Cozy restaurant with a beautiful garden and delicious cakes

We wanted to eat something there and I was looking forward to the venison sausages on offer. The weather wasn't that good and there were a few drops of rain. The tables under the umbrellas were reserved and we were directed to an outdoor table. At a neighboring table, newly arrived guests opened a small parasol and were then told by the waitress that there was no sun at all. So very important, the umbrellas are only there for sun and not when it rains. But we didn't discover any real umbrellas. There was also a small folded parasol at our outdoor table. When we asked whether we could open it because of the raindrops, the waitress responded indignantly that she would then have to walk through the rain. Of course we didn't want the poor waitress to get wet because of us and then left the restaurant without having achieved anything. If you want to make money, you should probably react differently instead of complaining. We found this to be very condescending and disrespectful. Obviously you don't have to rely on guests. We can't judge the food because we couldn't eat anything there. Because keeping the operation dry is the most important thing. 😆

A cream schnitzel as you imagine it! Super tasty, great and fast service, beautiful garden. Have been there several times and all the food is always great! No matter what we have eaten there so far. Keep it up, we'll be back👍

We would have loved to eat there, but unfortunately the unfriendly service I've ever experienced didn't want to accommodate us. They were understaffed and chased us out of the yard despite free tables… friendliness is something else…

They don't accept card payments at all, which we weren't informed about beforehand; apparently, this policy is only mentioned on their website. None of the waitresses mentioned it to us before we ordered. It seems like guests are expected to check the website before visiting the restaurant. What if someone passing by decides to explore and ends up in the same situation as us? The service from the older lady was extremely rude, especially when it came to paying the bill—she bluntly told us to go to the bank, which is approximately a 30-minute walk away, and leave our ID. We were told the reason for not accepting card payments was due to a lack of internet service in the area. So, how are guests supposed to check the "CASH ONLY" info, which is only displayed on their website? The price per portion is disproportionately high! We ordered schnitzel with pepper sauce and potatoes with green sauce along with a coke and two glasses of wine. The food wasn’t extraordinary but it was edible. WOULDN’T RECOMMEND THE PLACE IF ONE ISN’T LOOKING TO PAY FOR RUDE SERVICE.

Inside you feel like you're in the 70s, nice beer garden and the food was good too. The service is a bit tomboyish, but turns out to be very nice.

Great service and the food was delicious

We visited the restaurant spontaneously on June 7th. The friendly staff welcomed us and we were warmly served. There were also children's high chairs on the terrace. The restaurant is located a little outside the town center but is still easy to reach on foot. The food is home-style - all prepared quickly and freshly. The toilets were also clean and appropriate for the age of the restaurant! We were allowed to change our son in an empty room because there is no changing table. We would be happy to visit the restaurant again!

Schnitzel and side dishes were incredibly tasty. Waiting time is really unusually short and everything is freshly prepared! Simple but very tasty 🤤

Already at the entrance it smells of old frying fat! No EC payment (where else can you get that????!!!) 30 minutes away to the bank! I had asparagus with salt potatoes (even the potatoes just boiled tasted like old fat! How does that work???) Price performance is out of all proportion! The service was friendly by a younger person and the older one was totally unfriendly.

Very nice, small and rustic restaurant. Nice outside area. Very, very nice and courteous staff. The food was super tasty and, above all, served hot. Always my pleasure. A must....make a reservation!!!!!

The inn is beautifully located and has a cozy beer garden. The food wasn't particularly good and the service was unfriendly. The generally chosen tone conveys to the guest that they are not wanted.

Rustic, tasty, warm and outside in the garden in summer. If the weather is bad, it is better to reserve indoors as space is limited.

Delicious food and drink for a birthday party. Rich menu with a good price-performance ratio, attractive wines, nice service... and above all: one of the last German kitchens in the spa town of Bad Orb. Very pretty table decoration!

Tolle Gaststätte mit leckeren Speisen. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Musste 2 mal anrufen und die Personenzahl erhöhen. Hat toll geklappt, vielen Dank dafür. Kuchen war lecker und die Getränke haben ebenfalls gut geschmeckt.

During my three rehabs/AHBs, I was always there when the hospital food got on my nerves. The service was always friendly (kudos to Anke), the food was always tasty and plentiful, and the prices were always reasonable. We also went there on my vacation and feasted. So to speak: Thank you, Anke! 😉

A bit dated but functional interior. Schnitzel alla Mayer, the meat was good, but the roasted potatoes were only from the deep fryer and actually nothing was really seasoned, and unfortunately everything was slapped onto the plate rather carelessly. So if the guest says that he is also a chef, I would make a little more effort for a colleague. Oh, and Mirco has to talk about 'gooey eggs'... However, the service staff tried hard and was quite nice.

War hier dreimal essen und wurde nicht enttäuscht eine Reservierung würde ich aber empfehlen. Selbst wenn viel los ist sind alle freundlich und nett, danke nochmal dafür das ich mich trotz kühlerem Wetter nach draussen setzen konnte

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal hier essen. Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht und würden dieses Lokal weiter empfehlen. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und nett. Das Lokal hat ein schönes Ambiente und ist sehr gemütlich. Mittags ist es sehr gut besucht. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen sind sehr übersichtlich. Auch am Preis kann man nicht meckern. Wie schon gesagt wir können es empfehlen. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall

Sehr leckeres Essen und immer ein freundlicher Service

Während viele Lokale schon um 14:00 schließen, haben wir hier kurz nach zwei Uhr noch ein Mittagessen bekommen. Sehr guter und zart zubereiteter Hirschbraten mit Klößen und einem besonders guten Rotkraut. Hat alles sehr lecker geschmeckt und wir hatten auch eine flotte Bedienung. Kann die Gaststätte mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Wie bei die Oma Zuhause. Lecker, mir gibt es nicht zu sagen.

Schöne Lage und fixer und aufmerksamer Service. Toiletten sind zwar sauber, aber man sieht das Alter. Essen war superlecker.

Das Restaurant liegt am Rande des Kurparks fast gegenüber vom Wohnmobilstellplatz. Ich war nur im Biergarten, hier sitzt es sich sehr schön. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und schnell. Die Suppe als Vorspeise war gut, mit frischem Gemüse, ich hätte sie mir nur noch etwas kräftiger gewünscht. Der Salat war okay, aber hat mich jetzt auch nicht wirklich abgeholt. Der Karottensalat war zum Beispiel nicht extra angemacht. Jetzt kommen wir aber zum Hauptgang. Ich hatte Schweinemedaillons. Die waren eher niedrig und durchgebtraten, aber trotzdem noch schön zart. Das Highlight war die Rahmsoße, da hätte ich mich reinlegen können 🥰 Trotz kleinerer Abzüge gibt es 5 Sterne. Zum einen wegen des tollen Service und zum anderen auch wegen der wirklich sehr fairen Preise!

Das Frankfurter Schnitzel war sehr lecker Die Bedienung war freundlich und das Essen kam trotz großen Betriebs sehr schnell.

Traditionelle Küche mit Biergarten. Große Auswahl an Speisen vom Wild wie Hirsch oder Wildschwein.

Echt Klasse, schöner Biergarten und süsse Gaststätte. Mittags hatte ich schon an Schweinebraten mit Klösse und Rotkohl gedacht und tatsächlich abends gab es dort Jungschweinebraten mit Klösse, Rotkohl und Salat. Echt sehr sehr lecker 😋 SEHR ZU EMPFEHLEN. Das Lokal, ab sofort meine erste Wahl.

Bedienung "unterirdisch" und unfreundlich- das Essen so lala und überteuert; Tische nicht sonderlich gepflegt; macht dem 70iger Jahre St?le alle Ehre...das Ambiente muss man mögen...auf derbe Sprüche kann man als Gast verzichten....wenn man selbst höflich und freundlich ist....ganz offensichtlich legt man keinen Wert auf Zuvorkommenheit, oder einen guten Eindruck. Positiv ist der kleine Biergarten mit Pavillon....die Steinfliesen nicht sauber und sehr viel Unkraut...Toiletten sehr alt.

Pommes lecker, Spargel lecker, Fleisch auch! Bier Würzbuger Hofbräu mega lecker. Gemütliches Ambiente, aufmerksame Bedienung.

Wenn 10 Sterne möglich wären, würde sie direkt vergeben! Problemlose kurzfristige Reservierung, absolut freundliches Personal und das Essen ein Gedicht!
