Nachdem ich erst den Eingang gefunden hatte, wurde ich nach Strich und Faden verwöhnt. Der Service der beiden Damen war sehr zuvorkommend und wirkte stets ehrlich. Meinen explizit herzlichen Dank nochmals für die so angenehme Bewirtung. Ich hatte zwar 'nur' ein Schnitzel Wiener Art, aber das war so reichhaltig und auch noch so zart wie selten erlebt. Ich habe es mit Mühe und Not so in etwa geschafft. Erste Klasse! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Das Essen hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt, und es war dazu kreativ und ansprechend angerichtet. Der Service war super - rundum ein Genuss!

Wir haben ganz spontan noch einen Tisch nach unserem Thermenbesuch bekommen, sogar eine halbe Stunde vor regulärer Öffnungszeit, weil es viele Reservierungen gab. Der Service war außerordentlich freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben einiges über regionale Fleischqualität und die Tradition des Hauses erfahren. Die Vorspeise, Carpaccio und die Beilagensalate waren mein Favorit. Dieses Salatdressing, wunderbar. Die Hauptspeise (kleine Portion) für mich absolut ausreichend und die Bärlauchsosse sehr lecker. Insgesamt war die Fleischqualität sehr sehr gut, alles sehr zart und auf den Punkt. Die weiße Mousse hat das Abendessen abgerundet und der Cappuccino mit Hafermilch hat mich sehr erfreut, da ich Laktose nur in kleinen Mengen vertrage. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Ein toller Sonntagmittag zu viert, das erste Mal zu Besuch. Sehr nett schon bei der Reservierung, genauso der Service beim Besuch. Überschaubare, aber feine Karte und gute Getränkeauswahl. Ich hatte ein Ribeye Steak, medium rare - perfekt auf den Punkt, butterzart und mit toller Kräuterkruste. Selten so gutes Fleisch gegessen! Dazu Steakpommes und ein Salat. Die anderen Gäste hatten Schweinemedaillons in Bärlauchsoße und Kräutersüppchen und waren auch sehr zufrieden. Ein Gast wollte vegetarisch essen und das vegetarische Hauptgericht auf der Karte und ein Alternativangebot aus der Küche waren nicht so nach ihren Geschmack, sie hat dann aber mit Suppe sowie Pommes mit extra Bärlauchsoße dann auch etwas leckeres gefunden. Gemüse als Beilage war insgesamt eher weniger bei den Gerichten vertreten. Insgesamt rundum zu empfehlen, vor allem wenn man leckere Fleischgerichte möchte. Wenn absehbar mehr als ein Gast vegetarisch essen möchte, dann würde ich eher ein anderes Ziel wählen. Kreditkarte wird nicht genommen, EC Karte aber schon.

Unglaublich schönes Restaurant mit einer tollen Küche

Wir hatten einen rundum perfekten Abend! Die Suppe als Vorspeise war einfach überragend – besser geht es kaum! Super abgeschmeckt und geschmacklich absolute Spitzenklasse. Das Steak war sehr, sehr lecker und perfekt auf den Punkt gegart – wirklich ein Genuss. Das absolute Highlight war dann das Dessert – einfach fantastisch und der perfekte Abschluss eines großartigen Essens. Der Service war unglaublich lieb, aufmerksam und herzlich. Auch die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr schön und gemütlich gestaltet, sodass man sich direkt wohlfühlt. Klare Empfehlung!

Wir sind schon seit vielen Jahren sehr gerne zu Gast im Alten Bahnhof. Die Qualität ist herausragend, das Fleisch immer perfekt gegart und sogar ich als absoluter Fleischfan muß einfach sagen, dass ich hier den besten Beilagensalat ever bekomme! Der Schmaus geht hoffentlich immer weiter! LG, die Pfälzer!

Tolles Weihnachtsessen 2025. Was uns am meisten freut ist, dass glutenfreies Essen (für unsere erwachsene Tochter) dort noch niemals ein Problem war und man sich dort auch sehr gut damit auskennt ! 🥰

Wir waren mit der Familie, darunter 2 Kinder(8u.11), da. Wir wurden super freundlich empfangen und bedient. Auf die Kinder wurde sehr nett eingegangen. Essen war für unseren Geschmack in allen Belangen hervorragend und die Preise sind absolut angemessen. Reservierung erforderlich, da nur begrenzte Plätze vorhanden sind. Leider wohnen wir 50km entfernt, sonst würden wir öfter kommen. Ein Wiedersehen wird es aber in jedem Fall geben.

Immer wieder außerordentlich gut! Perfekte Fleischqualität und auf den Punkt gebrachtes Steak - und hier gibt es einige Erfahrungswerte. Auch vegetarische Gerichte sind geschmacklich ein Erlebnis.

Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants wurden wir von einer stimmungsvollen, weihnachtlichen Atmosphäre empfangen, die sofort für Wohlfühlambiente sorgte. Unser Essen – eine Auswahl an Burgern und Steaks – war in jeder Hinsicht herausragend. Die Gerichte waren nicht nur geschmacklich hervorragend, sondern auch optisch ansprechend und mit viel Liebe zum Detail angerichtet. Hier merkt man die hohe Qualität der Küche. Ebenso positiv hervorzuheben ist der Service: aufmerksam, freundlich und absolut professionell. Wir haben uns zu jeder Zeit bestens betreut gefühlt. Insgesamt war es ein wunderschöner Abend, den wir im Alten Bahnhof verbringen durften. Ein Restaurant, das wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen können – sowohl für besondere Anlässe als auch für einen entspannten Genussabend.

Today we were at Haselweiher and tried the Schlemmerbank. We were very impressed with the selection; everything is prepared with attention to detail and of high quality. The location is fantastic, with a view of the lake. We'd love to come back.

Last night, we went to this wonderful restaurant for dinner for the first time with four adults. The cyclist who was in front of us was seated ahead of us, even though we had made a reservation for later. What can I say? I haven't eaten such a good schnitzel in ages: fantastic, unusual breading, the best meat, and a fantastic chanterelle sauce. The salad was simply divine and not just run-of-the-mill, and also lovingly prepared. The conversations with the two cheerful ladies, who anticipated our every wish, were the icing on the cake. What a wonderful, successful evening! We'll be regulars from now on! P.S. This restaurant was recommended by the Bad Orb dog training school Teamwerkstatt, which I attend with my dog. I just read the reviews, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the owner's comments. You're absolutely right, Ms. K., the very things you complain about really get on our nerves, too. Dogs and children are now allowed to do whatever they want, as long as their parents don't have to deal with their bad behavior. When we spend money on a fantastic ambiance and excellent food, we don't want to be shouted at; we want to enjoy the evening in peace. I ate at the Alter Bahnhof three times during my time in Bad Orb. All visits were very pleasant, friendly, and the service was excellent. A beautiful and cozy restaurant located in the old train station in Bad Orb. It was our first time there and we were warmly welcomed by the hostess. We were lucky and were able to get a small table, but we recommend reserving well in advance. The ambience invites you to linger and exudes a homely atmosphere. The service was always attentive and courteous. If all of this doesn't encourage you to visit, then the food will at the latest: A small but fine menu that offers both meaty and vegetarian dishes. The taste was excellent and all degrees of doneness were perfect. I would particularly like to highlight the side salad that was served before the main course. In addition to the excellently dressed leaf salad, he also offered a lentil curry, a carrot salad with orange vinaigrette and a beetroot salad. We liked the beetroot. Great seasoning! When asked, it was said that the beets were refined with a Scandinavian spice mixture (including seaweed and cardamom). Finally, only one recommendation can be made here. The entire concept is well rounded and makes you want to visit again.

Wir wurden als Gruppe von 9 Personen, Alter zwischen 6 Jahren und 91 Jahren abgewiesen, weil wir nur etwas im Biergarten trinken wollte. Hatten Aufenthalt bei der Dampf-Kleinbahn von ca 1 Std. Die Chefin war uns gegenüber sehr unfreundlich und meinte... nur Trinken geht nicht. Der Biergarten war zu der Zeit bis auf eine Tischreservierung leer. Lokal für Ausflügler NICHT ZU EMPFEHLEN !!!!!!!!!!!

Whenever we are in Bad Orb, our first stop is the old train station. Everything just fits here. A true feel-good ambience is created on the terrace and in the restaurant with great attention to detail. Ms. Korpus and her service team are always attentive and courteous so that you really feel welcome. And... not entirely unimportant, the food is always a pleasure, both for the eyes and for the palate.

I've eaten here several times with my colleagues and it was worth it - as always! Everything is just right here, great food and extremely friendly and customer-oriented service. Every gourmet will find what they are looking for on the menu; the quality of the products and the preparation are at a high level. Had lunch today in the “Old Train Station” in Bad Orb. Very tasty and very friendly, nice service. Reservation recommended as we value quality and not quantity. Thumbs up 👍
