Very tasty home made Mexican food. Plus, the staff is super attentive. Everything is freshly prepared. I usually let you know via WhatsApp the day before what we want to eat, so the food is ready when we arrive. Highly recommended.

This small, unassuming restaurant is a true culinary discovery! The lovingly decorated interior creates a cozy atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. The menu is clear and offers a selection of authentic Mexican dishes. I chose the tacos and loved the fresh, homemade salsa and the tender meat. The portions may be smaller, but every bite is a taste experience. The combination of spicy flavors and fresh ingredients is simply perfect. The service is friendly and attentive. If you are looking for a special culinary experience, you should definitely try this restaurant!

Absolutely the best Mexican food I've ever had outside of Mexico! The dishes are authentic, full of flavor and prepared with attention to detail. Added to this is the incredibly friendly and attentive service - you immediately feel at home here. A must for all Mexican cuisine lovers. We'll definitely be back!

We were in this restaurant with my family the day before yesterday, we had made a reservation beforehand and everything went smoothly until then. When ordering you could have given more information about the portions because they are terribly small for the price. The waiting time was really crazy. We were the only ones in the restaurant and it took over an hour. Of course I appreciate waiting for good food Over an hour in an empty restaurant really doesn't make any sense to me. In terms of taste, the tacos were really good, but the wait and the price-performance ratio for the portions didn't match up for me.

Super good tacos, rather inconspicuous from the outside and the food doesn't come all at once but it was super tasty, fresh and beautifully prepared.

Relatively small restaurant with very good cuisine! Everything on the menu is recommended and is freshly prepared. The service is very attentive and friendly. The tacos are really very good, but relatively expensive. We ate between 3 and 5 “5 inch” tacos per person. Plus side dishes and drinks we came to just under €50 per head. There is a bit of a lack of choice when it comes to filling side dishes, basically there are only sweet potato fries here, the rest are snacks like nachos or guacamole.

We were extremely positively surprised at how delicious and, above all, authentic the food was. Really Mexican, not Tex-Mex, with original Mexican beers on offer. Because, contrary to expectations, the restaurant is not run by Mexicans or other North/South Americans, but by Asians. We had a very nice chat with the waitress and she explained to us that the chef learned Mexican cuisine a few years ago. We don't understand exactly how this happened or whether he lived there for a while. But the food is very tasty and amazingly authentic, and this review is from a Mexican woman who lived in Mexico until 3 months ago! The only thing you could complain about would be that you have to take some time with you, as the entire staff consists of a waitress and a chef, who always prepares every dish completely fresh. The small restaurant is lovingly decorated in Mexican style.

This is by far the best Mexican food that I have had in Europe the tacos were excellent and pilled high with meat. You need to call ahead if you want to eat in as they only have a few tables. The price is a big high for 4 tacos and 2 drinks we paid 40EUR which I think is a bit high for some tacos but this should not be a reason not to go I will be going back for sure.

BEST TACOS EVER❤️ I come from latin america and I must admit that in Germany it is very hard to find good and authentic tacos but luckily we discovered this taco restaurant and simply wow 👏🏻 there’s only 1 waitress (at least today) and i am guessing just 1 cooker so bring patience because it also gets very busy but i promise you the waiting is worth it 😮‍💨🤌🏻 also the michelada was on point. definitely going back

So, after reading the good reviews to this place I thought of checking it out. My daughter and I had a date night and we decided to find a place we have never been to and we stumbled upon this place. Being a Mexican restaurant and then being greeted by Echo - who’s Chinese - I was a tad bit apprehensive. But we persevered and from my daughter’s perspective the ambience and having the ability to control the lights - Echo the waitress gave her the remote - she was very happy with the place. Food wise we decided on a taco with mushroom and one with chicken. Echo was worried about my daughter not being able to eat the food due to the spice level, but we are seasoned having eaten my wife’s cooking at home which is on the spicy side. Tacos are a little small, so the table next to us ordered an xL taco which is more of a German size I would say. But taste wise - mind blowing. We’ve been to El Zapata and Jose Penas - taste wise you can’t go near this place. Downside - small family run restaurant, means longer wait times and no fancy cocktails. But if you’re looking for Mexican food and a quaint ambience - this is your place. We are already planning our next outing as a family.

We were there for dinner as reserved. There were also a few guests at another table. The entrance with the administration counter and the coffee machine is rude and uninviting. It's nice to sit outside under a chestnut tree. The different chairs are differently comfortable 😅 The service (and obviously the cook) was friendly, largely attentive and tried hard. There weren't 3 drinks/food on the menu that we wanted to order, and another dish that took a long time was not recommended (we didn't know that everything takes a long time). The food started after about 25 minutes and came one at a time at unrelated intervals. So first a 5 inch taco, 15 minutes later a 7 inch taco (so at least two of us had a starter) The food itself was freshly prepared and tasty (except the cactus leaves, which were very salty). Apart from that, we ordered something else to really fill us up because we didn't feel like waiting much longer. If the two of you have the restaurant to yourself, it will definitely work great. Not for groups larger than three. Conclusion: Food great, service friendly and completely alone. Price/performance: O.K. if it were served quicker. Ambience: Like a snack bar, a little nicer inside with wooden beams. I'm simply surprised at a 4.9 star rating on Google. Recommended for: Small groups who want to enjoy a snack with their drink.

Very good Mexican food - actually Mexican, not what is usually sold in Germany. Homemade tacos in many variations. The sweet potato fries were - probably for the first time at a restaurant - not limp, but each individual fry was crispy. Prices are a bit high, but if the quality is right you're happy to pay. Conclusion: authentic Mexican food. Definitely try it. We will come again.

We love Mexican food and it is often very rare to find a good one in Germany. So I was over the moon about this restaurant. We had nachos and two taco plates to share, meat and vegetarian. We also all had margaritas and various soft drinks. And the food was plentiful! Overall, it was one of the best dinners I've ever experienced. The flavors and attention to detail and passion with which everything was prepared was stunning! As the restaurant is essentially run by one person, it should be natural for a visitor to be patient and respect the effort that is put into everything. That's why I don't find some of the critical comments here on Google Maps understandable or reasonable, considering the amount of effort put in by the owner. It's definitely worth being patient! Also, there are some fantastic board games to pass the time - why not put in a bit of time and socialize.

However, there is the option to pre-order. This shortened our waiting time enormously - and the food came in exactly the right stages. We were so excited that of course we came again with the girls (4yrs/2yrs) - and we also had the rest of the family with us. There were then 10 people - so two of the three tables were occupied. Of course, even in the large group we ordered the food in advance. Despite the large group, we had our dishes at comfortable intervals. The service is familiar and extremely attentive. The portions are relatively small, so the price is a bit more expensive - but we think it's worth it. Wonderful place for a trip to Mexico! We were looking for a place that comes close to real Mexican cuisine and we found it here. The prices were higher and it takes a while to prepare. A starter is therefore practical. But the wait is worth it! There are only 3 tables (if I haven't miscounted). A reservation would be advisable! The atmosphere is a mixture of Swabian parlor, Mexico and a little touch of China. Great and unique! Unfortunately, the classic Pastor was already sold out on a Sunday evening. That's why we're coming back!

The place is well decorated, there are very nice details. The barbacoa taco is very good but it is the only good thing... the pastor taco has nothing to do with it, the jarritos (drinks) have nothing to do with it and the service is a Chinita who sometimes doesn't answer... If you are Mexican and are looking for something to remember Mexico you can come but I would NOT repeat it. €7.9 per taco!! Pure double P alv Relative!

We ordered carne asada, Barbacoa, birria, al pastor, and garnelen recommended by the boss, and every one of them was really full of surprises! My favorite is barbacoa and birria, and the beef stew is tender and juicy. The meat of al pastor and asada is grilled to a crispy and fragrant texture. The only drawback is that the al pastor is a little salty, which makes the birria feel a bit bland when I eat it later. The boss might consider the order of serving the dishes, from light to heavy, and there should be no problem. Garnelen is really surprised. I am a seaside person who has been hit hard by the frozen seafood in various restaurants all year round, but here it is fresh! It's a bit difficult to park nearby. You can try your luck at Finanzamt's free parking lot in the evening or on weekends. If not, you can only go to the parkhaus.

If you want to feel in Mexico, you have to visit skating tacos. The taste is as good as in Mexico. The fact that they have Pacifico beer gave me enormous joy. Recommended 100% by a Mexican.

A very cute restaurant on the ground floor of a half-timbered house in the old town. We make the most of the available space, but there are only three tables - so reserving is smart. The decoration is diverse and colorful and forms an interesting patchwork between Mexico and Asia. The food is similarly creative, lovingly prepared and very tasty. Not too spicy, as one might fear with Mexican food. The service was a little shy, but super friendly. She gave us very good advice regarding portions, additives, etc.

An Absolute gem in Stuttgart. My whole family is Mexican & I am from Los Angeles. Visiting this place was like being at home. The food was some of the best as well as flavorful I’ve ever had. It was clean including authentic flavors & atmosphere . The waitress was absolutely lovely & was accommodating to our very large dog, she also brought water for him. If you’re worried about the prices , DONT BE. The proportions were filled to brim, which usually gets skimped out on tacos (they do NOT! Skimp on the fillings). The drink options are a wide variety of drinks I would have growing up at home. Excellent excellent excellent. Will be back again very soon to keep trying more of their wonderful selection.

Kleines gemütliches Restaurant mit sehr gutem mexikanischem Essen. Hatten das Taco-Pack zum selber bauen, alles war frisch zubereitet und geschmacklich außergewöhnlich gut. Die Guacamole passt sehr gut dazu. Da es nur 3 Tische gibt, ist eine Reservierung empfehlenswert. Am besten bringt man etwas Zeit mit oder bestellt das Essen vor.

cheers to whoever recommended this treat. super chilled tiny place with 3 tables where. A Chinese couple is running that place since around 18 month and she handles the service nice and gently. May take a little bit and don't expect that all meals at the table arrive at the same time but that doesn't lower the experience at all. I think that was the best salsa I ever had. The self made tacos been super yummy as well just like everything we had. PS give them sweet a chance 😄

Bedienung super freundlich, essen sehr gut und authentisch. Die Guacamole ist mega gut und auch die Fajita ist sehr zu empfehlen. Nach mehren Jahren in Süd Kalifornien kann ich dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen.

Sehr nett und sympathische Frau als Service ist immer da und sehr freundlich.. Sie hat uns sehr leckeres Essen vorbereitet und mit uns sehr schön umgegangen. Außerdem das Restaurant befindet sich in ein sehr schöne Lage in Leonberg und man kann sehr gut die Sonnenuntergang genießen. Vielen Dank für sehr schöne Behandlung.

Diese authentische mexikanische Gaststätte überzeugt auf ganzer Linie. Das hervorragende Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist besonders zu betonen. Doch nicht nur das Essen überzeugt: Das äußerst freundliche Personal ist zu erwähnen. Ein absolutes Muss für alle, die Fans von Mexikanischen Essen sind.

Essen ausgezeichnet und lecker. Wartezeit zu lang (über 1h). Am besten vorher das essen bestellen bevor man dort sitzt und die Speisen auswählt.

Das Essen war ganz in Ordnung, aber knappe 2h auf eine kleine Bestellung zu warten wenn der Laden quasi leer ist, eine Zumutung.

So I came here for lunch with work mates because we heard the tacos were good so I had to try. Atmosphere I didn't go inside the restaurant but the outside patio was very nice and the cool and cloudy weather made it so much more pleasant. Service We called our orders in around an hour ahead to make sure our food wouldn't take too long. We got word on the way that it would be a little longer but we did get our appetizer once we sat down. The wait times was the longest it has ever been at a restaurant waiting for food. Total it was about 3 hours start to finish for 5 people and a couple of tacos each. Food I had the Carne Asada and Birria tacos. These were by far the best tacos I have had in Germany. Fresh, hot, flavorful, and overall amazing. It was similar to a normal tacos but had to eat it with a knife and fork. Recommendation The best tacos I've had in Germany hands down. Definitely prepare for the long wait but it's totally worth it. Come if you can.

the food was ok… but the spiciest food was brought out first and we had to wait for the shoots for a long time ( witch should have been there first and we would have been happy) then we found out that they don’t like walk ins … so it looks like it’s best to make a reservation! the waitress was nice to us after she understand that we didn’t know about the reservation….

July 11th, 2023 Skating Tacos offers an amazing venue for friends to enjoy the long absent flavors of Mexico in the Stuttgart area. Anni, Eric, Max, and I all thought it was absolutely incredible. I daresay, many of the tacos even surpass the quality you’ll find in San Diego. These Tacos are so good that after a night of indulgence I was put into a bizarre comatic state that lasted well into the next day. During this period, I wasn’t able to tolerate discussions with my colleagues about inferior food. They tried to start a conversation about microwaved burritos and I had to shut them down quickly; I was quite besides myself. I also couldn’t eat normal food–nor did I even want to. Breakfast was entirely skipped and lunch seemed like something I had to do instead of want. I could say that I was ok with never eating again after the life-enriching evening I had at Skating Tacos… and it wasn’t just me. Max, also experienced this comatic state with me. The homemade corn tortillas are probably the best I’ve ever had. I can’t ever recall specifically taking note of how good a tortilla was back in San Diego. While all the tacos are prepared incredibly well, a few stood out. I’ll first discuss my favorite three then give my thoughts on the others I tried in no particular order. Carne Asada: Just wow, honestly, we could end there. I considered writing something bashful here, like “how can I possibly describe something so good in words,” but that just won’t do. The carne asada is absolutely tender and juicy since they marinade it for a couple days. The flavors penetrate the meat and offer a citrusy and savory experience throughout the whole bite. It made me say “damn, that’s good.” Shrimp/Garneln: Following the theme of perfectly cooked meat, it’s impossible to cook shrimp to a higher quality. The texture was the ideal midway point between springy and bitey. It made me physically slump in my chair. Al Pastor Chicken: I didn’t have this at the restaurant. My first time having Skating Tacos was actually a few days prior as take away. I was so impressed by the quality of a 30 minute old taco that I had to go in person. The spiciness of the taco is what all reasonable people look for, spice that adds flavor, not just heat. However, locals will still find it very spicy. Fish: The fish taco comes with fried salmon and the batter is on point. It is very good, but it didn’t compare to, or surpass, my memories of fish tacos in San Diego. Personally, I think the sweetness of a flour tortilla pairs better with fish. Chicken Pico de Gallo: The chicken was grilled very well and contends for fourth place as my favorite. A most solid taco that offers great flavor. Al Pastor: This taco has a lot of things going for it, it’s reminiscent of “burnt ends.” But I just don’t prefer the tougher/dryer texture of the meat. I get that’s the style, there’s still great flavors so it's worth a try to form your own opinion. Fajita: This one is more unique and ventures the furthest from Mexican food that I’m used to. There’s a cinnamony/chirstmasy flavor in the meat. It’s different, it’s good, but I don’t see myself ordering it again when compared to the other choices. Again, it’s all very well prepared, so try it for yourself. Some final mentions; I’m not a huge fan of chickpeas, so the bite I had from Anni’s Taco was “whatever” for me. The homemade chips have a satisfying crunch, but they could step up their guacamole game a bit. Still, it’s better than what you could find anywhere else here. The cocktails are good, but as a bit of a snobby mixologist (ok, completely snobby), they got some work to do here. They tended to be on the sweeter side, rather than balanced. But I’d still order a drink or two next time I’m in. Due to the word cap, I won’t be updating this post with more thoughts on their other tacos. My final rating, “5/5 is the rating I give when I leave completely satisfied. Skating Tacos is a 7/5 for having put me in a 16 hour food coma and proliferating my day dreams with the desires to return.”

Stiff margaritas, delicious beef birria with spicy salsa, and fabulous buffalo cauliflower tacos were on our list today and I’m still thinking about it. What a surprise from this small restaurant. But as small as it is, it’s adorable, welcoming, tejano music in the background and when you have to “go”, really clean bathrooms. Looking forward to the next time. Make a reservation and they recommend you order over the phone what you want. This way when you get to the restaurant there is very little wait time. Neat little system.

Das Essen hat definitiv 5 Sterne verdient. Sehr lecker und so gute tacos noch nirgends gegessen. Im kleinen Restaurant herrscht ein bisschen Food truck atmosphere. Die Chefin kocht alles selbst und frisch. Hierdurch kann es zu Wartezeiten kommen die man einplanen sollte. Kurzes Mittagessen ist so schnell nee stunde lang. Verkürzen lässt sich das ganz durch vorher anrufen und Plätze reservieren und essen vorbestellen.

Kleines, nettes Restaurant. Wir wollte unbedingt Birria Tacos ausprobieren und dieses Restaurant war das einzige im Umkreis. Das Menü ist recht übersichtlich und logisch strukturiert. Die Bedingung ist extrem nett und sympathisch. Das Ambiente ist schön und man fühlt sich wohl. Man sollte im Winter hier definitiv reservieren, da im Innenraum nur drei Tische vorhanden sind. Und optimalerweise sollte man ggf. vorbestellen, da Wartezeiten extrem lang sein können (unser Aufenthalt betrug etwa 2 Stunden, da die Zubereitung lange gedauert hat). Die Speisen schmecken sehr gut, allen voran auch der Burger. Der Preis für die Tacos ist recht hoch, aber es handelt sich hierbei um eine aufwendige Speise. Insgesamt empfehlenswert, einziges Manko war die Wartezeit.

Fantastisches Essen, raffiniert gewürzt und zubereitet und herzlich serviert. Wir haben den Abend sehr genossen und uns von den Empfehlungen des Hauses verführen lassen. Wir kommen auf jedem Fall wieder um weitere Gerichte zu probieren. Alles gute für euch!

Wir wurden gebeten das Essen vorzubestellen. Als wir eintrafen mussten wir leider knapp noch 1.Stunde auf unser Essen warten. Trotz der Vorbestellung. Dann kamen die Essen leider auch nicht zusammen, Sodas wir jetzt fast einzeln essen mussten. Allerdings war das Essen komplett selbst her gestellt, und es hat Fantastisch!!! Geschmeckt!

Endlich ein „Mexikaner“, der seine Tacos selber macht!!!! Wir waren sehr zufrieden zumal wir durch Zufall auf das Restaurant gestoßen sind. Ich hoffe, bald mal wieder in der Gegend zu sein, um auch andere Gerichte zu probieren. Bei dem Restaurant gilt eindeutig: Don’t judge the book by its cover. Wenn ihr in der Nähe seid, holt euch da Tacos. Sie kommen dem Original sehr nah und sind kein klassischer Texmex. Ihr werdet es nicht bereuen.
