We have been here many times because - it is simply delicious and the food is worth the price. Everything fresh, delicious and lovingly prepared. From duck to goose to schnitzel, we have already eaten our way through the menu from top to bottom and from bottom to top. Our guests were also always impressed by the food and one (or two😂) fresh, cool draft beer. Furthermore, you feel welcome - there is a family with heart and passion at work here❤️who are always coming up with new dishes and dishes and spoiling the guests. I come back here especially on weekends, covering hundreds of kilometers, because nowhere - neither in Poland nor in Germany - have I eaten such excellent dishes. And I visited a lot of places. This place is a revolution on a plate. Every bite is proof that cooking can be an art. The flavors are perfectly balanced, the spices are balanced with apothecary's precision, and the ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality. Here, tradition meets passion and craftsmanship that cannot be found elsewhere. Service? Warm, professional, with genuine commitment. You feel like a welcome guest at home, not like a customer in a restaurant. The decor – cozy, elegant, with soul. Everything fits here and creates a harmonious whole. I'm not exaggerating when I say that Maxima is heaven in your mouth and a balm for the soul. If you haven't been there yet, you are committing a culinary sin! The restaurant made a very positive impression on us. The Russian dumplings were delicious, the pork shank had a perfectly crispy skin, the fresh tartare was perfect, the cold soup... One of the best we've ever eaten. We liked everything very much. The service also deserves praise - it was nice and professional. We will definitely come back!

This restaurant is a must if you want to try something new or are not averse to Polish cuisine. As soon as you enter you immediately feel at home. The ambience and the elegant furnishings with Polish pop music not only give rise to nostalgic feelings, but also radiate peace and serenity. When you enter, you are immediately warmly greeted with typical Polish hospitality and shown to your stylishly set table. There are various starters of the day, which are presented to you personally. The food is prepared and served in exactly the right time. It is also beautifully decorated so that the eye is not neglected. Of course, the national dish “Bigos” is recommended here. The service, like the food, is top. Everything is done to make you feel comfortable while eating. I was there for the first time with my partner for dinner. The prices for the size of the meals are generally a big exaggeration for a Polish restaurant in Germany. For example, 8 pieces of Russian pierogi for almost 17€, with mushrooms and cabbage a bit more expensive. The menu card is shocking with the prices of other much more expensive dishes. The taste of the meals is okay, but in nearby Polish restaurants in Germany you can eat tastier, much more and at much more decent prices. What is even more off-putting in this place, apart from the prices, is the arrogant waitress who pretends to be artificially nice. When I asked her a simple question about the menu, which was surprisingly incomprehensible to her, she answered in an unpleasant and dismissive way. This lady simply does not listen to what is being said to her. Then we ordered the same meals for ourselves and then she brought only one, because the waitress again did not understand and we had to wait an additional amount of time for the second person's dinner. We will avoid this place at all costs.

Unfortunately, the portion sizes of the main courses were very small, more like a starter. Price-performance is not right at all. Afterwards we ate our fill somewhere else. The taste was ok.

A great evening with very tasty food. The meat (duck) was tender as butter and the dumplings and sauce were a poem. The appetizer of dumplings from the oven on salad is delicious. The pancakes for dessert. Delicious ! Really a recommendation, we would love to come back.

However, from the better Polish restaurants, delicious ribs, dumplings, and the best one for me was Oscypek with cranberries

Since I had already been there once with my family, I knew what to expect in a positive sense. Unfortunately this time I was disappointed. Unfortunately, the food wasn't even lukewarm and the delicious dessert, which was described as warm, was unfortunately also cold. I won't visit the restaurant again, which I think is a shame.

I was there recently with my family for dinner. It was delicious. My boyfriend says that the potatoes with the pork chop were delicious. The service was nice. The atmosphere was a bit unreflective of Poland.

My wife and I were there for the first time. Everything was great. There is one but. Instead of paintings with flip-flops, etc., there should be girls in Polish folk costumes or landscapes related to Poland on the walls.

The borscht was lukewarm and the beetroot in the soup was partly wooden. Only traces of sauerkraut were found in the "Bigos", it was also barely lukewarm and has nothing to do with "fine cuisine". We complained that Prosecco was too sweet and not cold, another one was brought, but we still had to pay for it. I don't know any other dishes and therefore can't recommend them. I don't ever remember eating so badly.

Everything just fits here. Nikki in particular as Bewrirung is a dream. Otherwise it simply deserves 5 stars.

Very nice restaurant, the food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Throughout the entire visit you always had the feeling that you didn't have to wait long and call for someone from the staff to come to the table. The ladies always came past the table and looked to the right one. Highly recommended all around.

Authentic Polish cuisine and ambience. We ordered two roulades with Silesian dumplings and red cabbage. The roulade was tasty but unfortunately cold, the dumplings were watered down because they were probably cooked too long and the red cabbage was delicious. Unfortunately the food took a while to arrive, but the service was very friendly.

Today my friends and I visited the Polish restaurant MaXimA in Cologne. We were excited about the specialties such as schnitzel, roulade with Silesian dumplings and pierogi. The food was good overall, but didn't blow us away. The portions were average, but the Tyskie on tap was really tasty. The interior of the restaurant was cozy and invited you to linger. It was nice to enjoy the Polish atmosphere and experience a little bit of Poland in Cologne. Some other visitors also mentioned that they appreciated the authenticity of the food, but also had similar experiences with the quality and portion size. All in all, it was a nice evening, but for me personally that certain something was missing to make MaXimA an absolute highlight.

The service was very nice, friendly and quick. But the food was really bad. The Silesian dumplings were barely edible, really soft, as if you were eating mashed potatoes. The schnitzel was supposed to go from edge to edge, it actually only covered 1/3 of the plate. Little seasoned and hard. The fried potatoes were still raw on the inside. The whole meal is not at all justifiable given the very high prices.

The service was very friendly. I didn't find it very serious how the daily menu was presented to us right at the beginning on a tablet with pictures and videos, but no price information. The one meal we ate from it was particularly expensive. All the food tasted good to very good, but the portions are very small, so the price-performance ratio is not right at all. We left more or less hungry, but we paid a lot. Unfortunately, the ambience is also very mediocre, very mixed styles and furniture as well as private pictures and kitschy decoration.

For a trip to Polish cuisine, the restaurant not far from Rudolfplatz and Neumarkt is ideal. It's simply delicious. And it is well attended. So making a reservation makes sense. The service speaks German, Polish and English.

Very nice restaurant. The dishes are not all classic Polish. We were shown the daily special on a tray (including a knuckle, asparagus with ham, etc.). Service was very attentive and very friendly. Food was very tasty. However, depending on the dish, I found the prices to be simply too high (e.g. a beef roulad with 5 Kluski for 27 EUR). That may be the reason why we wouldn't eat here too often. Still worth recommending.

Das Essen war ok . Die Teller sehr voll. Mein Schnitzel zu fett. Man könnte das Fett abtupften lassen . Die Suppen gut aber viel zu teuer . Ein Dessert wurde kalt serviert obwohl es warm sein sollte . Ok hatten wir frei Schnaps aufs Haus bekommen. Dann kam die Rechnung….das war alles nicht billig. In Warschau in de Lux Restaurant wäre es billiger. .

We went to the restaurant for the first time for dinner with the family. The decor and atmosphere were ok. The waitresses are a little crazy, but that's a plus. The food... well, it didn't convince me... firstly, the price was a bit expensive... and secondly, the roulades were hard

Generally speaking, I am forced to add this opinion, although it is very sad for me. I went to the restaurant for the first time a year ago and, despite the "large" bill, the place made a good impression on me. (It was very tasty) After a year, we decided to come back with my partner and unfortunately we were very disappointed. This time it was even 'more expensive' but unfortunately she didn't follow it. In żurek soup for 12.5 euros we received delicious bread (you can't deny that) and half a ladle of soup with at least half an onion, 3 pieces of meat and mushrooms. In virtually all dumplings with meat there was some part that was inedible, sometimes a piece of bone, sometimes cartilage... Generally, the dumpling dough was flat (frozen and then heated too much) and even a human could accept it, but unfortunately not at this price. We wanted to order dessert, but unfortunately, after taking away the plates, the staff did not ask whether we wanted dessert, whether the dishes were good, etc., and instead we experienced arguments between the staff... Generally, summing up a year ago, I could say that this is one of the best Polish restaurants within 200 km, but today I don't want to. go back there.

We had dinner here with grandma on the occasion of her 70th birthday. And of course compared to grandma's cooking skills 😉. We really liked the food and service, it was almost like staying with family. 🤩😍

Price-performance not okay. The service was attentive and friendly, but the food didn't match the price. Yes, we were there on Saturday evening and I understand if you have to wait longer, we waited an hour for the food. The pierogi that I got were far dry, there was no trace of the bacon that I had ordered, so no one in Poland would serve me the pierogi, In addition, 2 of the 8 pierogi were missing the filling, they were empty and the filled ones were also filled very sparingly. I know it completely differently. I've cooked pierogi myself, I know that it can happen that the filling falls out while cooking, but for the price I expect filled and good pierogi. In the end I was so hungry that I didn't say anything to avoid waiting any longer, but I regret it. I'm sorry I can't give a better review.

Have been there 3 times so far. Really very tasty pierogi. Unfortunately, the younger service staff is in such a bad mood (almost unfriendly) that it really has a negative impact on the evening. So maybe again... but preferably at a table with the gentleman or the woman with brown hair.

Although we are vegetarians and the menu was very meat-heavy, the restaurant was able to offer us something delicious. They were also flexible enough to serve the variation as a vegetarian option. Overall a great dining experience and new experience.

It actually tastes good and the staff is very friendly. But… the price: €1.90 for a bit of ketchup, €8.50 for a 0.75L bottle of water and the daily special (schnitzel with a little iceberg lettuce without a side dish) €25, is really exaggerated. So I wouldn't eat there again for the price.

Zuerst hatten wir die pieroggie dies diente zur Vorspeise die waren sehr sehr lecker, und preislich auch absolut im Rahmen. Bedienung spricht sehr gut polnisch. Man bekommt auch vorab viele Speisen auf den IPAD gezeigt. Hatten einen schönen Abend und haben gut gegessen. Empfehlung.

I really enjoyed my meal, though I have to say that it was too small. Also, it's not the cheapest place around so know what you are getting into. Still, if you love food in this style, it gets a recommendation from me, both me and my date really enjoyed it. But, 3.5€ for an espresso is just rude, so I had to let it out.

I was with my boyfriend today. The lady was pushy, didn't let us get a word in and was rude. The Russian dumplings were very bad, and I must add that I ate them recently in Bonn and they were delicious... overcooked, pieces of white cheese in thick cubes, overcooked, just terrible. I will only add that since I am in a Polish restaurant, I would like the waitress to speak Polish with me and not answer me in German. When I was with Italian friends, they spoke Italian, like Arabs, they spoke Arabic... I heard so many good things and such disappointment. I will never go there again.

Great food and service. Köln is no gastronomic paradise, but here we found very good, authentic Polish dishes. We had baked pierogi with bacon, and braised pork (Schweinenacken) with a plums and garlic sauce. Everything was delicious and abundant. The pork came with potato dumplings that were better than your regular Kartoffelklöße. Service was good and friendly. Thank you, Nicole!

Very delicious food! Just poetry. Very nice service. The only downside is that the prices are maybe a bit too high for some dishes. Nevertheless, I recommend it and we always come back when we are in the area.

I would give the whole thing 3.5 stars First we had the pieroggie, which served as a starter, which was very tasty and absolutely reasonable in terms of price. Then I had the roulade and my partner had roast pork, both with Polish kluski (klöseln) In terms of price, however, this was absolutely too expensive (€27.90), the roulade was dry and the kluski was only warmed up again, so I was unfortunately very, very disappointed. According to my partner, the roast pork was delicious and a bit dry. The beer was good. Service was very nice.

Everything was fine, the service, the food, the atmosphere. We are always happy to come back here. We heartily recommend it!
