A cute, nice indoor restaurant. The chef knows what he's doing. The food is delicious. The service excellent. Recommended. Gladly again and again. And today it was great again. Veal schnitzel and Iberico cutlet.....simply delicious.

Decent portions with decent prices

We wanted to go out for something to eat on Saturday and only read at the door that the kitchen would not be occupied until 5 p.m. A tip on the internet would have been helpful.

My partner and I often go to the Volksgarten restaurant, usually to end the evening or weekend comfortably with a drink, but also to eat. We had already organized a celebration there. The review is actually long overdue! 😁 Why? Here everything is made from scratch and everything is cooked with heart and soul, which you not only see when the food is prepared, but also always tastes delicious! The portions are always ideal in our opinion, not too much and not too little. Individual wishes can also be fulfilled here after consultation. ✨ Stefan, the owner and chef, always does his job excellently. But just like the soul of the house: Betti! 🥰 She serves the guests with wit and natural charm, is attentive and always friendly, even when she is under a lot of stress. I would also definitely like to highlight the constantly changing dishes on the menu, which we find interesting and exciting. Because the food is seasonal and regional and there is variety, which makes eating out a surprise every time. We only shop here as needed, as Stefan is very careful not to waste any food - which is another plus point for us at the Volksgarten restaurant. There is actually always something for vegetarians. The atmosphere is nice and rustic and the music is always good. 😃👍🏻 With so much sense, intellect, sustainability and passion, I can definitely give 5 stars in every area with full conviction. Call, reservation is worth it!

As a tourist, you stumble across the café by chance, otherwise there is unfortunately little to nothing going on in the city, even on a Saturday morning. The cake makes up for it. When the weather is nice, it's worth taking a panoramic view of the castle tower and taking a tour of the cave

Excellent restaurant with local food. Very nice service, even though the restaurant was very busy. All of the group's special requests were also fulfilled, which made everyone very happy in the end. Very busy on Sundays and reservations recommended.

Very tasty food! The menu is fairly limited in supply but well priced. A surprise for us and better than we expected.
