For us, Gdanska is the best restaurant in Oberhausen city center. The food is great, the atmosphere is very cozy, you feel comfortable and there is a varied program. The staff is very friendly.

If I ever end up in Oberhausen again, the store is a must. Despite the well-filled guest area, the staff was in a great mood, the food was great and arrived quickly and the pricing was good anyway. We didn't have enough time for the cultural program this time, but we'll make up for it next time.

Good Polish food, the atmosphere is extravagant and homely. I felt comfortable. It was a shame that there weren't enough staff there, I felt sorry for the service that evening, people were really running, hence 6 stars for the staff!!!

Very good food. The furnishings are of course a matter of taste. It's also really busy, it's loud and the waiters have a lot to do, you're not always noticed. Still a good restaurant.

We were here for dinner yesterday. First of all, it is a wonderfully beautiful restaurant that has been lovingly decorated. The food was so incredibly delicious that we wanted to go back straight away. You should definitely try the Polish flag afterwards. Everything was just great. Many thanks again to all the service staff and the boss. You just have it ❤️

We had a birthday dinner with 7 people here today. Ambience is rustic and beautiful. Service was good. The food was excellent. I have to say that at least one of us doesn't like the food or doesn't like it that much. But none of us really had anything to complain about today, so we all gave it a well-deserved 5 🌟 stars for the food. A big compliment to the kitchen. Keep it up.

Beautiful pub, restaurant and event pub with a large beer garden. Food is ok. but nothing special. Reasonable prices! There are 5 stars for the great service team, always friendly, relaxed, very attentive and quick!!

Based on a recommendation, we drove from the Heinsberg district to the Gdanska restaurant and were not disappointed. The restaurant offers plenty of space and has some comfortably furnished rooms. We were always served quickly and very friendly throughout our visit. The food I ordered tasted very good and at first I could hardly decide what to take. One or two dishes reminded me of my grandmother's cooking skills. I will definitely stop by here again.

The “Gdanska” restaurant is a real insider tip! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The menu offers a diverse selection of traditional Polish dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The Pierogi selection, which is available in both savory and sweet variations, is particularly recommended. The fish dishes are also a delight – perfectly prepared and served with aromatic side dishes. The service is attentive and friendly, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. The wine selection complements the food excellently. All in all, “Gdanska” is a place you should definitely visit to experience Polish cuisine at its best. An absolute must for every foodie!

On the recommendation of friends, we went to Gdanska on October 6th, 2024. In short: the food was simply great; location unusual but beautiful; Staff very friendly - here too a special thank you to the very friendly waitress Magdalena. All in all, it was a very nice evening with our guests; the good food…….. and we will definitely be back.

This Restaurant wants to be special, however it is not. Me and my husband experiencing a very unfriendly and unwelcome atmosphere since the first we step on the place. It was a young bartender who asked in such an unpolite manner to us, esp. to me. He told us to wait till other waitress to come, however, when after 5 minutes we've been waited, finally the waitress came, instead of bring us to the table, she just asked do we have a reservation, then we answered no we don't have, instead of explaining us furthermore or bring us to the table, she just speak with the young unfriendly bartender and do other stuff leaving us standing there without further information. We've been to many others high end restaurants in other countries and this restaurant wish to be high end restaurant but their service is absolutely horrendous! It's not worth then I decided to leave.

Can't say anything about the food. Was very crowded. After 5 minutes of waiting we still couldn't tell whether a table was available. Then we left again...

Restaurant with many Polish specialties on the menu. The venison goulash with Polish potato dumplings was a real treat. Super delicious and, above all, homemade! Very comfortably furnished and the staff enjoy their work. Very happy again.

Pretty good. But I will say this: this Gdańsk has a touch of Danzig. Or like Polish with a German accent :) The prices are of course German 😉 Overall, I recommend visiting and trying it.

The pumpkin soup from the autumn menu was very tasty, the service was very friendly and quick. The pierogi with strawberries were also delicious, but I would recommend sharing.

We have now shown the restaurant to guests twice and also eaten there. Everyone is excited.

Das Essen (gebratene Würfelklöße in Pilzsoße und Polnischer Probierteller) war lecker, aber auch irgendwie unspektakulär. Der Grund dafür war vielleicht, daß ich bei einem Besuch vor einigen Jahren von dem Lokal schwer begeistert war und deshalb eine hohe Erwartungshaltung hatte. Kraut und Krakauer schmeckten diesmal hervorragen, die Klöße dagegen empfand ich als etwas fade. Leider verrechnete sich die Bedienung am Ende zu meinen Ungunsten bzw. versuchte das.

Rustic restaurant with a beautiful outdoor terrace. The food goes like this, it's too heavy for me and little things are missing.

Food is very tasty, service is completely disorganized - there is no permanent service person who is responsible for the table, but if you want something you always have to speak to a service person who happens to be passing by. We were there last Saturday and there was a live band playing, so extremely loud that you couldn't hear anything for a long time afterward. Excessively loud!

A surprising little pearl among restaurants, the food immediately transported me to Poland. I will definitely eat there again

Nice ambience. Music summer night in Gdanska is great. It was full. The service was busy. You had to wait. The Krakauer and the beer were delicious.

Today I was very disappointed. The 0.3l cups were not filled to the calibration mark, but only upon request. There was also music on the program from 6 p.m. There was only a sound check until 6:10 p.m. and then the band was gone by 7:00 p.m. At least it was well attended.

I was transported back to my childhood, it tasted like grandma's at home 😍 The service was A1, nice, courteous, humorous, unbelievable. I haven't felt so comfortable in a long time. I was there ten days ago and wanted to grab something to eat after a busy Sunday evening. First, after a long wait, you are told in an unfriendly tone that you should sit a little closer to the main entrance because you have chosen a spot a little further away. And this despite the fact that there was a family of four (!) eating just two tables or a good three meters in front of me. If Gdanska doesn't want you to sit down there, then they should set up fewer tables. But of course, for events like watching football, when the place is buzzing, you're happy to walk a few meters further. Then at 7:40 p.m. you are informed that you won't get any more food because the kitchen closes at 8:00 p.m. Strange, in the past you could order something to eat until shortly before 8 p.m. and get it later. That would have been okay too. Or is it perhaps because I was traveling alone? You don't "earn" as much as you would with a couple or, better yet, with a group. But it's like everywhere else: as soon as you've "earned" more than enough at the expense of others, the customer is no longer king. And I was there regularly as a customer before.

I ordered the Polish sample plate, which I mostly didn't like very much (doesn't represent Polish cuisine). My companion had the Greek salad, which wasn't that tasty either. My second companion had the beef roulade. It was really tasty. I think a few other dishes would also taste good here. The service was nice

Very nice, cozy atmosphere! Not too loud either. So you can have a good time. Reservation is an advantage. I had the "Polish tasting plate", but would probably try something different next time...

Due to the closed Polish restaurant in Duisburg, I decided to give the Gdańsk one a second chance. Unfortunately, I was disappointed again. The roulade was dry to a crisp, just like the Silesian dumplings. The meat and the dumplings should melt in your mouth, when we asked the chef why they were dry she said "so you can pour the sauce on yourself". In my opinion, such a comment should not be made unless the boss has no idea what the Silesian dumplings are supposed to taste like. Only the liver from our table was good, although fries from a package are a misunderstanding in such a restaurant, most of the dishes there have the impression that they come from a package, so they should also change the name to POLSKA FROM PARCEL 😂 maybe then the prices would be adequate to the quality... it's expensive and somehow very weak! The sour rye soup tasted like it came from a package because the sourdough soup is not that thick... I don't know how people still come there, paying a fortune for food that is not even good... we will definitely not visit there again. I do not recommend. Waiters and waitresses are very nice, friendly and helpful.

A lovely evening with delicious food and great service with very courteous and friendly staff. Changing with 4 people from the reserved table inside to outside and again inside, as the band performing was very loud, was handled easily. Pleasant atmosphere. The vegetarian dish cauliflower with green asparagus was a bit expensive for the quantity at €15. All in all a successful evening. We are happy to recommend

Friendly waiters, tasty żurek as always, and as for the main course, it may look good in the first photo, but as we can see in the next photos, is this what Silesian dumplings should look like? Dry, when I asked the chef if they were freshly made, she replied yes and whether they tasted good. When I said they were average, because they were dry, I was told that they needed to be poured with sauce. 😄 Well, obviously something went wrong here, and the fresh dumplings don't look like that, the roulade just as dry On the plus side, the liver was quite tasty, while the roulade cost 20-some euros and everything was dry + the boss's comment that the noodles had to be eaten with sauce to have the flavor? Without sauce, they should melt in your mouth and be well seasoned, just like the roulade
