Update: after 2 years still the best Schäufele. The cordon bleu is also excellent. Visiting Franconia again. Food still excellent. Such as venison shovels and carp fillet. If I could give it six stars I would. Great Franconian cuisine with friendly service. What more could you want? The Schäufele are awesome, all the other dishes are great too. There's really nothing to complain about. The bloodroot tasted good too!

After the reopening, everything is perfect for us. Interesting sequence of dishes, each one a highlight in its own right, right up to the dessert. The sauces deserve special mention, for us the famous icing on the cake. Wine recommendations are also excellent. You sit very well and you have the feeling of being at home, cozy and extremely relaxing. The careful and never intrusive operation contributes to this. Depending on the table, you also have a view of the kitchen, where the chefs are concentrating and calmly doing their work. The prices for the menu correspond to the overall impression. Absolutely a recommendation and an enrichment of the gastronomic offer.

We have been regular customers from Bochum for many years now. Since we got to know the old inn, we've actually only eaten schnitzel here Overall, great food, good service, and we always feel welcome. Keep it up!

The food was very tasty and the boss was in a really good mood

Very nice atmosphere, attentive and service-oriented service. But unfortunately the food was completely over salted. The anticipation was great, but the result was mixed. Just as mixed as the slightly tough beef fillet, which also didn't skimp on salt. The greetings from the kitchen as well as the bread and homemade spread were - as amazing as it sounds - the best part of the menu in terms of taste. The dessert turned out to be a well-intentioned attempt at Austrian cuisine. All in all, a disappointing price-performance ratio.

The food is super tasty (I had the vegan udon noodles in coconut sauce with tofu), the price is super fair and I'm very excited about the containers! No deposit and a great alternative to plastic and keeps food warm for much longer.
