Das Essen (gebratene Würfelklöße in Pilzsoße und Polnischer Probierteller) war lecker, aber auch irgendwie unspektakulär. Der Grund dafür war vielleicht, daß ich bei einem Besuch vor einigen Jahren von dem Lokal schwer begeistert war und deshalb eine hohe Erwartungshaltung hatte. Kraut und Krakauer schmeckten diesmal hervorragen, die Klöße dagegen empfand ich als etwas fade. Leider verrechnete sich die Bedienung am Ende zu meinen Ungunsten bzw. versuchte das.

The food and service were very good. The ambience is very nice. You can sit comfortably, even after eating, and enjoy the drinks. In the guest room, the atmosphere is very cozy and stylishly furnished. We'll definitely be back.

Great restaurant with a great ambience, only the food has become bad, it's a shame

Food is very tasty, service is completely disorganized - there is no permanent service person who is responsible for the table, but if you want something you always have to speak to a service person who happens to be passing by. We were there last Saturday and there was a live band playing, so extremely loud that you couldn't hear anything for a long time afterward. Excessively loud!

Rustic restaurant with a beautiful outdoor terrace. The food goes like this, it's too heavy for me and little things are missing.

Today I was very disappointed. The 0.3l cups were not filled to the calibration mark, but only upon request. There was also music on the program from 6 p.m. There was only a sound check until 6:10 p.m. and then the band was gone by 7:00 p.m. At least it was well attended.

We are visiting Oberhausen and we came here on a recommendation... I was transported back to my childhood, it tasted like grandma's at home 😍 The service was A1, nice, courteous, humorous, unbelievable. I haven't felt so comfortable in a long time. I am overwhelmed by the hospitality, the good food and everything around that I really write my review from the heart. Great team thank you for the childhood memories ❤️

I was there ten days ago and wanted to grab something to eat after a busy Sunday evening. First, after a long wait, you are told in an unfriendly tone that you should sit a little closer to the main entrance because you have chosen a spot a little further away. And this despite the fact that there was a family of four (!) eating just two tables or a good three meters in front of me. If Gdanska doesn't want you to sit down there, then they should set up fewer tables. But of course, for events like watching football, when the place is buzzing, you're happy to walk a few meters further. Then at 7:40 p.m. you are informed that you won't get any more food because the kitchen closes at 8:00 p.m. Strange, in the past you could order something to eat until shortly before 8 p.m. and get it later. That would have been okay too. Or is it perhaps because I was traveling alone? You don't "earn" as much as you would with a couple or, better yet, with a group. But it's like everywhere else: as soon as you've "earned" more than enough at the expense of others, the customer is no longer king. And I was there regularly as a customer before.

I ordered the Polish sample plate, which I mostly didn't like very much (doesn't represent Polish cuisine). My companion had the Greek salad, which wasn't that tasty either. My second companion had the beef roulade. It was really tasty. I think a few other dishes would also taste good here. The service was nice

Very nice, cozy atmosphere! Not too loud either. So you can have a good time. Reservation is an advantage. I had the "Polish tasting plate", but would probably try something different next time...

Due to the closed Polish restaurant in Duisburg, I decided to give the Gdańsk one a second chance. Unfortunately, I was disappointed again. The roulade was dry to a crisp, just like the Silesian dumplings. The meat and the dumplings should melt in your mouth, when we asked the chef why they were dry she said "so you can pour the sauce on yourself". In my opinion, such a comment should not be made unless the boss has no idea what the Silesian dumplings are supposed to taste like. Only the liver from our table was good, although fries from a package are a misunderstanding in such a restaurant, most of the dishes there have the impression that they come from a package, so they should also change the name to POLSKA FROM PARCEL 😂 maybe then the prices would be adequate to the quality... it's expensive and somehow very weak! The sour rye soup tasted like it came from a package because the sourdough soup is not that thick... I don't know how people still come there, paying a fortune for food that is not even good... we will definitely not visit there again. I do not recommend. Waiters and waitresses are very nice, friendly and helpful.

A lovely evening with delicious food and great service with very courteous and friendly staff. Changing with 4 people from the reserved table inside to outside and again inside, as the band performing was very loud, was handled easily. Pleasant atmosphere. The vegetarian dish cauliflower with green asparagus was a bit expensive for the quantity at €15. All in all a successful evening. We are happy to recommend

Friendly waiters, tasty żurek as always, and as for the main course, it may look good in the first photo, but as we can see in the next photos, is this what Silesian dumplings should look like? Dry, when I asked the chef if they were freshly made, she replied yes and whether they tasted good. When I said they were average, because they were dry, I was told that they needed to be poured with sauce. 😄 Well, obviously something went wrong here, and the fresh dumplings don't look like that, the roulade just as dry On the plus side, the liver was quite tasty, while the roulade cost 20-some euros and everything was dry + the boss's comment that the noodles had to be eaten with sauce to have the flavor? Without sauce, they should melt in your mouth and be well seasoned, just like the roulade

Gdanska is our favorite restaurant in Oberhausen, which we visit often. We were there on Thursday and wanted to reserve a table outside for Friday (European Football Championship). Unfortunately this was not possible and reservations for outside were not accepted. So we came to Gdanska on Friday by chance only to find that all the tables with a good view of the screen were reserved. Very very annoying and very unfair. A pity

Ate very tasty. I can only recommend cucumber soup as a starter. Bigos as the main course and pierogi filled with strawberries and blueberries in vanilla sauce for dessert. Everything was super delicious 😋 the young lady who served us was super nice and very attentive

The food was very authentic and super tasty. Some of the side salad elements didn't quite fit with Polish cuisine, but that wasn't a problem since the star of the restaurant is the main courses. The atmosphere is very cozy and the staff is very open, tolerant and friendly. Even shortly before the kitchen closed it was no problem getting something to eat. This is called real Polish hospitality.

We were here in June 2024 and the waiter Lennard served us and the food was really tasty and the waiter was super nice, I think. We were very happy that he served us. I still know the shop as a small pub. When the old innkeeper was still standing behind the counter and talking to the guests. Little by little, additional rooms including an event room were added and the outdoor area is also impressive. The quality of food and drink, as well as the service, are impressive and have only improved over the years. I always enjoy coming back!

Unfortunately we ended up in the restaurant through a recommendation. The first mistake was that the appetizer arrived before the drinks. The starter was also wrong, but hey, it can happen. Something was also ignored with the main course, so the food went back and we had to wait. Unfortunately, both dishes didn't taste good, the roulades were tough and hard, and the dumplings were still floury. The side salad didn't taste good either. It's a shame, the waitress probably noticed. We were no longer noticed. No questions asked if everything is ok or anything like that. In the end we had to actively ask for the bill, even though our plates were visibly set aside. Finally, I didn't receive enough change, so I spoke to the gentleman at the counter and he became very rude and very unfriendly. Overall, I could have thrown away €60. Disastrous store!

Good food and very friendly staff. Only the decor does not meet my expectations of a Polish restaurant. Pretty confused...

My dish was great, I would even say perfect (Polish tasting plate). Very tasty sausage, mega tasty pyrogi & dumplings. But the plate is not for vegetarians; in typical Polish fashion, there is meat everywhere. My partner had the roulade. This was a bit small, the sauce had hardly any taste & we didn't like the consistency of the dumplings. The ambience is great, the chairs are very comfortable Rustic as it is written in the book. The staff was above average friendly. We didn't have a reservation but still got a table (Sunday afternoon)

I go there every time to enjoy the dumplings with red cabbage and roulades, and so far I've always been satisfied. The team is super nice and tries to make everything possible and pays attention to signals if you don't want to be disturbed. My absolute highlight is the children's corner, unfortunately this is rare. As a mommy, I feel so welcome that I will come with my child next time! Many thanks to the great team ❤️

Nice Polish restaurant/bar/pub. SOMETHING ELSE. You will be warmly welcomed and shown to your seat. The whole decor, menu, etc. Everything was done with great attention to detail. The staff is super nice and other guests, many of whom appear to be regulars, are all addressed and greeted by name. You immediately feel comfortable. The food is also very tasty and as mentioned above - something different. If we lived nearby we would certainly like to come more often, but Gdanska remains a fond memory for us.

Amazing atmosphere thanks to the owners and international team!

It was unique. Was there for the first time with my medical assistance dog and my family. It was as if I had visited the other part of the family. We sat at the table and everyone did such a great job and the bosses came and hugged me as if we had known each other forever. It was the best restaurant experience I've ever had. We'll definitely be back!!!
