For details, please refer to other guests' reviews. Overall, I'm just surprised that Polish citizens don't fly to this exquisite Polish culinary and artfully run institution more often. Since I lived in the northeast of the country for many months – albeit a quarter of a century ago – and at that time, unlike most restaurants there, I was only served such excellent food and entertainment in a private setting, it can only be due to the lack of a convenient landing spot here... We waited over half an hour until the waiter came Then he only brought half of our food and the prices here are overpriced (fried potatoes with fried eggs for 15 euros, for example) So I really don't need to have this store again

Gdanska is the best the Ruhr area has to offer. The food is great. The people are always friendly and funny and the decor is unique.

Very tasty food (mountain schnitzel with crispy fries and sweet and sour coleslaw), plus Tyskie with and without alcohol, very friendly and professional service (our food came at the same time, everything was hot, very attentive when ordering drinks, etc.).

Hello, we experienced Polish cuisine for the first time. Very interesting and incredibly tasty. Plus the unexpected ambience, which we really liked; away from the cool, modern what is on offer these days. We were there on Sunday at 5 p.m. and it was quiet. When the place got fuller an hour later, me you noticed that too. You just need hands. But that's definitely bearable and therefore full marks. Greetings from Mark from the Netherlands.

Food: Super authentic Polish food. Very tasty and good portions. The Polish tasting plate is very good for trying something from all the specialties. Service: Very friendly and helpful. The employees always had a smile on their faces. Ambiance: Great beer garden in a cozy location. The interior decoration is very cozy and furnished with many details. Great restaurant that I would recommend to everyone :)

I went there for the first time because it was recommended to me. The food is very tasty, the atmosphere is nice and the waitresses are all very nice. Relatively speaking, I find the dishes a bit too expensive; for me the price-performance ratio is not right. But the food is delicious. You absolutely can't complain about it :)

We felt really comfortable here and would love to come back. 🤗 The Gdanska is quite centrally located on the "Old Market" and offers a few parking spaces directly at the hotel, albeit limited. The rooms are very clean and furnished in a cozy, old-building charm that's full of memories. The managers are happy to chat, and you almost feel like you're staying with old friends. This was our third time eating there and every time it was great. The price-performance ratio is right, the employees are quick, friendly and funny and the food was always great. I can only warmly recommend the Raspberry Dream dessert. It wasn't the last time we ate there.

We were there for the first time. It was very busy that week, we had a table in the middle of the back room. Unfortunately, the chairs were very uncomfortable, so that after a short time we had back pain. There are also tables with other chairs/armchairs, but they were occupied. I found the food (pierogi, stuffed dumplings, croquettes with meat) tasteless. Spices were missing. However, the Bigos was delicious and so was the cheesecake. In general, the store is individually and tastefully decorated, there is also a small play area for children, which I thought was nice. The service and reception were friendly. I wanted to order something to take away later, I said this twice, and when I wanted to order it, the kitchen was already closed at 9 p.m. A hint beforehand would have been good, as I had already mentioned it twice. At least the waitress apologized. You can park on the street, but it's very cramped so you have to plan on walking for a few minutes. I don't know if I would go there again......

Great service, nice atmosphere, unfortunately I can't say anything about the food because I was there at a time when the kitchen was already closed, hence the star deduction. If you ask me, the kitchen could stay open a little longer, but I understand that's not the case. Otherwise, always happy again, it certainly wasn't the last time I was there.

I came to Gdanska for the first time with two friends and it was absolutely great. There is a large outdoor area in front of the restaurant. The first impression when entering is cozy and clear, but the area opens to the back and reveals several rooms with a stage. We sat right next to the stage. During the various cultural programs on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025, we had the opportunity to get to know a vernissage by Mr. Peter Smolka "Pop-Art Artist". We also had the opportunity to get to know the artist better personally. The entire stay was very warm, accommodating and extremely pleasant. The operation is also worth highlighting. Very personable and friendly. Nicole in particular will be remembered very positively. The food was very authentic and very tasty. The ban on pork was even taken into account and implemented. Bardzo dziękuję! Absolute recommendation!

The service was professional and served, the food was tasty, but I was not impressed with the decor of the attic, which could be refreshed. Unfortunately, at the end I ordered a fanta but I didn't receive it after waiting 20 minutes.

All my guests at the table were thrilled. I would particularly like to highlight the selection of dishes that I have never seen anywhere else. Although the restaurant was very busy, it was still pleasantly quiet. We come here regularly.

The Gdanska is really highly recommended. The food is typically Polish and the portions are therefore very generous. In terms of taste, it tastes like mother's, so very tasty if you don't understand that with your mother 😉. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a jazz club, which isn't a bad thing, and there is a stage in the main hall where live music is played every now and then. The service was nice and friendly and you are greeted and said goodbye with typical Polish warmth.

So if there is a cult pub or restaurant, then it's called Gdanska...Everything is right here, except that Gdanska is always quite full and you should usually reserve a table. And in addition to the food, there are fine, well-curated concerts, readings and cabaret...So don't go!

I was born in Upper Silesia. The food was as delicious as my grandma's. Simply delicious! The service was nice and the food was served super quickly. The restaurant is surprisingly large, but at the same time really cozy and furnished with a lot of love. Truly an unforgettable stay!

Yesterday we went to Gdanska for the first time with 4 people for dinner and then to the small, fine concert with Norman Keil👌. Previous reviews were promising but I have to say it was really really good. The food was on point and the staff were all super motivated and very, very friendly. Clear recommendation 👍👍👍. And a little tip 😊. If you should have the pirogues with strawberries or blueberries for dessert, don't go for such a big main course 🙈😂. This is almost a whole meal in itself, or you have to share.

It was our first visit to this restaurant. We had concert tickets and we thought we would try out Polish cuisine. The reception was very friendly. We were there on a Saturday evening with a total of 11 people and had of course announced ourselves electronically in advance. The prepared table was in a relatively quiet corner, where we were able to have a fairly normal and calm conversation - even though the restaurant seemed almost overcrowded when we entered. The service - a young man - was very friendly and attentive and provided us with drinks and food throughout the evening to our complete satisfaction. The food was very good, tasty and, in our opinion, quite cheap. Vegetarians are given special consideration in the menu and special requests for dishes are also taken into account. Everything was freshly prepared and served almost at the same time. However, a friend who had ordered potato pancakes with smoked salmon and sour cream said after eating that the pancakes used to be “better”. Nevertheless, she didn't leave the restaurant hungry. Everyone else was in a restaurant with Polish cuisine for the first time and after the visit they unanimously agreed that we should definitely make a repeat visit there. Our visit to GDANSKA was worth it and we would like to thank the employees for a really nice, tasty and sociable evening in a somewhat unusual atmosphere. .

Es ein sehr äußerst charismatisch eingerichtetes Restaurant, um den Wände sind mit polnischen Künstlern, Poeten und Musikern gemalt. Sie haben eine schöne kleine Bühne wo manchmal Akts auftreten. Und das Essen schmeckt sehr lecker. Man merkt dass sie nicht schnelles Essen verkaufen sondern was mit Herz und Liebe zubereitetes .

If I ever end up in Oberhausen again, the store is a must. Despite the well-filled guest area, the staff was in a great mood, the food was great and arrived quickly and the pricing was good anyway. We didn't have enough time for the cultural program this time, but we'll make up for it next time.

Good Polish food, the atmosphere is extravagant and homely. I felt comfortable. It was a shame that there weren't enough staff there, I felt sorry for the service that evening, people were really running, hence 6 stars for the staff!!!
