weren't available, with the excuse that it was Saturday the day before and it was too stressful - that sounds like an excuse to me. We also had to wait around 20 minutes for anyone to take our order. Only after I actively spoke to a waiter did anyone come to us - even though there were enough staff present. Overall, the entire process seemed disorganized and not very hospitable. It's a shame because the store actually has potential.

I ate Adana and Döner here. It was really like the flavors in Turkey. The price-taste ratio is great. There was already a volunteer queue for the taste, we waited for half an hour.

It would be best if I gave no star at all! Five of us were there on April 12, 2025 + 1 toddler and 1 infant. Service took over half an hour even though we were sitting right at the grill! Well, I'm mainly writing the review because I felt really sick after eating (Cökertme) and couldn't finish everything. When we got home (we live in Duisburg) I only had diarrhea and stomach cramps, unfortunately! Today is the 3rd day and the diarrhea still continues and I can't take any medication because I'm breastfeeding. Unfortunately, it is not baby-friendly there at all. Baby changing facilities are in the women's toilet, which is also a disabled toilet. It was cleaned with chlorine, which smelled really bad and then I had to change the diapers!!! No thanks!

I ate the steak sandwich kebab in April 2025 on the recommendation of Bernd Zehner. It was said that for this reason alone it was worth a visit to Cologne. Unfortunately I cannot confirm this. Unfortunately, €9 for a relatively small kebab sandwich was too expensive. In addition to the lack of size, I unfortunately also have to complain about the taste of the kebab. The bread resembled a simple bite from Happ Bakery, the meat was very hard and difficult to chew. Unfortunately, the sauce tasted similar to low-fat quark, i.e. very sour and plain. However, you can't say a negative word about tomatoes and lettuce. Overall, the kebab was unfortunately inedible and I didn't finish it, which has never happened to me before. Nevertheless, the staff was mostly very friendly, although they sometimes ignored you when you asked a question. The waiting times were also very long, although the staff tried to shorten them. Because the kebab tastes bad, is too small and is too expensive, I can't recommend the shop and can only give it two stars.

A complete disappointment! I normally live in Belgium, I came to Cologne for sightseeing and I wanted to try this place because of the high scores and comments. But the result was a total fiasco! What they gave was not a doner kebab, but an onion wrap. There was almost no meat, the wrap was filled with onions. While I was waiting for meat in bread, onions in bread arrived! Moreover, they wanted 8.5 euros for this disgrace. What kind of service is this, what kind of portion is this? It was the worst doner kebab I've ever eaten in my life. Don't be fooled by the reviews, I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. What a shame for your money, time and palate!

We were here for the first time, and the colleague Heuer gave us a breakfast menu per head for €15, but there was someone with exactly the same amount (photo) who had this whole breakfast to himself, and we got a breakfast menu for 3 people, the other paid €15 and we had to pay €45, so that was really a good rip-off, we'll never come here again

Pretty good food, but definitely overrated

Food at Kudret was really delicious! The meat was extremely seasoned, the side dishes were fresh and the sauces – especially the hot ones – were really good. Bread was nice and warm and fluffy. The only small detraction: a bit too much fat in the meat. Otherwise great, would definitely go again!

Unfortunately, the food was cold and after going back and forth three times, it didn't taste any better. It wasn't an isolated incident and it also happened at the tables next to us and apparently something like that happens often, as you can see from the reviews, it's outrageous. It was hardly touched and the price was not met either. Of the two teas promised, only one arrived. It's better to spend your money at Kebapland a few meters away!! We will never enter this store again.

Service may be a little slow due to the month of Ramadan, you have to tolerate it, after all, it gets stressful during iftar. The food is delicious, so I gave it a high score, but I think it's a shame that neither dates nor water are offered to the customers during Ramadan.

The girl who served us was very friendly! But: a kebab plate and a lahmacum with a bit of meat and two drinks – 42 euros??? And what for, please? The meat was cold and you would have needed a spoon to eat it - it was almost impossible to use a fork because of the tiny pieces! We're never coming back! Over-tightened arches break!

We stopped by during our trip to Cologne from Istanbul for a few days. We ate Çökertme and İskender. It was way above my expectation. There was almost no pita in Iskender. The portion is huge and full of meat :). It was delicious in both dishes.

Üzlem was a great waitress and Ebru is very friendly and gave us a good table. Plus the wait wasn't long (on a Friday evening). Always my pleasure

The best thing about the kebab was the bread! was fresh! This doner stick was oversalted and absolutely bad! The sauce was supposed to be spicy but it was a cocktail sauce with heat, sweet and spicy, disgusting! I test kebab and this was even worse than the one from Haus des Döner!

I was there today after the store was hyped online. The furnishings fit the concept perfectly and are modern. I sat down at a table where four people had just stood up. It took a minute until an employee asked me if I wanted to sit at another table. When I said no, the waitress in charge immediately came and wiped the table and advised me immediately. The food was served quickly and tasted very good. The order came with 3 yoghurt pastes and bread for free. But because I got a call and had to leave urgently, I asked the waitress (she said her name was Özlem) to pack my food. This wasn't a problem and she even asked if she should pack the bread with dip for me too. Very accommodating. I can't find anything negative about the food, service or restaurant. Rightly 5 stars! But in the stress I forgot to tip! But I'll definitely be back!

We were at Kudr-Et for the first time because of all the hype on social media. The employees are very unfriendly. While others were allowed to eat their kebab sandwiches inside, we were sent outside to eat. The reason was that only plated meals were allowed to be eaten inside. Apparently it is chosen which customer is treated and how. Customer is king and everyone should be treated that way.

I discovered this restaurant through a social media video - and it was totally worth it! The Çökertme Kebab was very, very tasty - a dish that you don't get everywhere and is simply great. The waiting time (about 15 minutes before I got a table) was absolutely fine for a Friday evening in this location (keyword Kebabland). I was greeted and served very friendly. The cozy interior creates a great atmosphere – far away from the typical snack bar charm. At the end there was delicious tea on the house. I'll definitely be back. Clear recommendation!

I have to describe it like this so that everyone understands! Some only care about how it tastes, some only care about service! Reception was very much to be desired! Waiters stand in front of the door 50cm from my table and argue about who has to serve how many tables, very loudly and extremely annoying! The lady who looked like a manager simply had no function!!! We arrived at 4:41 p.m., The first waiter who asked us something was 4:53 p.m We weren't allowed to enjoy a doner sandwich at the table! Doner kebab was only available to take away! Which is why people had to order kebab plates for €13.90! We have 1x mixed plates 1x kebab plate 1x HackPide Doner meat is tasteless (taste neutral) no salt no spice! Adana, köfte, ribs meat tasted very good! Except for this, the service, service and ambience were disappointing! Whenever I look at reviews I miss prices! I have uploaded a complete photo of the menu! Would I visit this store again? Unfortunately our expectations were not met. Since it is common here to share a 4-person table with strangers, we were seated with another couple. If we hadn't had a longer journey, we would have left immediately. After we sat down, we were immediately given a basket of fresh bread, without mentioning that this bread and other little things cost a flat rate of €10. This was not stated anywhere, whether on the menu or on the table. After we ate the expected "greetings from the kitchen" like at an Italian restaurant, we were informed that it costs €10. Since a small divider with vegetables was missing from our table, the waitress from another table took it away and gave us the old thing. The main meal was fine, the only thing that bothered me was the thick pieces of fat. However, I absolutely don't understand the hype here. The portion was too small in relation to the price. This snack bar is ok, but not worth the extra trip here. At this price, you should visit a real Turkish restaurant where you also get quality and ambience.

There were six of us and we ate at Kudret for the first time. I had çökertme since it was recommended. I have to say it was very tasty. However, the food arrived at the table quite cold for all of us, and after 10 minutes it was no longer edible as it became ice cold. For some of us, the food was way too oily. The waiters are all very relaxed, it would be nice to be a little friendlier for the customers.

If you love Turkish cuisine, you have to go to Kudr-et! Excellent food, friendly service, especially the waitress Ebru, and a great ambience make it one of the best restaurants in the city.
