Wow, great food, very good service, and a great atmosphere—what more could you ask for? We'll definitely be back...

Unfortunately, the food had little to nothing in common with what was described on the menu. It was unfortunate that we received our four dishes at different times, and even more unfortunate that our food was brought to the wrong table beforehand. Also interesting: everything was booked by 5:00 PM. We still managed to find a table outside. But at 5:30 PM, strangely enough, more than half were still empty. Nothing really seemed right that day. Fortunately, in a spa town, you get a lot of walk-in customers.

Beautiful ambience, great views of the greenery, lovely terrace, and delicious dishes.

Unfortunately, we didn't carefully examine the prices on the menu beforehand. It's truly outrageous to charge €19.50 for pastries. Salads are also exorbitantly expensive. You can overdo it. The food was good, but not exceptional. We won't be coming here again and won't recommend it to anyone.

Located in the heart of nature with a beautiful view from the beer garden. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is authentic, beautifully presented, and very tasty. The Kaiserschmarren is highly recommended as a main course, as it's an exceptionally large portion. We shared it with our tablemates for dessert; otherwise, we would have burst. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely eat there again.

Highly recommended; in this restaurant, you're more than just a customer. You feel like a welcome guest. The service is prompt and friendly. The ambiance is very cozy and modern, and the restaurant is located in the middle of the forest, making it beautifully peaceful. The food is excellent and plentiful. We were given a tour by the owners and can highly recommend the restaurant to anyone with something to celebrate. You can comfortably hold a wedding there with 20-60 people. The location, setting, and outdoor area are truly cozy. The service is also friendly, attentive, and accommodating to individual requests. The prices, however, are beyond exorbitant. A mini salad costs €17-20, vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries costs €10, etc. I don't know if the rent is so high or if other fixed costs make this necessary, but it's certainly not commensurate with the quality and quantity.

Unfortunately the portions are really small, so if you come hungry and eat more you'll leave hungry too.

Everything's perfect for her: down-to-earth food beautifully presented, especially good quality and very tasty! The ambiance invites you to linger in a peaceful atmosphere. The seating is beautiful...in the middle of the forest...with the peacocks calling next door...The menu is well-organized...a bit more choice would have been nice...and I would have preferred some bread with the €18 salad...Service was very friendly and attentive. We'd be happy to come back.

We stopped in spontaneously as a couple with our dog and were served promptly and very friendly. The food (steak, zander fillet) was very good, and the preparation and quality were also of a high standard. The prices are a bit high, but in my opinion, quite reasonable for what you get. I highly recommend it.

We live in Bad Orb, and Philosophenhöhe is our favorite restaurant there. We always enjoy dining there with friends or family. The service is friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. The varied menu with delicious seasonal specialties offers something for every taste.

Located on a small hill near Bad Orb. Within walking distance of the outdoor pool. Great atmosphere. The food was excellent. Everything was definitely homemade. Service was a bit disjointed. The advertised starter came with the main course. I asked for fried potatoes instead of fries and ended up getting both. The staff was very friendly.

Very tasty food in a lovely, cozy atmosphere. The meat was delicious, and the vegetables were fresh and very flavorful. We would love to come back.

So far, the team is very friendly, some of the dishes are exceptional, from Austrian and German cuisine to burgers, etc. The chef also regularly checks in on the guests... Otherwise, the ambiance is very romantic with lots of little lights.

Service: The service was outstanding. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The waiters' recommendations were precise and demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the food and wine. Eat: The menu offers a creative fusion of regional and international dishes. I chose the liver dumpling soup as a starter, which was seasoned perfectly. For the main course I chose the onion roast, which was tender and aromatic. The highlight of the evening was the homemade Kaiserschmarren – a real treat! Drinks: The wine list is carefully compiled and offers a good selection of regional and international wines. The recommended wine for the onion roast went perfectly and rounded off the dish harmoniously. Value for money: Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and the service. You have to find the place first. But then really great! Easily accessible by motorbike and good parking space. Delicious homemade lemonade and a really great burger. However, I have to come back because some of the other dishes on the menu appealed to me. The dessert at the next table also looked really great, but then I wouldn't have been able to get on the motorbike. And the location and the space is really great. You can sit outside, eat in the countryside and really have a great time out!

Ordered roast pork with bread dumpling and grilled plate and it was excellent in terms of quality and craftsmanship, friendly service and the ambience spoke for itself, outside and inside!! Beer garden in a prime location and the “inside atmosphere” is absolutely convincing. Choice of food is very varied, something for everyone. Price/performance for most dishes is absolutely reasonable. In short: definitely recommended ‼️👍

We spontaneously had lunch on the terrace with 12 people. Everyone enjoyed it and enjoyed it (even the weather held up for the 2 and a half hours 😉)

It's not bad but you'd expect a little more for the price. One of the service staff walks past and asks if it tastes good. Without stopping. And before you could answer, she was already at the neighbor's table. The main course was delicious. But the Kaiserschmarrn wasn't good at all. It totally tasted like eggs. The consistency was also more like scrambled eggs. But the location is very nice and quiet.

Cozy place to stop off on the challenging hikes that can be completed in the area. I only had something to drink, but the food at neighboring tables looked good and no one returned anything, unfortunately. Clear recommendation

Great place, with great owners! Had a quiet place just for us and really enjoyed it! Food was bombastic, from starter to main course. I don't even want to start with the dessert plate 😍 everything is high quality! We came especially from the Odenwald and will definitely come back. Can recommend it with a clear conscience.

We were there for the first time on the weekend. We reserved a table in the outdoor area at short notice before our visit. The employees are very hospitable and super nice. My husband had the veal Wiener Schnitzel and I had the baked potato with vegetables. Big thanks to the chef for the delicious food. We were very impressed with the taste. This was our first visit but definitely not the last.

Great location in a forest, beautifully decorated restaurant with attentive and polite service. The homemade lemonade tasted very good. Our main courses (zucchini pancakes with spinach and feta cheese filling in tomato sauce with baked potatoes and salad as well as a trio of beetroot dumplings, spinach dumplings and cheese dumplings browned in butter with parmesan and small mixed leaf salad) were very, very tasty. Absolutely nothing to complain about!

A great restaurant in a nice atmosphere. Located somewhat on the mountain, you have a little peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle in winter, and the view is certainly even more beautiful in summer. The service is fast, friendly and always present without being intrusive. The food itself is very tasty and the portions are large. In terms of price, it's perfectly fine for a health resort considering the overall package. We'd love to come back :-)

Wir gehen wirklich immer wieder gern dort hin. Egal ob im Sommer im Biergarten mitten in der Natur, oder im Winter drinnen im tollen kuscheligem Ambiente. Die Speisekarte liest sich wie in einem tollen Sternerestaurant, jedoch die Preise sind Zeitüblich und die Portionen eher Wirtshausgröße. Also alles Top. Hervorzuheben die netten Wirtsleute: Koch und Wirtin.

Absolute Spitze, das Essen war perfekt zubereitet und sehr sehr lecker, kaum Wartezeit für die Qualität, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente ist sehr wohlfühlend und romantisch, Fall sie vor haben im Hotel an der Toskana zu übernachten und nach einem guten Restaurant suchen sind sie hier absolut richtig, die meisten Restaurants hier in der Umgebung haben falsche Öffnungszeiten Zeiten, online einen unangekündigten Betriebs Urlaub oder so schlechte Rezessionen dass das hier extrem raussticht. Nur zu empfehlen.
