On December 6th, 2015 I had dinner at the Adler in the old post office as part of a birthday party. Right at the beginning there was homemade goose fat with white bread, the lard was very tasty. The amuse-gueule consisted of a fish pie with some salmon and a cream, which was also not a given, which made it all the more enjoyable. As a starter I had a Riesling soup with salmon, then as a main course I had fried goose leg with red cabbage and dumplings and as dessert a variation of semolina dumplings with nougat and walnut ice cream. I have to say that I haven't eaten so well in a long time. The starter was very tasty and the goose leg was super crispy and tender at the same time. Sauce and dumplings were also very tasty. The dessert was a successful composition and also a delight for the palate. It's often the little things that make the difference. For example, I'm happy when the espresso cup is preheated and there's a nice crema on the espresso or when you can choose from three sugars, what more could your heart want. The service was very natural and friendly. I would love to come back, definitely one of the best addresses in Weinheim.

Für mich einer der schönsten Plätze auf dem Heimweg von der Werkstatt. Meistens komme ich gegen 22:00 Uhr kurz mit dem Hund rein auf ein Getränk. Ich liebe die entspannte Atmosphäre und die offene Zuwendung der Menschen, die hier arbeiten. Zum Feierabend hin finden die Vorbereitung für den nächsten Tag statt, man bekommt immer etwas zu essen und einen Drink angeboten. Weinheim ist eine Perle an der Bergstraße, mit vielen Gastr,schönheiten vom Marktplatz bis zur Burg. Die Bistronauten sind ein Geschenk für jeden, der gutes Essen und feine Getränke liebt.

My recommendation here is always good for chicken. Unfortunately, the restaurant will close at the end of November 2025. So if you still want to experience it, don't go. I recommend calling in advance because chicken isn't served every day and it's best to reserve a seat because there's usually something going on here. Opens from 5 p.m. Price performance good, nice service 👍 in the summer you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view.

I've been here regularly for over a year. I have found the food here to be consistently good since my first visit. I particularly like the owner's extremely friendly approach to customers. We ordered vegetarian kebabs, which weren't bad in themselves. However, the filling only consisted of lettuce and some sheep's cheese, which is rather boring for a vegetarian kebab these days. A bit of vegetables or falafel would have given the kebab more variety and taste. However, the landlord was very nice.

Das „Esszimmer“ ist mittlerweile eine Konstante in Weinheim, wohl etabliert und beliebt. Man sollte bereit sein, sich auf einen langen, entspannten Genussabend einzustellen mit vielen unerwarteten, aber meist überzeugenden Produktkombinationen. Die Weinbegleitung ist einzigartig auf die Speisen abgestimmt, und es empfiehlt sich, die Weine erst zu kosten, wenn das Gericht vor einem steht. Wir drücken die Daumen für den ersten, wohlverdienten, Michelin-Stern! Der Service ist freundlich und makellos, das Ambiente familiär.
