Anno Pomm in Köln

Apparently I had a bad day, but unfortunately the dishes didn't really convince me either. There was almost always meat. Rösti was still frozen... Drinks hardly carbonated (discounter products) But it was nicely presented and the food was ready pretty quickly, which is normal for potato dishes, as a lot of it is pre-cooked. The taste was completely fine.

We always enjoy coming here to dine.

We have been guests at this restaurant again and again for almost 20 years. That says it all, doesn't it? ;-)

Delicious, classically presented, honest potato dishes. But they actually go far beyond the potato. Many inviting side dish creations with potatoes, but also as the star of the dish. Cologne-style potato soup is one of the best ever! Service upon reservation and also on site was very attentive and friendly! Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back.

The ambience is great, the service friendly and attentive. The sauerbraten was a bit dry, the red cabbage a bit too sweet.

It was a nice restaurant visit in Cologne. The service was really great at first, but the later or busier it got, the longer we unfortunately had to wait. Nevertheless, the food was delicious and made up for the long wait.

Always an experience in itself. I love this idyllic restaurant with the great concept of the cuisine. The service is super friendly, the food always tastes great. One of my favorite restaurants, I can only recommend every potato lover to take a trip there.

A first-class restaurant to eat with very good service and fair prices. The rooms of the former potato house and today's Anno Pomms have a cozy, rustic charm, which goes well with a restaurant of this type. You walk through an inner courtyard into the restaurant, which is run by a first-class landlord who reacts flexibly to event requests. The food comes from a Junkersdorf bakery and tastes excellent! Instead of the usual, usually somewhat "floppy" rolls, you get very tasty brown sandwiches that have been prepared with a lot of sensitivity. First there is a potato soup to match the potato house and afterwards a delicious piece of cake. The coffee tastes delicious and there are parking spaces in the area, although not directly at the restaurant. The restaurant is only suitable to a limited extent for wheelchair users and people with walking difficulties, as the toilets are in the basement and can only be accessed via stairs. Despite this shortcoming, the Anno Pomm is, overall, highly recommended!

Nice restaurant with a good selection. At the beginning the service was very attentive, towards the end we had to wait a long time until the dessert menu came. We went to the counter to pay. The food was tasty, but not particularly great for the rather high prices.

The food here is excellent. One star is deducted because the portions are sometimes a bit small for their price. The service staff is friendly and very quick and often asks if there are any further requests. The rooms have a cozy rustic charm, which fits well with a restaurant of this type.

The food at Anno Pomm is very good, I've been there 4 or 5 times now. That's just part of a few days in Cologne :-) the staff is very warm, and even when it's busy you get friendly and courteous service. My special requests were always taken into account... The only disadvantage is that it is relatively loud (high rooms) when it is full. It's also nice to sit outside in the summer.

June 2024: I was there in 2011 for my children's communion with around 20 people and now again with my girlfriend... nothing has changed! The food is great and very varied, the prices are completely ok and the service is top - very nice, attentive and accommodating! Recommended for a nice evening for two as well as with a small (or large) group. It's really nice and I think it's absolutely great that there's still something like stability in these times - especially in the gastronomy scene! And there is also a great beer garden!

I am in Germany for the Euro 24 and came across this superb restaurant while visiting the area near the stadium in Koln . Very welcoming and friendly staff who weee only too pleased to help with the language barrier. Food was superb and really reasonably priced . Would thoroughly recommend.

The restaurant has a cozy and rustic atmosphere. The food is just great. The steaks are juicy and the potato gratin is world class. But the other dishes are also just great. The portions are generous and the price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable. Everything tastes fresh and juicy.

We have the impression that the quality has deteriorated extremely. There were 3 adults and 2 small children. The portions were ok, but the meat was again too well done and tough. The vegetables and the hash browns are definitely frozen goods. The sauce is super salty. Think the chef has been replaced. The prices are also far too high for that. We once really enjoyed eating there...the atmosphere is nice. The parking situation is a disaster. Conclusion: You can do it, but you don't have to.

We had our Christmas party here and were more than thrilled. All dishes are freshly prepared and really tasty. I would also like to highlight the great service. You feel like you're with good friends here. A clear culinary recommendation. We will be back.

Both the Bernese schnitzel and the vegetarian burger taste extremely tasty, as does the green salad, but the fries are rather mediocre. The atmosphere is beautiful, we felt very comfortable.

This is such a lovely cozy, rustic place where you can get real German food! Everything on the menu has something of potatoes in it. One of the members of our group didn't want potatoes, but they were able to accommodate her too, with steak and vegetables. I had turkey in a cream sauce topped with melted cheese, and rösti. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't eat crisply fried rösti. It came in a stoneware bowl, and had been in the oven with all that meat and cream sauce, so none of the crispness was left. I would have preferred rösti on the side. But it was delicious, anyway. I'd love to come back here again someday.

Für den Preis war die Portion sehr klein, geschmacklich war es okay aber nicht überragend. War etwas enttäuscht.

Hatte mir was mehr erhofft. Allein der Name. Unter dem dachte ich mir das Kartoffeln im Vordergrund stehen. Das heißt frisch gemachte Pommes, Reibekuchen usw. Mein Eindruck war das es um TK Ware handelt. Vielleicht täusche ich mich ja auch. Das Preisleistungsverhälnis wäre dann OK gewesen. Bedienung und Ambiente war gut.

Ich besuche jetzt seit einigen Jahren dieses fantastische Restaurant und bin sehr zufrieden. Anfangs war es immer das Wiener Schnitzel, welches mich und meine Frau dort hingezogen hatte, mittlerweile haben wir auch einige der anderen Gerichte probiert und alles was wir dort je gegessen haben war spitze!

Uriges Ambiente. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Das Personal war trotz merklichen Stress sehr zuvorkommend.

Cozy restaurant, sort of in a farmhouse style, with good German food fare, a nice selection of spirits, wines, and beers, non-alcoholic beers included, and very friendly wait staff. We were a party of six with two children, and all had a good time. I stuck to my previous review. All the dishes ordered were very good and plentiful. Our server lady was exceptional with everyone, including the children. A pleasant dining experience again.

Have been here many times. Several company dinners as well as private lunches and dinners. Have tried many different items on the menu and all were great. Especially like the pfanne dishes with sliced potatoes pan fried with pork. Large indoor area as well as somewhat more limited outdoor seating. Parking can be problematic as only street parking is available
