A really great place, really good food, good service and a view of the lake

As is often the case on vacation, my wife, our little Jack Russell and I were looking for a location in the evening and came across the 1919 shipyard. I'm not understating when I say it couldn't be better. The taste cannot be surpassed and is prepared with a lot of love and a very good eye, as we all know. The team worked very well together and the “good soul” of the house was a really nice guy who exuded incredible calm and professionalism. You felt like you were in really good hands from start to finish. You MUST have been here.

Food at the wedding was great. Really friendly stuff. Problem to find parking right in front of the building.

Full marks! Diesel Location is a dream. I was able to provide musical accompaniment to a wedding there. The shipyard is ideal for a free wedding ceremony with a special charm. The rooms are both modern, elegant and cozy. The owners run the shipyard in 1919 with attention to detail and very good cuisine. You can also eat very well here. The service is very warm and courteous and the technology on site is excellent. I'm already looking forward to the next wedding there.

Our experience in the shipyard was very mixed. At the end of the evening, the price-performance ratio was unfortunately not right for us. Maybe good weather and staying in the area with a direct lake view would have made the experience a little better. The food is of good quality, well crafted and tasted good, but unfortunately nothing more. We ate much better for a lot less money. Everything was done in a very “hip” way and the loud “music” was simply unbearable in our opinion. I generally have no problem with electronic music and in a bar we wouldn't have found it so disturbing. However, we just wanted to have a good meal and not visit a club or a cocktail bar. But that's how it seemed. It may be that hipsters like this kind of atmosphere, but unfortunately we don't. The food deserves four stars because of the regionality and craftsmanship, but because of the ambience I can personally only give it 3 stars overall. However, tastes and views vary greatly.

Were there for a wedding. Location is outstanding, view of the lake and the Alps. Services very attentive and friendly. Food, snacks, drinks, everything was great. Familiar, simple dishes but very tasty with good ingredients. Of course I can't say anything about the price, but as a guest 5/5 stars

Wir haben mit Freunden einen Geburtstag gefeiert. Es war alles perfekt. Zum Empfang die Longdrinks und die Tapas. Danach Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeise. Das Essen, die Bedienung und das Ambiente waren stimmig und ausgezeichnet. Die Gastronomie Werft1919 ist allen zu empfehlen, die etwas besonderes erleben möchten.

In September I was at this location for the first time as a wedding photographer. Here is a short report on our experience as a service provider. The service was terrific. All the employees were friendly and I always had the feeling that everyone enjoyed their job and did it with joy. The location with the view is sensational. Especially the covered version with a view of Lake Constance is a dream. This means couples don't need a plan B if it rains. That's an absolute plus point! The food was sensational and on point! Really all the guests felt comfortable. I don't have any information about prices. As a photographer, the location also offers countless opportunities for couple shoots. This location is an absolute recommendation!

Very good food with excellent value for money. Very attentive service and a really great ambience rounded off an all-round lovely and successful evening. The view of the lake is particularly great. Absolutely recommended. For us it is by far the best restaurant in Kressbronn. :)

Great location, you sit very nicely, whether in the restaurant or on the loungers. We had dinner here. Starter was great, vegetable field 2.0 (oven vegetables) consisted mostly of peppers (a little sweet potato and zucchini) and was not well seasoned. We had to wait a long time for the food, but they apologized, but only because we had mentioned it. Panini in the kiosk are super delicious and it's great to sit right by the lake.

A few days ago I was able to marry a wedding couple in the beautiful 1919 shipyard. I was really looking forward to it and everything was just right there. The coordination with Julius and Johannes in advance was great, which I unfortunately know differently from other locations. The communication was great and uncomplicated. Everything about the outdoor wedding itself went wonderfully, from the seating to the renovation and technology. The shipyard is really something special, with the lake in the background, beautiful rooms with a very special character. Everything was very professional and quick, but with a lot of love and warmth. Thanks to the entire team - I'm really looking forward to being able to meet you again and wish you and the whole team all the best until then, have a good time and, above all, keep it up. Es ist ein nettes Ambiente ohne jede Frage, das Personal war nett. Wir besuchten dieses Restaurant bereits vor 2 Jahren während eines Aufenthalten in der Region. Für mein Empfinden kann in dieser Preisklasse erwarten, dass auf die Wünsche der Gäste eingegangen wird! Bei einem Preis von 35 Euro und man kann eine Beilage nicht austauschen bin ich gelinde gesagt etwas konsterniert. In Zeiten in denen es viele Probleme mit Allergien und Unverträglichkeiten gibt ist meine Erwartungshaltung in dieser Preisklasse ganz klar. Am Ende fanden wir das Essen OK, ich kann mir aber nicht vorstellen das dies der Anspruch sein kann.

Totally cool place. Very nicely prepared. You can feel the charm of the old Bodan shipyard and yet it is a nice place to relax and unwind.

Absolute recommendation! We got married here at the weekend and everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The employees (big praise to Julius!!!) are incredibly friendly and try to fulfill your wishes as quickly and well as possible :-). The food and drinks were also delicious. We don't even have to start with the location - it's a dream! Thank you again!!

We celebrated our free wedding in the shipyard. The whole thing was a dream! Starting with the service: Julius exudes calm and composure no matter the situation. Everything went completely smoothly. The location itself with the decoration and the structure of the facility - breathtaking Drinks and food were also very, very good We can recommend the shipyard exactly as it is. Fairytale-like images are created and are an absolute highlight for every occasion.

very cool location right on the water, logo, it was once a shipyard. And you can still see that. Culture, great food and great people in an authentic, yet modern environment.

We hosted a design software event here and are extremely satisfied. From the super cool location, to the very nice, helpful and pragmatic hosts, waiters and employees, to the very good food at lunchtime, we didn't miss anything here. Thank you and gladly again!

This place is truly exceptional. A small, fine restaurant has been built in the old Bodan shipyard. The cuisine is delicious, the ambience with a mix of modern and old elements, plus Lake Constance... simply great.

I decided relatively spontaneously to go out to dinner with my parents in the 1919 shipyard. I then sent a reservation request online and received a response super quickly. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere by the lake is beautiful. The food is very tasty and the desserts and the homemade drinks also taste great. The service staff are very friendly, courteous and charming. It was fun to stay here, we were very impressed and definitely recommend it. Great location!

We were four people for dinner. Ordered food at 7 p.m. in a practically empty restaurant. Food received at 9 p.m....! The waiter came twice and said it would take longer. All other guests who came after us have received their food in the meantime. No apology, nothing was offered and last but not least, when you were about to pay, it occurred to the waiter that there was still wine in the bottle... The food: the rice was so dry, as if it had been warmed up from the day before. It's a shame about the evening...

The Werft 1919 is a wonderful restaurant on Lake Constance in Baden-Württemberg. A table reservation is recommended as this is a popular destination. The cuisine is known for its excellent quality and variety. In addition to enjoying delicious food and drinks, you have the opportunity to visit the impressive Bodan shipyard. Ambience and service were really great - fish soup was bland, game meat was dry. Not appropriate for the price - a shame! Das Ambiente in der alten Werft gefällt uns sehr gut. Es ist trotz der Halle sehr gemütlich. Service sehr freundlich und kompetent. Wir waren mit unserem Hund dort ( Reserviert) und auch für ihn war gesorgt..Danke ! Aperitif- mit Sandornsiruo war Mega lecker ! Essen war wie angekündigt, regional, frisch zubereitet und geschmacklich sehr gut! Wir durften zwei Weine vor der Bestellung kosten, ein sehr guter Gastservice ? Weinauswahl könnte noch etwas verbessert werden.

Uniquely beautifully decorated old industrial facility - it could be on the Hudson River in New York :) Great team, warm hosts through and through, very tasty food - curling with a view of the lake - we had a great pre-Christmas event there. Stupendo! Incantevole! Magico per la storia che ha alle spalle! Trasformato in maniera perfetta il vecchio cantiere navale e sempre presente anche se oggi e un punto di riferimento per ogni occasione tra ristorante e bar e molto oltre! Per non parlare del event location!

Wir kamen auf Empfehlung - und unsere Erwartungen wurden sogar weit übertroffen. Hier stimmt alles. Das Ambiente ist außergewöhnlich. Wir wurden sehr aufmerksam und herzlich bedient. An sich sehr geile Location. Optisch ein absolutes Highlight. Jedoch sind wir im Sachen Essen nicht zufrieden. Preis/Leistung passen leider nicht. Die Kinderkarte gibt's wohl nur abends.

Eigentlich war beim Abendessen alles super! Der Service war freundlich und ging flexibel auf Änderungswünsche ein, das Essen war lecker und der Hauswein voll ok. Preis leicht gehoben, aber angemessen. Ambiente der ehemaligen Werft ist sowieso einen Besuch wert. Der Besuch war vorbei und wir waren voll zufrieden. Das Ärgernis kam mit der Mail im Anschluss. Wir wurden um eine Bewertung gebeten, negative Erfahrungen möge man ihnen doch bitte persönlich mitteilen. „Negative Online-Bewertungen“ würden der Branche nicht weiterhelfen. Schade. Das gute Bild dahin. Es geht nicht um pauschale negative Kritik, aber wenn es eine berechtigte Kritik gibt, gehört die auch in ein Onlineportal. Sorry, unser Fokus liegt auf interessierten Besuchern und nicht nur auf der Gastrobranche. Der nachträgliche Ärger wäre vermeidbar gewesen.

Very nice place with a post industrial atmosphere of an old boat building company. The dishes respect tradition and are revisited in a modern key. Definitely suggested to try!

Regionale Kreativküche vom Feinsten👌 Die Werftbuben und ihr Team haben uns unvergessliche kulinarischen Glücksmomente beschert. Nicht nur auf dem Teller ist alles authentisch und liebevoll, bodenständig und kreativ, sondern auch das Team begegnet uns authentisch, voller Herzlichkeit, unaufdringlich und verbindlich zugleich. Das tolle Werft-Ambiente mit Blick auf den See, vielen alten Maschinen und Dekorationen und die leckersten Bodenseeweine machen das Wohlfühlklima komplett. Danke an das ganze Team!

Wir haben uns im September in dieser traumhaften Location das Jawort gegeben. Die Lage und das Ambiente sind einmalig hier am Bodensee. Die Hochzeitsplanung war super angenehm. Die Kommunikation mit Julius war sehr einfach, professionell aber trotzdem auch locker und sehr freundlich. Man stand uns bei Fragen immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Auch besondere Wünsche wurden möglich gemacht um uns unseren perfekten Tag zu ermöglichen. Das Essen, die Getränke und die Cocktails waren ausgezeichnet und alles top organisiert. Allgemein war der Tag toll durchstrukturiert und das Personal war eingespielt, super professionell, freundlich und herzlich. Sie haben es uns sehr einfach gemacht den Tag in vollen Zügen zu genießen. Wir wurden mit einem Fischerboot abgeholt und zur Location gebracht, das war sehr cool. Hier nahm man sich ausgiebig Zeit für Bilder auf dem Wasser. Wir wurden von unseren Gästen und einer ganz tollen und lieben Mitarbeiterin der Werft, Hannah, in Empfang genommen. Nach der Trauung wurde alles für den Sektempfang umgebaut. Dies war so routiniert und gut getimt, dass wir nichts davon mitbekommen haben. Die Ausstattung und Möglichkeiten die einem die Werft und das Team bietet sind top, angefangen von der Qualität des Essens bis hin zum Equipment sowohl bei der Bühne als auch im Restaurant selbst. Auch unsere Gäste waren sehr begeistert von der Location, dem Flair, dem Essen und allem was dazu gehörte. Vielen lieben Dank an das super Team der Werft 1919. Es hat so Spaß gemacht bei euch diesen besonderen Tag zu feiern und wir hätten uns keine bessere Location vorstellen können.

Der Anspruch passt leider nicht zur Realität. Positiv: Die kleinen Scheiben von eingelegten Walnussfrüchten im Vorspeisensalat, allerdings nur in homöopathischer Dosis vorhanden Angenehm buttriger Geschmack der hausgemachten Spätzle Negativ: Rotwein für 9,60 / 0,2l erinnerte uns an 5 l Garaffenwein in Brasilien Hauptspeise erst auf Nachfrage nach ca. 1h Wartezeit serviert Grillteller kam dann zwar schnell, war aber schon leicht angekühlt, Rindfleisch medium well, restl. Fleisch auch nichts besonders für den Preis Schweinebäckchen ohne Mut zur Würze, eine Idee Piment könnte z.B. hilfreich sein, ein zusätzl. Kännchen Sosse wäre auch ganz nett gewesen Gemüse bei beiden Gerichten nur kurz angegrillt und nicht bissfest sondern roh Beim Nachtisch enthielt ein Eis der Triologie kleine Butterflöckchen, was vielleicht dem warmen Wetter geschuldet war.

Wir haben unsere Hochzeit am 09.09.23 in der Werft gefeiert. Die Vorbereitungstreffen und Vorgespräche waren professionell gut strukturiert. Der Tag selber war perfekt strukturiert und mit exzellenten Servicen. Jeder Wunsch wurde umgehend umngesetzt und der Eventmanager war die ganze Zeit in der Nähe und ansprechbar. Essen war fantastisch.

Wir haben in der Werft unsere Hochzeit gefeiert und es war einfach nur toll! Geniale Location, super regionales Essen und viel Engagement! Wir haben das Family Dinner gewählt und hatten 125 Personen am Abend - der Raum war dann schon sehr voll. Aber wir haben nach dem Essen Tische abgebaut, um die Tanzfläche zu vergrößen und dann war alles perfekt. Wir werden den Tag für immer in besonderer Erinnerung behalten! Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert!

Es ist nicht jedermann‘s Sache so völlig selbstverständlich geduzt zu werden. Ich finde das ok. Das Essen war super lecker, und das Bio-Bier auch. Ein wunderschöner Tag ging so standesgemäß zu Ende. Vielen Dank!

Dieses Lokal hat alle Erwartungen erfüllt und sogar übertroffen.

Die Location ist traumhaft, mal was ganz anderes. Angenehmes, warmes indirektes Licht. Die besonderen Cocktails wie auch das Essen sind mit viel Details angerichtet und einfach was besonderes. Auch das Angebot von veganen Gerichten ist hier noch was außergewöhnliches. Preis Leistung finde ich trotz dessen nicht passend. Ein veganes Gericht bestehend aus Gemüse & Tofu (Tofu nicht erkennbar) für knapp 40€, ist dann schon ordentlich. Bei Fleisch, Fisch Gerichten kann ich das noch eher nachvollziehen, da alle Zutaten lokal bezogen werden.

War bei "Eure Mütter", super Abend in sehr schöner Location...

Sehr gutes Essen, tolle Location und sehr freundliches Personal.

Nachmittagskarte (Essen) viel zu teuer. Bei der geräucherten ForellenSeele schmeckte man nur Zwiebeln. Bedienung war nicht in der Lage ein weiteres Seele Brötchen ohne Belag, auch nicht gegen Bezahlung, heraus zu geben. Statt dessen wird eine 40g Chipstüte für 3 € verkauft. Die Lokalität ist einzigartig und das Weizenbier sehr lecker.
