We celebrated our tenth anniversary here. We had reserved a table in advance. A bouquet of flowers was also prepared upon request and placed on the table. The food tasted very good. Was a good choice for such an event. Dessert was served in a darkened restaurant with sparklers and happy anniversary written on the plates. We were very happy about it.

Very tasty food. Decent portions at reasonable prices. Very nice service. Only the lighting could be a bit warmer and not so bright/cold, it would make the restaurant more comfortable, but ultimately you don't come to a restaurant because of the lighting 😉

Very nice staff and good value for money. Not great murderers but fitting. The location is good and you can park right in front of it.

We were in the Rössle in July with 5 motorcyclists. Everyone was very satisfied, so we have already inquired again for next year. Thank you for the warm welcome and the good care

The shipyard offers great food that is creatively, sustainably, regionally and tastefully prepared and created. The menu always changes depending on the season and there are always vegetarian or vegan options. The atmosphere as well as the prices are at an upscale level, which corresponds to the holistic cuisine.

If you like it quiet with a view of the marina and Lake Constance, this is the place for you. Super great hotel. Comfort rooms are well equipped with a couch, closet, television, table and 2 chairs, double bed and a large bathroom with rain shower. Balcony also large with a table and 2 chairs. Breakfast is sufficient and there is something for everyone. The food in the restaurant was also great. Service and staff very friendly and helpful. Would come again and again.

The food is upscale and of really good quality: the tuna steak was fried to perfection, the salad was made with fresh ingredients and a fine dressing - the composition of the ingredients was also very harmonious. The children had Wiener Schnitzel with potato wedges, everything was good here too, as was the starter: bread with various dips and olive oil - big praise for the high-quality and great olive oil! The ambience impresses with an unbeatable view of Lake Constance. We were able to enjoy our meal in the sunset, it couldn't be better. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired, at least with our waitress: there was hardly anything going on, but it still took 10 minutes for the dirty dishes to be cleared away. The empty bottles and glasses that were no longer needed were only cleared away after repeated inquiries. To get to the dishes, the waiter reached across the table. When we wanted to have the menu to choose the dessert, the waiter came after 5 minutes (without a menu) to take our order for the dessert. In summary: inattentive, mediocre friendly and not a professional. To save our honor: The other waiter, who unfortunately didn't serve us, seemed better. We had thought about spending our next Lake Constance holiday at the Sonnenhof, but are now unsure: what if the rest of the service is the same?

Great ambience, the lake view is really nice. The food is well prepared and overall very good. Unfortunately, all the meat didn't convince me. The deer was very tough. The dry age steak, ordered medium, was still very rare and unfortunately not particularly tender. The steak knife had to really work. I would prefer a smaller steak of better quality. The turkey strips on my wife's salad also benefited from a minute in the pan; they looked like they had just come out of the sous vide device 😕 In terms of taste, everything was very good, but with the drawback mentioned above.

We were there shortly before closing. The food was fantastic and the service was really nice. Prices were as usual. I had the grilled vegetables, my husband had sausage salad. We were totally disappointed to hear that the operator was closing. There were reports of problems with the landlord. I mean, it's the Motorboat Club at the harbor. To be honest, I can't understand how an owner can let such a good chef go. Totally stupid. The ambience is a bit strange. Seems slightly snobby. The only drawback. It might seem a little more “normal”.

The food is always of consistent quality and the portions are appropriate for the price. The service, however, is unreasonable. Some may like the "brisk" service, but I find it impossible when people ask for my order in a commanding tone. When the food is brought, the plate should be placed in front of the guest and not simply left at the end of the table as they walk past.

Pizza was great and prepared quickly and the guy helped us by speaking some English.

Sitting in a cozy, enchanted beer garden and eating tasty potato and cucumber salad with Maultaschen or veal bratwurst with Eton Mess for dessert has a very special charm. And the host couple cultivates this place in a very personal and loving way. To take away there are syrups, fruit spreads and pastries - all homemade. A Great Little Place!

Right at the beginning I would like to mention the reason for the bad rating. When we walked into the restaurant today at 6:30 p.m. it smelled like cigarette smoke. We were obviously the first guests, the staff sat at a table and watched TV. Then we made the mistake and stayed. We didn't like the fish platters we ordered in the least and at best served to satisfy our hunger. For this “experience” we paid over 70 euros including 3 beers. This won't happen to us again!
