We would be happy to come back and even take the almost hour-long bus ride from Mülheim to Oberhausen. We went to Korali for the first time last night and absolutely loved it. Clear menu, fast and very friendly and attentive service team, even though every table was occupied. The dishes, mostly down-to-earth Greek home cooking, were served to everyone at the table at the same time at a sensationally good price-performance ratio. Many thanks to the kitchen and the service. We'll definitely be back soon. Update on April 20, 2024: 5 stars plus We kept our promise and had dinner at Korali with two friends last night. We each had two dolmades with tzatziki, saganaki as well as two Hercules and two fish plates. It tasted really good again. The dishes came to the table at the right time interval and, above all, at the same time. The service was very friendly and attentive. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. We've been enjoying eating there regularly for several years. The restaurant is usually very busy - because there is good food, very friendly staff and good prices with decent portions ;-) Reservations are therefore recommended - but there is usually a place for two, even on spontaneous visits.

The gyros are just so delicious, but the other dishes also taste very good and, above all, the price/performance ratio is very, very, very good 🙂

Had a delicious meal at this restaurant. Make a reservation because it is often full. In advance you get a salad, baguette and ouzo. I would have served that ouzo with dessert, but we certainly appreciated it! This time I ate the mix fish Fisch Teller (115) and Herkules Teller (61), tasted good and portion was good enough for us. Definitely try the starters next time. There is plenty of choice with all kinds of tasty dishes. Also important, food is served hot! That makes us happy. Bring cash otherwise you won't be able to pay! Update: we had a delicious meal there again. This time we reserved in advance because it was almost full. This time the starter is fried eggplant with tomato and tzatziki... delicious and dishes 54 and 55. Service is nice again and served super quickly. 🤩 There were more eateries like this. If you are sitting in the middle of the restaurant on such evenings you hear a lot of chatter, talking and hustle and bustle, and it is a bit much in terms of stimuli. Otherwise great!

Today we had d. 48th wedding anniversary and were thrilled. d.Friendliness of the staff of this family business. Furthermore, it was a very good meal and a very good price-performance ratio. The portions were plentiful and tasty. The service and the service were simply great. The fact that something like this still exists today was very pleasing for us. We will come here to eat more often with the whole family in the future. I would give even more stars if I could!

We have already been to Korali a few times. The food is always very tasty. I am amazed at how tender the meat is every time. The ambience has a Greek touch, has many tables, both inside and outside, and the smell of the country's typical cuisine permeates the restaurant, very pleasant and appetizing. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right. It's just a real shame that you can't pay by card but only in cash. But definitely worth a visit :)

This is by far the best Greek restaurant in Oberhausen, the service is excellent and the food is simply top and the price can't be beat. You should reserve a table in advance as it is always very busy.

Today we found our way into the small shop by chance. It doesn't look like much in terms of ambience, but that's not the most important thing. There was a loving atmosphere in the whole shop and you could tell that there was a lot of passion put into this. The food was very tasty and absolutely cheap, especially the prices on the lunch menu are unbeatable.

We have been coming to this restaurant to eat for more than 10 years and are always amazed at how good and tasty the food is. Even under the new leadership. Some dishes have been slightly changed, but we can only rate this as very positive. Everything here is delicious, from starters to main courses and dessert. The aubergines and zucchini are not greasy at all, the steak is very tender, the fish tastes great and the gyros and all the other Greek delicacies are always prepared fresh and delicious. The new owner and his wife as well as the rest of the staff are always very friendly and warm. Since the restaurant is very busy, you should reserve a table if possible. We always enjoy coming here, especially since our dog is also welcome. 👍❤️😍

Changed experience under new management – ​​mixed feelings We visited Korali Restaurant on Saturday evening with a large group of 13 people. The reservation went smoothly and the familiar location was unchanged, even if it is not particularly visually appealing. However, the restaurant has changed noticeably under the new management. The traditional bread with dip is still served, but the new dip wasn't quite to my taste. The food was served correctly and completely, but the portions were smaller and the quality of the food was no longer comparable to before. The gyro was particularly disappointing as it fell far short of our expectations. The service was acceptable, although we had to wait a long time for the bill, which resulted in a family member missing his train. What is positive, however, is the friendly gesture of giving the birthday child a bottle of wine. What particularly bothers me, however, is the handling of customer reviews. Apparently, critical reviews are being deleted, which undermines trust in the authenticity of the reviews. A family member left an honest review that was deleted, which is unacceptable to me. Overall, the experience at Korali has changed and unfortunately not for the better. We will not visit this restaurant again.

Greek restaurant but gyros really subpar. Cut way too thick, tasteless and dry. Very attractively priced. Service was OK. Atmosphere/ambience is no longer nice or contemporary. We won't be coming back again. Oh and a liver shouldn't be mushy either...

Good food at affordable prices. The service staff is very friendly. You can also order and pick up your food there by phone. Since the restaurant is always busy, reservations should always be made in advance. Furthermore, it must be mentioned that only cash is true here. In other words: card payments are not (yet?) possible here.

Dirty shop, guests are either ignored or spoken to rudely, and when they have questions about the dishes they are also addressed with an annoyed tone, especially from the Asian waitress, not recommended at all, there are much better Greek restaurants.

The fish plate: 4/10 The broad beans were very tasty, but the Latte Machiato was 2/10, actually has nothing to do with "Latta Machiato". Normally it's customary to get a free dessert here, but I didn't get one despite my kindness and tip. 🙂 I also asked the Asian lady, who was rude, if I could get the WiFi password! She said "I don't have WiFi" I asked another waiter again "yes we have" and wanted to enter the password into my cell phone, a minute later he changed his mind and said "that's only for personal" funny.. something like that doesn't even happen in a kebab shop.

Ein sehr schöner Laden, schöne Atmosphäre, super leckeres frisches Essen sehr viel auf dem Teller man wird 100% satt. Alles wird sehr schnell serviert ein tolles Team. Wir sind aus Düsselsorf hingefahren bald wieder,Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr angemessen findet man in Düsseldorf ist, es lohnt sich, wäre gut,wenn man vorab reserviert wird schnell voll!!

We came across the Korali restaurant by chance. We weren't disappointed at all. Good food at really sensational prices. The atmosphere is OK, the service staff are friendly and attentive. What we particularly liked was the good distance between the tables. With a stroller or walker you can easily get through the rows without bumping into other guests. Unfortunately, the toilets are one floor below and are therefore not accessible to everyone. We'd love to come back.

The two meals were really bad and afterwards we felt bad too. Gyros were watery, fries weren't tasty, Metaxa sauce was like thin tomato sauce and the rice tasted old and ranking.

Wir waren gestern Abend zum ersten Mal im Korali. Obwohl das Restaurant bis auf den letzten Platz voll besetzt war, hatte das Service Team alles im Griff und kümmerte sich überaus freundlich und zeitnah um uns. Die vier Hauptspeisen wurden zeitgleich serviert. Zwischendurch wurde öfters nachgefragt, ob alles okay sei und wir noch Getränke bräuchten. Und nun zur Hauptsache, dem Essen: Im Vergleich zu manch anderer griechischen Taverne übersichtlich, aber dafür sehr, sehr leckeres Essen, poli Kala! Und dazu sehr großzügige Portionen zu einem super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Herzlichen Dank an die Küche und den Service.Poli efcharisto! Wir kommen gerne wieder.
