The Polonia has been one of my favorite restaurants in Aachen for years. It is very familiar, small and cozy. You should make a reservation during peak times, especially around 12:00. In all these years I have never been disappointed with food, quite the opposite. The pierogi are always a highlight, but also Krakauer, schnitzel, bigos, placki, pizza - everything tastes great here every time. Definitely worth a detour!

Today my friends and I visited the Polish restaurant MaXimA in Cologne. We were excited about the specialties such as schnitzel, roulade with Silesian dumplings and pierogi. The food was good overall, but didn't blow us away. The portions were average, but the Tyskie on tap was really tasty. The interior of the restaurant was cozy and invited you to linger. It was nice to enjoy the Polish atmosphere and experience a little bit of Poland in Cologne. Some other visitors also mentioned that they appreciated the authenticity of the food, but also had similar experiences with the quality and portion size. All in all, it was a nice evening, but for me personally that certain something was missing to make MaXimA an absolute highlight.

We had buffet. The food was hearty home cooking. For me it's more of a good lunch than dinner. I would prefer some Greek or Chinese restaurants for the evening. Staff was nice and friendly.

The old hut is moving to new premises at Schlagbaumer Str. 56, 42653 Solingen. Where the old fountain Greek restaurant used to be. Today we were on Merscheider Straße and enjoyed the Upper Silesian hospitality once again. We started with two Tyskie beers to warm up. As a starter there was a mixed piroggie (Polish dumplings) plate. These are filled with sauerkraut and mushrooms, or with meat and Russian ones with cheese and potatoes. Then there was ZUREK a kind of sour soup By the way: In addition to soaked rye meal, Zurek contains ingredients such as potatoes, root vegetables, bacon and/or sausages and spices. The slightly sour flavor of the fermented grain is often enhanced by the addition of kefir or buttermilk. My wife then had Bigos with bread. Bigos is more like one Kind of stew with beef and white cabbage and sauerkraut and and and. I had a beef roulade with dumplings and red cabbage myself. We really enjoyed everything and you can believe me, my wife is very critical because she comes from Upper Silesia herself

Great. Good food. The waiter doesn't know Polish, but the kitchen staff does.

Unheated place, musty, no requests for further requests. The menu is not translated correctly, pages are missing (one menu offers soup, another doesn't), a lady who was probably part of the restaurant was hanging on to the counter on the way to the toilet in such a way that it was uncomfortable to walk past it go, there was no movement to the side and no friendly smile either. Dark atmosphere with a trend towards a "Polish economy".... Since I have traveled to Poland, I know something to say about Polish localities - I have never experienced anything like that there.
