Atmosphere very cozy and welcoming with extremely friendly staff. The food this time was simply delicious.

We would have ordered the table buffet for 2 people consisting of 3 starters and 3 main courses. The corridors differed slightly from the description on the internet, but this is pointed out. Every course was tasty and refined and we were very satisfied. The prices are certainly high. But we found it adequate and will be happy to come back.

Great location in the castle courtyard, run by very nice and competent restaurateurs. The menu is small but very fine and offers colorful, diverse, fresh and delicious food. There is also a selection of Palatinate wines. We and our 15 year old daughter (!) had a lot of fun. We'd love to come back!

We landed at the top of the Wachenburg hungry and were happy to be able to order food in the last few minutes before the kitchen closed at 4 p.m. The prices weren't super cheap, but the food was so convincing that it was absolutely worth it. We can recommend the bread dumplings with a clear conscience! Happy to come back :)

The food was very good and filling. After the short ride we were already full, but we also wanted to try the big ride, which we didn't quite manage to do. We were just a bit surprised as we thought the price of the big trip would be in total rather than per person, which is actually misinterpreted on the map. Also because the trip offers less quantity than the small portions. So you have to pay more here, but you can try everything. So for two you can quickly reach over €100

Restaurant in the middle/on and in the Wachenburg in Weinheim. We also received fairly friendly service and despite a mishap, the employees were pretty friendly. Highly recommended 👌

Finally a location in a historical ambience where everything is right: food and drinks, service, location! The new operators at the Wachenburg are pursuing a concept that also makes guests with demands beyond the usual fries, bratwurst and schnitzel offer (not available here, thank you!) happy. We didn't expect it to be so good and we'll definitely be back! We wish the team much success!

First of all, a warm welcome. Table as ordered. Good advice when choosing food. Super Service. The eye is with you can only say. Little ride was delicious.

An invitation brought us here and we were very excited about the concept. Since we were hungry, we ordered the big tour straight away and would have listened better to the reviews. After the rich and very tasty starters we were full and had to reorder, which wasn't a problem at all. The service is extremely courteous. Thank you for that. We then ordered 2 small main courses, which weren't exactly small either. But extremely tasty. Unfortunately we were no longer able to eat dessert. Next time then. We can highly recommend the restaurant, it was a very nice evening on the terrace with the music and an all-round successful evening.

We were very happy with the quality and service. At the table buffet, bowls were served for 4 people each. Unfortunately there were only 3 pieces of meat or 3 pieces of fish in the bowls, so an appropriate division was not possible. Although it was refilled once, the portions were overall very stingy. That put a bit of a damper on what was otherwise a very nice evening.

Super nicely decorated and very friendly staff. Unfortunately we can't say anything about the food as we didn't eat anything. But we'll definitely come hungry next time 😉

We walked up to the castle on Easter Monday. The effort was worth it. The food was delicious and the service was very nice and attentive. We'd love to come back. Dogs are also welcome!

There should be a little more vegetarian food in the range

We really liked the concept of sharing dishes together and it was a refreshing change. We liked the food very much and was varied. On the same day I asked for a vegetarian alternative to the Easter menu, which was implemented without any problems. The service was also very friendly and quick. We'd love to come back :)

The quality in quantity for this price is simply unbeatable! We were in a group of ten people in the castle tavern. Some of them for the first time. Everyone was absolutely thrilled and had a great evening. The “new” ones come back, the old ones anyway!

Update 2/24: Still the best restaurant with the most friendly staff and the tastiest food. Always my pleasure. Best restaurant I know. The staff is great, always friendly, super personable, not too pushy, quick and controlled. Great waiting time, great ambience, great staff, great food. The prices are more than justified for this quality and are in no way overpriced. And the best for last, the food...I've never eaten as good as I did there in my life. The chef is brilliant, the food is always on point, beautifully prepared and superbly portioned. There is something for everyone and thanks to the manageable menu you won't be overwhelmed with the choice. The changing menu is a great concept and the steak evening was a very successful change with the perfect quality that you are used to there. I can and will recommend everyone to eat at Kaiser and Flick. Update 11/23: Everything perfect as always.

Great food! The cuisine at the Burgschenke is upscale, exceptionally flexible and delicious. It is particularly recommended to go on a “big trip”: 3 different starters and 3 different main courses, and all in generous quantities. In the warm season there is also rustic catering in the castle courtyard for hikers or those who are a little hungry (but I'm not sure what the opening times are exactly). There is always a great view over the Rhine plain.

We were there for lunch on Sunday lunchtime. The small crossing was just right for 2 people. Consisting of buratta, Caesar salad, ox cheek ragout and cabbage roulade. The taste was really great and it was beautifully prepared too. We would love to come back

Excellent cuisine. The quality comes at a price, but in my opinion it is worth every cent. From the greeting to the service to the farewell, super friendly staff (waiters and cooks). Were there on New Year's Eve to eat and celebrate. The view of the fireworks was unparalleled. We've eaten there again since then and will eat there more often in the future. Everything perfect! A dream!

Das gastronomische Konzept ist stimmig ("Hafenrundfahrt" als Menü). Wir hatten die große Hafenrundfahrt und konnten uns somit durch alles durchprobieren. Die Speisen haben eine hohe Qualität und sind durch die Bank lecker. Die Dame im Service war ebenfalls schnell und aufmerksam. Das Gesamtpaket rechtfertigt den höheren Preis.

Tolles Essen, guter Wein, professionelles und sympathisches Team! Mega dass die Burg in Weinheim wieder so belebt ist…

Immer wieder lecker hier!! Ob mit Freunden im Kreise der Tabler oder als Pärchen mit sehr gutem Essen zu einem besonderen Anlass. Gerne auch mal fragen, was nicht auf der Karte steht und sich z.B. als vielseitiger Vorspeisenteller zaubern lässt.

Sehr aufmerksames und professionelles Team, überraschende und großartig schmeckende Gerichte im Restaurant, stimmiges Ambiente auch im Aussenbereich und insbesondere der einzige Sonnenuntergangsweitblick im weiten Umkreis - der mit dem separaten großen Bar-, Bier-garten geteilt wird! Eine echte Bereicherung!

Wunderschöne Burgschenke, erstklassiges raffiniertes Essen und Unterhaltung

Wir waren gestern zum ersten Mal, und sicherlich nicht zum letzten Mal bei Kaiser & Flick im Restaurant auf der Wachenburg. Zunächst wurden wir durch einen der Besitzer des Restaurant sehr freundlich begrüßt. Er übergab uns die Getränkekarte sowie die Menükarte, welche er uns entsprechend ausführlich erklärte. Nachdem wir uns entschlossen was wir essen wollten, haben wir dies bei der sehr freundlichen Bedienung bestellt. Als das Essen kam, waren wir optisch davon schon sehr angetan. Es hat uns wunderbar geschmeckt. Wir hatten die "Kleine Hafenrundfahrt", welche aus 4 Gängen bestand. Es gibt auch noch die große "Hafenrundfahrt" die aus 7 Gängen besteht. Zwischendurch wurden wir immer wieder gefragt, ob alles Recht ist. Schlussum wir hatten einen schönen Abend, schönes Ambiente, toller Gastgeber sowie super Essen. Weiter so, wir kommen wieder.

Ich war das erste Mal da und positiv überrascht: Erst Windeck, dann Wachenburg und was erwartet man? Bier/Wein und Snack... Das ist ein richtig gutes Restaurant! Außergewöhnliche Gerichte auf den ersten Blick... Aber wir haben Fisch, Roastbeef und einen Salat gehabt und die Zutaten waren perfekt abgestimmt. Das war deutlich mehr, als man erwarten konnte.

Top Location mit mega Ausblick, essen war super, hier bei Nacht oder Hochzeiten sind bestimmt richtig geil=)

Wie immer sehr gutes Essen in herrlichem Ambiente und trotz unerwartetem Besucherandrang und Personalknappheit, freundlicher Service.

Hervorragendes Abendessen. Wir hatten das Steak und Pulpo und waren begeistert. Auch der Service sehr zuvorkommend und auch charmant. Und natürlich dazu das Ambiente der Wachenburg. Natürlich muss man erst mal zur Burg hochfahren, aber man kann die Einkehr ja hervorragend verbinden mit einer kleiner Wanderung im Odenwald oder einfach mit einer Burgbesichtigung.

Wir hatten einen tollen Abend mit ganz wunderbarem Essen. Wir kommen bald wieder.

Wonderful restaurant. Had the best steak I have eaten in ages and at a fair price. Wine was excellent too. The atmosphere has a lovely mixture of new and old and the view from the castle is amazing. Will definitely be going there more often.

Sehr leckeres Essen in heimeliger Atmosphäre. Sowohl der Fisch wie auch das Fleisch waren phantastisch. Gute Weinauswahl zu vernünftigen Preisen.

Wir haben die Steaks ausprobiert und das US Angus gegessen. Das Steak war schlicht und einfach PERFEKT!!! Besser geht es selbst in den USA nicht. Wer sehr gute Steaks mag der muss es ausprobieren, auch wenn die Fahrt hoch zur Wachenburg etwas lästig ist. Es lohnt sich! Preis/Leistung: sehr gut Der Service: freundlich, kompetent und gut.

Meine Mutter, mein Sohn und ich waren heute zu Gast. Wir sind immernoch positivst geflashed: Top Location, Top Ambiente, Top Konzept, Top Service (sowohl von den Inhabern, als auch der jungen Dame - unauffällig, charmant, Top beratend) und Top Qualität und Quantität der Speisen: von der kleinen Hafenrundfahrt, über das Ochsen-Roastbeef bis zum Nachtisch inkl. aller Getränke 👍 - die Burgschenke lebt ein Top Konzept! BRAVO - weiter so wir und ich kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Merci Beaucoup.

Ein super wunderbare Vorspeisenvariation. Abwechslungsreich, anders. Hauptspeise - Rinderbraten mit Steinilzen (?) war zäh, salzig, nichts besondes. Schade.

Waren heute hocherfreut, dass die Burg und das Restaurant Burgschenke uns eine hochwillkommene, kulinarische Pause auf unserer Wanderung ermöglicht hat. Wir sind viel länger gebliebenm als zuerst gedacht. Sehr gut. Die Burgschenke ist in der Wachenburg, die vollständig erhalten ist (sie ist auch erst ca. 100 Jahre alt) Allein deshalb schon außergewöhnlich. Leute dort sehr freundlich, flexibel, kompetent, sehr gute Küche - eine absolute Empfehlung.
