On December 6th, 2015 I had dinner at the Adler in the old post office as part of a birthday party. Right at the beginning there was homemade goose fat with white bread, the lard was very tasty. The amuse-gueule consisted of a fish pie with some salmon and a cream, which was also not a given, which made it all the more enjoyable. As a starter I had a Riesling soup with salmon, then as a main course I had fried goose leg with red cabbage and dumplings and as dessert a variation of semolina dumplings with nougat and walnut ice cream. I have to say that I haven't eaten so well in a long time. The starter was very tasty and the goose leg was super crispy and tender at the same time. Sauce and dumplings were also very tasty. The dessert was a successful composition and also a delight for the palate. It's often the little things that make the difference. For example, I'm happy when the espresso cup is preheated and there's a nice crema on the espresso or when you can choose from three sugars, what more could your heart want. The service was very natural and friendly. I would love to come back, definitely one of the best addresses in Weinheim.

As managing director of Mühlfeld Immobilien in Weinheim, I take part in the city of Weinheim's young entrepreneurs' meeting every month. Philipp Kögel also introduced himself at the last meeting and reported on the move of his restaurant “Adler” from Mannheim-Feudenheim to Weinheim at Alte Postgasse 53. That of course made me curious, so we had dinner there yesterday. We really liked it: great service, delicious and fresh cuisine and a cozy atmosphere. A real alternative to the many restaurants on the market square. We'll be back!

On Christmas Day we were in Weinheim and visited this cozy place and we felt very comfortable, the service, food, service and ambience were very pleasant. We, two people, were there without a reservation, but we still got a cozy place inside. We chose correctly that day, the tarte flambée and baked sheep's cheese tasted excellent, we think Weinheim is very nice and will be back soon, also to this beautiful restaurant. Was our second visit in 2024.

I have to get this out of my mouth now: Efe Baba makes the best kebab far and wide. And super friendly too. Great. Every time again.

Auch "eifrige" Restaurantbesucher können doch immer noch etwas Neues kennen- und schätzen lernen... Freunde hatten uns zu den "Bistronauten" eingeladen, die es wohl schon länger als 10 Jahre gibt, uns Vieren jedoch bisher entgangen waren. Das Ambiente gefiel uns allen auf Anhieb - das wunderschön restaurierte Gebäude, der Ausstattungsmix aus Industriestil und altem Bahnhofsfundus, die offene Küche... Der locker-professionelle und freundliche Service erklärte uns das Menü-Konzept: Suppe, gemeinsame Salatschüssel für alle, Wahl zwischen Fisch/Fleisch/Vegetarisch und Wahl zwischen süßem Dessert und Rohmilchkäse. Für alle, die beim Essen nicht überrascht werden möchten, hier der Hinweis, dass die jeweils aktuelle Karte z.B. auf FB einsehbar ist. Wir entschieden uns beim Hauptgericht für das Hällische Eichelmastschwein und die Odenwälder Lachsforelle, beides mit interessanten Beilagen kombiniert und sehr lecker. Dazu ein Weißburgunder aus der regional orientierten Weinkarte... Wasser wird kostenlos serviert. Das Restaurant war gut besucht. Eine Reservierung ist also mit Sicherheit angebracht. Parkplätze gibt es vor der Tür. Aber da wir während des Essens das Kommen und "Gehen" der OEG beobachten konnten (keinesfalls störend), denken wir für den nächsten Besuch tatsächlich über eine Anreise per Bahn nach.

I've been here regularly for over a year. I have found the food here to be consistently good since my first visit. I particularly like the owner's extremely friendly approach to customers. They are really always active in the interests of satisfied customers. Thank you very much for your hospitable manner.
