Donaueschingen in Donaueschingen

Well, Danube Eschingen is a bit far away, because it's a bit of a floodplain, but we knew that beforehand. It's possible by bike. Everyone was very nice and helpful—we'd love to come back.

€147 for two people in a clean but dated room with a breakfast that borders on a disgrace is too much!! Breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. We were at the buffet at 8:30 a.m. and it was almost empty...and never refilled. The milk in the refrigerated counter was sour. There were two different rolls from the discount store and a sliced-your-own bread. The scrambled eggs were cold...Never again!!!

The best wood-fired pizza, the dough is the secret. Pasta is delicious, and the chef makes you feel like you're in Italy.

My family of four and I had a super delicious meal. Highly recommended. And we'll definitely go back 👍🏻

We often come here after a bike ride, rollerblading, hiking, or just spontaneously. The food is more than adequate for a beer garden. The portions are normal but sufficient. We always have chicken with a side of fries or a salad. The quality is decent for a beer garden. The staff is friendly and accommodating. One point deducted for the sometimes carelessly presented food and the restrooms. There's still room for improvement. I would only give the coffee two stars; it comes from an outdated fully automatic machine. There's always music playing, which could be louder. The price is a bit high. A nice place to linger; we enjoy being here.
