We celebrated our wedding at the Weinbaar on May 10th – and it was simply perfect! Even before the event, Mr. Grom and the entire team were on hand to offer advice and support. They were always available, open to all our wishes, and implemented them with great commitment and attention to detail. On the wedding day itself, the weather was even more pleasing, allowing us to hold the champagne reception outside – a wonderful start to the evening. The selection of champagne and sparkling wine was excellent and greatly appreciated by all guests. A special highlight of the evening was Andre Krull – bartender, waiter, and absolute professional. He took care of everything with incredible warmth and attention and played a key role in ensuring that we and our guests felt completely at home. The food was another highlight: a delight of the highest quality, both in terms of taste and appearance. This special day was rounded off by our stay in the adjoining hotel. Here, too, everything was to our complete satisfaction: inviting rooms, friendly service, and an atmosphere that simply puts you at ease. We can wholeheartedly recommend the Weinbaar – both as an event location and as a hotel. Thank you for this thoroughly successful day, which we will remember for a long time!

Basically a solid restaurant at the train station in Donaueschingen, but due to price increases and a somewhat declining quality, it's no longer as good as before.

Dear Schützen team, not like this! The food and ambiance were excellent; the culinary art deserves the highest praise. However, the following point is absolutely unacceptable: On Saturday afternoon, we ordered my main course and a starter for my wife, which she found very appealing. However, the order was rejected on the grounds that the starter would only be served in combination with a main course. This practice is unusual and incomprehensible to us. The subsequent approval by the service manager was met with a roll of the eyes. We hope this is an isolated incident and not common practice.

I've picked up tapas here regularly and have always been very happy with the quality of the food. I particularly appreciated that it was never a problem to bring my own Tupperware containers to transport the food home in an environmentally friendly way. Unfortunately, I had an extremely disappointing experience on my last visit. I was suddenly informed that due to legal concerns it was no longer possible to take the food in my own containers as they did not want to be responsible for refrigeration on the way home. That seems like a pretty weak excuse to me. Wouldn't it be more honest to say that the store is just busy and you don't have time for it? I absolutely don't understand why this should suddenly be a problem when it never was before. Thanks, but that was the last visit for me. Never again.

We come here very often during our lunch break and it always tastes very good. I can only recommend the shop and the boss is very friendly

We went there for dinner, but unfortunately, we made the wrong decision. The waiters were overwhelmed, and the food was, quite frankly, terrible, all deep-fried and tasteless. Two of our group even vomited later in the evening. In my opinion, an absolute no-go.

We spent one night here while passing through and were really happy. The location is great! We had let them know in advance that we would be arriving around nighttime, and everything was prepared – the key with a code was in the safe by the door. It was totally hassle-free; we walked right in and into the room. The room was larger and airier than in the photos. The furniture may be a bit older, but everything was clean, comfortable, and practically furnished. We really liked the balcony! We especially liked the design of the hallway and the cute dog pictures on the walls. We would definitely recommend it!

Of course I could have made this dish at home, but I don't regret coming here. Pollock isn't a great fish, but it was still well done. Nicely cross, the breading held up completely and the remoulade added the necessary flavor. The fries were good, almost too cross but that's also a matter of feeling. Salad from the buffet was fine, everything was nice cleanly prepared. If the waitress had come to the table again or looked over, we would still have a cappuccino or something else. That's why there are only 4 points. But we were satisfied and would like to come back to the well-kept restaurant. Price/performance ratio is completely okay with this dish. Thank you 🤝

Best wood fired pizza, the dough is the secret. Pasta was very tasty and the boss made it feel like you were in Italy.

Wir waren hier schon essen als wir noch tierische Produkte aßen. Auch damals war es toll und so wagten wir den Versuch bei einer Familienfeier mit einem einfach nach einem rein pflanzlichen Gericht. Für uns wäre als Alternative natürlich auch Pommes und Salat o.ä. in Ordnung gewesen. Der wirklich sehr höfliche und bemühte Service nahm unseren Wunsch mit in die Küche. Nach kurzer Zeit kam sie jedoch erneut an den Tisch und teilte uns mit, dass der Chef/Koch gerne Bratkartoffeln o.ä. für uns zubereitet, er aber auch einen Teller mit Linsen, Süßkartoffeln und Spargel zubereiten könnte. Es war himmlisch gut! Natürlich hat auch alles drum herum toll gepasst, die Getränkeauswahl ist reichlich. Wünschen würden wir uns tatsächlich, dass es eine pflanzliche Alternative auf der Karte gäbe aber wer auf Nachfrage so reagiert, der versteht sein Handwerk einfach und hat meine Hochachtung.
