Unfortunately, I can only agree with some of the previous speakers. I personally cannot understand the predominantly positive reviews. The ambience is really successful, and after the renovation the acoustics are much more pleasant. The food is – as usual – excellent and remains the only reason for us to visit this restaurant. In fact, we have often decided to visit because of the good food, but often ended up choosing an alternative because of the poor service. The service is simply underground. Although there were a total of five employees present, who obviously had different areas of responsibility, we had to wait a full ten minutes after being greeted when we entered the restaurant until someone took care of us - even though we were obviously noticed. The blonde waitress was particularly noticeable. Her disinterest and unsympathetic manner towards the guests were hard to miss. She also made a downright unfriendly, almost annoyed impression, which made the visit unnecessarily unpleasant. We have had such experiences many times, especially with her. Also acquaintances. It was already obvious that the customers were being “blasphemed” and made fun of. You can also often see them on their cell phones while customers wait to be served. What a shame! Only conditionally recommended.

Went to the blue goat on Petersberg with my cousin this evening. We two people from Petersberg wanted to go out for a delicious horse meatball, like we used to do in Fulda at “Kerns Jakob”. When we entered the restaurant there were only 3 tables occupied, ok, we thought... that's just how it is today. The service was very friendly and accommodating and took our order, everything was at the highest level. Then came the food, which looked like a poem, the sauce was dark brown. Then the first bite into the horse dumpling, totally over salted, actually inedible. The fries and salad were great, but the meatballs were terrible. When the waitress asked if everything was OK, we expressed our displeasure, but there was no response from the kitchen. The chef walked past our table 3-4 times, but not a word from him, that's very lowbrow. I invited my cousin here this evening because I wanted to do him a favor in the form of horse pats like we knew them from our childhood, we wanted to have a nice evening, that was probably nothing. To top it off, I wanted an espresso shortly after eight, the answer...oh, I'm sorry, we've just cleaned the machine...all right, Mr. Nitsche, that's no way to impress guests, we were probably here for the last time.
