A perfect visit all around! Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly waitress, who impressed us throughout the evening with her warm personality, good humor, and attentiveness. She always had a smile on her face, was immediately available whenever we needed anything, and made us feel truly welcome. Such service isn't something you can take for granted these days and made our visit truly special.

Idyll at Engelberg! The owners, Lothar and Marie, are very friendly and make you feel like you're dining with friends. In addition to Swabian classics, the menu offers a changing selection of seasonal delicacies. The changing lunch menu also offers reasonable value for money. We were always extremely satisfied with the quality of the various dishes. You can choose to sit inside or in the beer garden under umbrellas. It's very cozy here, and you can enjoy the green trees surrounding the sports field. Since the area is behind the restaurant from the main road, it's also very quiet. Another highlight is the shelf with the huge selection of games, which makes this place absolutely child-friendly. The harmonious overall package means that the Engelberg restaurant has quickly become our regular haunt (a family with two children), and we eat there regularly.

There were two of us at a Zisch restaurant, where some of the owners were friends. They were so loud that we couldn't have a conversation. The schnitzel had a strange coating. We ate almost nothing and told the waitress that it was so loud. She then brought Zisch a shot and drank it herself, but the noise remained. You'll never see us there again.

We celebrated a baptism. The location is wonderful, near the Engelberg Tower. Soup and a mixed salad were served beforehand – both were excellently seasoned. The main course was presented buffet-style. The napkin dumplings with walnuts and the ox cheeks in Merlot sauce were the best – very intense in flavor and obviously homemade. The vegetables were crisp and went well with the dish. The chicken with mushrooms didn't hold its own in terms of flavor and seemed rather bland in comparison. Due to the large number of children, I had the impression that the waitress was a bit overwhelmed. However, she remained friendly throughout. I can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant.

An unforgettable day at Restaurant Engelberg! We celebrated our confirmation at the Engelberg restaurant in Leonberg – and it was simply perfect! Even in advance, coordination was smooth and extremely friendly. Our requests were met flexibly and professionally – a true example of great service. The value for money is excellent, especially considering the fantastic location and the quality of the food and service. The celebration began with a stylish champagne reception outside – a real highlight in good weather! The spacious terrace with atmospheric lighting and the adjacent sports field also make the venue ideal for celebrations with children. While the adults could raise a glass, the little ones had plenty of space to play. And then the food: simply fantastic! Everything was fresh, tasty, and perfectly presented. We would particularly like to highlight the ox cheeks in red wine sauce – an absolute delight, tender and full of flavor. Highly recommended! The entire team was consistently friendly, attentive, and present, without being intrusive. You could tell they put their heart and soul into their work. In conclusion: The Engelberg restaurant is a wonderful location for festive occasions, where everything is just right – from the planning and the ambiance to the final bite. Many thanks to the entire team for this unforgettable day!

No matter the time: the food is always excellent, the service is extremely friendly and helpful, and the play area is perfect for kids! The Mattner family puts a lot of heart and soul into this place, and you can feel it! Plenty of parking is available, and when the weather is nice, there's outdoor seating, as well as room for children to play. The seasonal menu always offers new dishes and variety, and so far, there hasn't been a single thing I haven't liked! We love coming here often!

We've been here a few times for dinner. Always fresh and delicious. Once, a larger group was there. The server's warning that it would take a while was great. We were happy to wait. It's great that you can enjoy the beer garden without the noise of cars. Service - as it should be. Highly recommended.

We celebrated a family celebration in the Engelberg restaurant and were completely thrilled. Both the prior arrangements and the service on the day itself were completely uncomplicated, reliable, friendly and courteous. It was our first time here and we really liked it. Very friendly welcome and also super nice service. Good menu, above all positive, almost every dish can also be ordered as a smaller portion. The homemade Maultaschen in forest mushroom sauce are very tasty. The schnitzel could have been a little crispier. Finally a restaurant that is open at lunchtime! The location is very nicely renovated. In summer you can sit outside well. Service great. Food delicious. Prices okay. The only negative thing: a really small mixed salad for 7.40 is really expensive and the exchange fee for changing side dishes can perhaps be justified somehow, but I find that very cumbersome... Definitely happy to come back!

We, the Diamant Leonberg company, had our Christmas party in Engelberg. There was a rich buffet to choose from. There was something for everyone. We could imagine coming back next year.

You can eat really well here and sit on the terrace in the summer, ideal with children!

We were pleased that the restaurant reopened under new management as we live nearby. Yesterday we were there for the first time. The positive first: The service was super friendly and provided great service > 5 stars. The pork cheek with fried potatoes was quite good. But everything else: the pork neck was still bloody inside. We got a new portion, but then we couldn't eat together because otherwise my food would have been cold. The portions were rather manageable. The tzatziki, well. You could eat it. The side salad for €6.40 probably came straight from the fridge and was correspondingly cold and the potato salad tasted terrible. Likewise the baguette served with it. We would have liked to make our honest statement directly on site. But the owners probably weren't interested or didn't even notice. Also a leadership error, if that was the case. Overall, for almost €80 with two wine spritzers, it's pretty excessive. It's a shame, we would have been happy to have a good restaurant near us again. So we go back to the Schillerhöhe. We have never been disappointed so far. To your answer: So many errors at once and for €80. The apology came from the very friendly service. Otherwise nothing happened. In the event of such a disaster, the boss has to appear at the table. Unless he doesn't care :-) Addition: NO, the boss was not at our table.

This family-run restaurant offers a varied lunch menu with local/regional products preferred, friendly service, fair prices and you immediately feel at home in this cozy yet modern ambience - in summer with a beer garden and play area for the little ones, ideal for family or Currently also Christmas parties (with advance reservation) or spontaneous coffee parties. Free parking spaces are also available directly in front of the house. What more could you want? I for one can't wait to stop by here again soon when I'm in the area...

Fantastic restaurant for the whole family – including furry friends! We recently visited the restaurant at Engelberg and were thrilled! This restaurant is truly a gem for families who value a relaxed and child-friendly atmosphere. We were warmly greeted as soon as we entered and the friendly staff immediately made it clear that both children and pets were welcome here. There is a lovingly furnished play area for the little guests, which our son immediately took over. While we were able to enjoy the delicious food in peace, our son was wonderfully occupied. The menu also offers a large selection of child-friendly dishes that are not only delicious but also healthy - a plus point for all parents who pay attention to a balanced diet. Our dog Karl-Heinz was not forgotten either! The staff immediately offered him a bowl of water. The outdoor area is ideal for four-legged friends - plenty of space and shade ensure that our furry friends also feel completely comfortable. The food was excellent: fresh ingredients, lovingly prepared and something for every taste. Particularly worth mentioning is the friendly and attentive service, which made us feel welcome at all times - regardless of whether we were humans or animals. Conclusion: If you are looking for a place where the whole family, including the dog, feels comfortable, Gaststätte am Engelberg is the right place! We'll definitely be back.

Best service in the Leonberg area, food is incredibly tasty, diverse and varied cuisine with changing lunch menu can only be recommended!!! I find it fascinating that the kitchen is open 7 days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The service is extremely courteous, friendly and fast. A sports hall is and remains a sports hall and is not an interior design highlight, but it is quite comfortable here. Only the acoustics are reverberant and loud. The side salad was lovingly prepared with various ingredients and had a very good dressing. Except for the fact that the spaetzle was obviously not homemade (hence one star less), the food was very well seasoned and tasty. The homemade (organic) dessert was also delicious. In any case, the price/performance ratio is good and a visit is highly recommended. You can tell that every employee enjoys working here. And before or alongside your meal you can take a few steps around the beautiful Engelberg.

Very cozy atmosphere with a view over Gerlingen! Good Swabian food, very cozy, nice people, friendly service and even a large, cozy terrace to relax. Children are welcome: they can play table tennis and there is also a football pitch. A trip there is always worth it!

Went there for the first time last week and never again. The schnitzels were still raw inside. When we complained about it, the plates were taken back with a twisted eye. We then got the same schnitzels again, which were simply thrown back into the deep fryer with the cut pieces, which were almost charred, back on the plate. Very disappointing. Regarding her answer: Didn't know that it was relevant that the schnitzel was on the house, which is actually a given after the campaign. But that only happened because I said it was NOT OK. Please don't distort the facts and just be sensible and improve.

We were there with a small group and met here for dinner based on a recommendation. The food is good and reasonably priced. The service is attentive and very friendly, the inside is comfortably furnished and everything still seems relatively new. However, the way the tenant treats guests is a reason for us not to go here anymore. There are much better places in the area!
