Very tasty and really big portions

World-class food. Service is okay. The waiters need to improve their hospitality skills. Unfortunately, when the restaurant isn't at full capacity, they're completely listless and irritable.

The fish and wine were excellent, but the waitress complained about the Visa payment method, despite the tip, because fees were charged even though it was accepted in the billing system. There was also a note that this was requested on the menu, but the card was collected after the order. It's a shame; it leaves a bitter aftertaste.

This place is worth a visit. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

A nice restaurant with a somewhat unusual decoration. The food here was more than enough and tasted very good. The service was super friendly. The price was very fair. Here too the amount on your plate was very generous. Definitely an opportunity to go back.

The food was world-class! The service was top-notch! There were also some special dishes (from appetizers to dessert) with unique combinations of ingredients, not just the dishes you'd find at many other restaurants! The two of us were there yesterday and can highly recommend this restaurant and the two waitresses! We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!

The food was good so far, but beware of the biggest scam you can experience in a restaurant. After the food was ready and we wanted to pay, the only way to pay was with an EC card. We then said that one of us would withdraw cash and come back. The impatient waitress then said that it was possible to pay with VISA if we paid a €5 fee. We thought that was quite a lot and said we would think about it for a moment. She came back a minute later and wanted to cash us straight away with the €5 fee. Given the situation and the looks on everyone else's faces, we had no other choice. The nearest ATM would have been a 15-minute walk away. We then did some research and discovered that according to EU law it is actually illegal to pass on fees for card payments to the customer. The Visa rate is under 2%. However, the nice lady added about 10% of what we would have paid. Since we had no other choice but to pay, we wanted a transparent breakdown of the €5 but didn't get one. The excuse was that we should call the owner, who charges a flat fee of €5. So they're charging an extra tip for card payments. It's a disgrace! We've never experienced anything like this before. In the 21st century, you'd expect to be able to pay with a regular card in a tourist town on Lake Constance. The food was good, but this really ruins the evening.

Unfortunately, we were turned away extremely rudely right at the door. The waitress (a lady with red hair) didn't seem to be in a good mood or interested in welcoming new guests. We were only here for a weekend, and this interaction unfortunately didn't get the evening off to a good start. We then went to a delicious pizzeria in town, where we received a friendly welcome. UNFORTUNATELY, WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place with such unfriendly service!

The fish platter is highly recommended. It was a bit underseasoned for my taste, but it's better to season it more than to overseason it. The fish was perfectly cooked, still slightly translucent.

Too bad, another service no-go today. Just like last year. It's well known that the food here is good. But the service is a complete disqualification; other businesses in Kressbronn do it far better. I'd love to help here as a consultant with 30,000 service addresses and a Chamber of Industry and Commerce trainer in the commercial field, but for that to happen, the attitude of the staff/management has to change. They have to be willing to recognize mistakes, which a salesperson must learn in depth in their first year of training. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening. Very unfortunate.

The food was very tasty. It costs a bit more, but it's worth every euro.

Always very tasty, especially the fish dishes. The fish soup is awesome! The service is always very nice and courteous. It's best to make a reservation because it's very popular and there aren't that many tables in the restaurant. It's easier in summer when the terrace is open, but there's no guarantee that you'll get a spot without a reservation.

The food is very good. They say dogs are only allowed on the outside terrace, no problem for me. I can accept it. Not everyone has to like dogs. However, some of them were invited into the restaurant directly in front of us with a large dog (they were warmly greeted). It's a shame... not everyone is the same

We were there for dinner yesterday and tonight. Before the first visit I wanted to reserve a table when I mentioned that we had two small dogs with us and I was informed that dogs are not allowed inside but only on the terrace, but no tables can be reserved there. We went there and got a place with our dogs. The next day we were there again for dinner and guests in front of us went into the restaurant with their dog and were assigned a table. I ask myself why people are being lied to when they say there are no dogs in the interior. There is a bland aftertaste, even though the food tastes good.

We were a total of 6 people and 1 baby and wanted to eat here. When we asked for a table we were greeted rather unfriendly by a lady. Nothing is free inside. We were offered something in the outdoor area with the statement: “then you just have to sit separately”. The tables could have been moved together without any problems. The restaurant was only moderately busy at that time. We then just went to the restaurant across the street. There was no problem getting a table for 6 people.

The food is always a delight, whether meat, fish or vegetarian. The starters and dessert are also simply delicious.

Das Essen war Mega leger , die Dame die unsere Bestellung aufnahm war auch sehr nett ,bis ich gesagt habe das ich zwei kleine Kritik Punkte habe DiePfeffermühle ist nicht so gut , war so ein billigheimer Teil,kommt nur fein gemalter Pfeffer ,darauf Sie die kann man unten einstellen also jeder hängt sein Finger darein . Nein möchte ich nicht. Ich sagte die Teller könnte man anwärmen, darauf Sie ,die sind angewärmt aber waren sie nicht sie waren eisenkalt. Schade das man auf eine kleine Kritik nicht angemessen reagiert. Sondern versucht alles weg zureden. Sehr Schade. Essen war trotzdem sehr lecker und empfehlenswert bis auf die Dame im Vordergrund.

Supergutes Essen, besonders der Fischteller und der Zwiebelrostbraten. Auch die Bedienung ist sehr nett. Können wir uneingeschränkt empfehlen!!!

Lage nahe des Sees am Rande eines Wohngebiets. Sehr ansprechende Speisekarte, Essen in sehr guter Qualität. Freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Reservierung zumindest in der Saison empfohlen.

Super delicious food and great service

It is a small restaurant not far from the Lake Constance cycle path. The service ladies serve very quickly and attentively. The restaurant is nicely furnished and not overloaded with decorations, you feel comfortable there. The whole atmosphere is relaxed. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, portions were quite large. I ordered the "Boje Teller" with 4 types of fish, it was delicious. It is highly recommended, you have to reserve.

Die Boje wurde in den Rezensionen hoch gelobt, daher haben wir es ausprobiert. Ich bestellte ein Rumpsteak mit Kässpätzle medium. Das Fleisch war perfekt und die Käsespätzle hervorragend. Ich kann die Boje nur empfehlen

Service inside loudly made fun of the guests outside. Food was ok. Meat well seasoned and well fried (chicken strips on the salad plate). Salad dressing didn't work at all. When I asked, I was told that the homemade salad dressings were without vinegar and couldn't be too sour. Okay..... beets, carrots, cucumbers, potato salad so all canned goods. Almost impossible to eat inside, without air conditioning when it feels like 40 degrees. Service said it wasn't worth it for 8 to 10 summer days a year 🤔

The service was so unfriendly and rude, I would have liked to give zero stars. She made rude, inappropriate and condescending comments about the amount of food we ordered for the children. In general, I can advise against eating there with children. You feel so uncomfortable and not welcome at all. It's really rare to experience such cheeky service. The food was ok. Ambiance is very outdated, terrace uncomfortable.

We ate the tastiest food in the buoy during our Lake Constance vacation. And by far. All dishes were delicious, fresh and prepared with love. The portion size was just right - and ultimately so was the price-performance ratio. For food of this quality you are happy to pay a euro or two more. An absolute recommendation. But be careful: you should definitely prepare. There are only minimal deductions for the parking lot atmosphere in the outdoor area and one of the two service staff who was rather grumpy (but the second one was absolutely great).

The food was apparently fried too hot, some of the breading was burnt and the inside of the schnitzel was still tough and not cooked through. The fish had too much oil and was partly too salty due to the capers. The Schupfnudeln also burnt. Why we had to make a reservation and were rejected the day before, despite many free places, seems a mystery. Maybe the chef can't keep up.? Unfortunately the price does not correspond to the performance, deserves a maximum of 3 stars.

Man isst hier wirklich super, aber die Dame welche einem empfängt macht alles kaputt. Wir wurden noch nie in einem Restaurant so von oben herab behandelt. Eigentlich wollten wir noch einmal in der Boje essen gehen, aber das möchten wir uns nicht mehr antun. Schade eigentlich.

We were there today as a family of four and were politely assigned a table straight away, even without a reservation. The drinks served were wonderfully cool and the food was served at the same time, excellently prepared (and very plentiful) on pre-heated plates. We would like to come again!

Very good restaurant. the menu is varied, the products are of good quality and very well cooked. The setting and decoration are very pretty and the service top! Be careful, they do not take foreign bank cards! I recommend!!

I can recommend the restaurant 100%. The Swabian plate and the lumberjack cordon bleu tasted excellent. The price-performance ratio is also right here.

Fabulous! Well-kept small restaurant in the immediate vicinity of the lake with its own parking spaces. It is located on a street that is in a 30 km/h zone and is very lovingly furnished for that reason. Service is unbeatably friendly, humorous and attentive and the waiting times are very short. The food is of fantastic quality and you can tell that the food is cooked here by a team that knows how to do it. The prices are surprisingly humane and absolutely justified. And yes, the portions are generous, but you can have leftovers packed away. Anyone traveling in Kressbronn and the surrounding area should definitely stop by here. It doesn't hurt to call and reserve in advance!

The portions are quite large, a size smaller would easily be enough. Since the food was so delicious, it is of course difficult to leave anything left 😁. Although the restaurant was very full, we were served very quickly and friendly. We'd love to come back.

The food was excellent, from starters to dessert

The restaurant was supposed to open at 5 p.m. At 4:30 p.m. there were more than 15 people at the door. You weren't allowed to reserve a table over the phone because there weren't enough staff and they couldn't predict how many guests they could serve. Two dishes (cordon bleu + schnitzel) were too salty. In general, the stay was not as relaxed as expected.

*delicious fish* we were lucky enough to be able to dine here twice. Because we were looking for a fish restaurant where we could get whitefish. In fact, we weren't disappointed and we were served delicious fish plates. The Kretzer is an absolute recommendation. The service was always friendly and even took care of us and our dwarf. Was soll ich sagen. Ein wunderschönes kleines Restaurant, sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Das Essen ein Traum. Ich hatte Fisch und mein Mann ein Holzfäller Cordon Bleu. Wir waren beide satt geworden. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Das einzige was blöd ist wenn man nicht vom Bidensee bzw Kressbronn kommt weiß man nicht das man da reservieren sollte vorher da man sonst keinen Platz bekommt.

Die Gerichte sind kreativ gestaltet und schmeckten alle sehr gut. Es gab eine große Auswahl, bei der für jeden etwas dabei ist. Die Wartezeit war auch sehr gering. Bei den Fischgerichten kann man auch das Gemüse und Beilagen selbst wählen. Auf dem Bild ist ein Zanderfilet für 18€ abgebildet.

Wir kamen mittags 1h vor Schließung. Wir fühlten uns etwas abgefertigt. Service war schon in der Pause😉 Essen war lecker. Ambiente für einen Mittagstisch ok.

Das Essen war wirklich lecker, und die Portionen riesig. Allerdings vermiesen einem die mürrisch dreinblickenden und schlecht gelaunten Servicedamen das gute Gefühl das man anfangs hatte. Eine der Damen hat sich doch glatt darüber beschwert, weil wir 2 leere Teller zusammengestellt haben, sie wären dann zu schwer 🙄 Gut essen kann ich auch anderswo, und die Damen sollten mal überlegen, wie sie mit Kunden umgehen.

Essen und Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut, jedoch wird diese Empfehlung durch das unfreundliche und freche Personal zunichte gemacht. Man fühlt sich nicht willkommen,, Personal eher gestresst. Kredtkarten werden wg. lapaler Kosten nicht akzeptiert, dies wird sehr in einem barschen Ton dem Gast an den Kopf geworfen.

Tolles Essen mit großen Portionen. Die Karte bietet viel Auswahl traditioneller und auch moderner Gerichte bei sehr guter Qualität zu günstigen Preisen. Wir waren eine Woche im Urlaub und gleich zwei Mal dort. Sehr freundlicher Service. Ambiente, welches zum Namen passt. Absolut empfehlenswert.
